Laura, MRI Tech, was incredibly kind and really accommodating. My first visit did not end with a MRI because apparently I'm even claustrophobic in the "open" MRI. Laura was kind and didn't make me feel any worse than I already felt about wasting her time. My second appointment with her was done quickly, efficiently, and with that same level of compassion she showed me on my first visit. I was a bit nervous today going in for an X-Ray and Ultrasound on my abdomen but the staff at this SimonMed location was just so knowledgeable and friendly that I was put at ease the moment I checked in. I didn't have to wait long to get in, the office was clean, and there was some pleasant holiday music playing while I was getting my Ultrasound. Billie Jean (Ultrasound Tech) was kind and so easy to talk to, I felt like she was a friend that I had known my entire life. I am thankful for the opportunity to get my procedures done at this location because I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My husband had an appointment at this location today for the first time, he's been to many. Anyways, from start to finish he was thrown back with how polite the staff was at this location. He said two ladies Laura S and Kendra K went above and beyond to make sure everything was correct. Wrong imaging was ordered and when one doctor didn't answer they went to the next, they didn't just tell him we'll have to reschedule. My husband had nothing but good things to say and said he was going to go to this location from now on. I had a HIDA (gallbladder) scan today and was so happy to have Jaron as my caretaker for the experience. He explained everything to me at at every step, constantly made sure I was comfortable and put up with my talkativeness without a single complaint. He let my husband sit with me between scan sessions and even had a heated massage chair available for me (I need one of those!). I came into the test expecting to have to lie still for 2 hours in a medical room alone, and ended up feeling more like I was having a spa day in my massage chair. The whole office was spotless and looked very professional and clean, which was a major change from the messiness of the MRI room in the different SimonMed office I was in last week. Thanks so much, Jaron, from turning a long medical test into a pleasurable experience. I didn't even know that was possible. :) read more

I went in for an ultrasound this morning, and Kendra greeted me with a big smile and warm demeanor. I was a little early, and expected to wait awhile. Kendra was very organized, and got me into my appointment early so I didn't have to wait! That was a pleasant surprise! Thank you for being awesome, Kendra! Then, Billie Jean took me back to the ultrasound room. I immediately felt comfortable because of Billie Jean's thorough explanations and warm, caring demeanor. I honestly have never felt so comfortable with an ultrasound tech before. Billie Jean truly cared about me, and it was so easy to talk to her. I felt like I was talking to my best friend - Billie Jean has a huge heart for people and I felt totally at ease through the entire procedure from beginning to end. Billie Jean set expectations so well, and made me feel special and loved. I will definitely ask for Billie Jean next time I need an ultrasound or other procedure at this facility. If i could give this SimonMed 10 stars I would. From the moment I walked in til the moment I left I had such a wonderful experience. I came in for an ultrasound, my ultrasound tech was BillyJean, she was ABSOLUTELY amazing! She called me back not too long of a wait which was awesome with having a full bladder. She did a stomach ultrasound and also a more invasive one. She made me feel comfortable the entire time. I truly felt I was in great hands. I will always ask for appointments with her if I am to need imaging again. Truly recommend this location and BillyJean. read more

The front desk girls were courteous and professional. My appointment was at 9:30, I arrived 15 minutes early as requested. I unfortunately did not get called back until 10:35. I think they could have done a better job informing patient why the delay of course it was insurance. Communication would have been appreciated. The mammogram and ultra sound was great. My son has a CT scan appointment tomorrow. They called him to tell him he will owe money, but they don't know how much. I called them back, since I am the insurance holder and the one paying for this. 30 minutes on hold to their "Financial department." I call back. Now on hold for another 11 minute and counting. I wonder how every other medical facility in Maricopa county is able to work with our insurance no problem, but this "State of the art" place cannot figure it out? And cannot provide us with any ball park figure. Last week for his MRI, they said it could be $0 or it could be $1,000. Really? Seriously? You have an entire department dedicated to "Financial" and you can't figure it out? Now I've been on hold 14 minutes. Tack that onto the original 30 minutes....Here's what I am going to do. Get my sons orders and go to another place. I'd rather him get an MRI from a back alley from a crack head before I will give this place any of my money. Only because the crack head could at least give us a price. Jeez. It's your one job front desk people, you have one job. Well maybe two...hand us a clipboard with a pen with a flower taped to it. Maybe give your employees a CT scan to make sure they really have brains. This isn't hard people. answering the phone isn't hard. OR maybe is there that many people calling to complain and the lines are tied up? Either way, I hope someone of importance sees this and has a little meeting to help you guys learn how to answer phones. Or maybe you can google it. read more

I don't normally do reviews like this but this place was very unprofessional!! We had a Horrible experience. Very disorganized. Rude employees!! To begin, we had an appt at another location the night before, their machine broke, so had to reschedule for the next day at this location. Mind you, we were never told they were still waiting on insurance or anything. Everything was good to go but the machine. Arrived at this location for our appt on time. Stated they were waiting on authorization which was already done per insurance company, but still waited for them to figure it out. While I was on the phone with my insurance company, they conveniently then tell me they have it. An hour goes by, still hadn't called my son back, so I go to inquire about time. Told that her supervisor stated it would be another 40 minutes. Really? What was the point of having an appointment and the fact that no one ever apologized for the their lack of processing the insurance correctly or my wait time. And in the meantime, saw several others being called back that had appointments after we did. Almost certain they kept us waiting on purpose. Will never use this location again!! Over 2 1/2 hours at this place. read more

Awful service. My chiropractor gave me an order to come in for an x-ray and CT. They told me walk-ins were fine. When I arrived at 12, a short lady with curly red hair told me they were not able to do x-rays until 1. She seemed a bit annoyed that I was there. I came back at 1 and went to front desk. She refused my paperwork and told me that I would need to wait for another person to come in to get my paperwork entered. So I waited as more people walked in and proceeded to front desk. Eventually there was a line at the desk and the lady was swapped out for a short, chubby, latino man in his late 20's/early 30's. Still sitting, waiting I watched as he helped everybody through the line. When he finally was finished helping the other patients, I got up and explained to him that I had talked to the other lady and she told me I needed to wait for him. Steve C, who had a bit of an attitude the entire interaction, then told me he could set up my scans and I was then given paperwork to fill out. I filled it out and returned it to the front desk where he said I would need to wait for another 20 minutes. At this point It's been an hour since I've shown up but I'm pretty stoked to finally be set up. I wait in my car and return only to be called up by Steve again to be told that they are not able to perform any of my scans today as "machines are down". Regardless if that is the case or not it was pretty clear I was not wanted there. I understand not wanting to deal with people but as someone who works in an office that is unacceptable. That type of behavior is the type to make someone question if they are receiving such treatment due to the color of their skin, etc... Be warned read more

I got sent there by my chiropractor to get some x-rays done it should have been a simple "fill out the form and get x-rays" 30-minute visit.. Max. Instead, I filled out the forms, the girl told me it'll be 30 minutes. I sat there for an hour before I went to the front desk and asked what is going on. She shuffled around a bunch of folders and said that my name was mixed up in the order but that since i had been waiting the longest, I would be next. I waited another 25 minutes. Again I asked them what is going on and can I get an estimation of time. They told me "oh you need to pay at the other window, she's entering your information now". "I said I need to know how long this is going to take, I cannot sit here all day.. you guys have told me 30 minutes with no update to that estimation of time". she said "well we're busy". I asked for my referral form back and I left. I saw other people going in and out but I saw multiple people who have been there before me still sitting when i left . I get very nervous getting any test done I'm sure a lot of people do.. Jaron was amazing explained every step of my test (Hida scan) made me laugh and feel at ease!! Hopefully I won't need to get more test but if so I would definitely be back to this location awesome friendly staff when you walk in.. Oh and the biggest plus is my appointment was scheduled at 11 told to get there early for paper work well I was already starting my test by the time it was 11!! read more

This morning I was scheduled for a CT scan at 8:30. Given the overwhelm of getting a scan, I arrived at 7:30. The secretary could not find my paperwork online despite having a confirmation phone call from SimonMed this past Saturday. After confirming that, she found the paperwork but insisted I didn't have authorization from my insurance. I was appalled and asked why they would call to confirm if they didn't have authorization. I asked to speak to a manager and she said he would arrive at 8:30. I asked if there was an authorization personnel that I could contact and she refused to give me that contact. I watched as 9 patients afterward got the exact same response. One patient even made a full payment and was denied by the secretary. Why was she confirmed an appointment and payment if they would not see her? At 9:30 the manager finally arrived. This manager reiterated the same thing the secretary said, yet there didn't seem to be any concern for the patient's problems. Another patient around 80 came in following me and was told they don't take her insurance, even though over the phone they allowed her to schedule the appointment and confirmed her. Eventually I was seen after 3 hours, but here is my biggest problem with this location- there is zero concern or communication with the clients. Why on earth is any client confirmed for an appointment if they aren't authorized? This is solely the responsibility of SimonMed and I sincerely hope the company considers looking into this. My only reason for giving a star is that Steve made numerous phone calls on my behalf and got me into my initial appointment. read more

I would like to write out a review about the lying site manager Steve. The day I went in, there was about 20 people within the waiting room. I asked at the beginning of my appointment before receiving scans how much it was going to cost me out of pocket total. Steve said $0.00 and that the visit was covered by my insurance as well as my doctors order was submitted to them. 3 weeks later I received a bill for $773.73. I called my primary care doctor in which she gave me the phone number to Thomas Russell who is their Simon Med rep. He let me know he was going to look into it for me and see what he could do. He didn't call back. So I then called him to follow up. He informed me that Steve said I must have misunderstood the situation. So I called Steve. He claimed to have never spoken to Thomas and had no knowledge of the issue. LIAR. He said he was going to follow up on the scenario and call me back. Which he never did. Today almost a month and a half later of me calling these "professionals", I called Thomas and he let me know I am responsible for the amount. If you need scans please get in the order from your doctor in writing and upon arrival have Steve confirm the amount of the scans in writing or get a voice recording. I am giving 1 star for the technician who did the scans on me and if I could give stars to Steve it would be negative stars. There's definitely a reason some people work the front desk and are not able to do the scans. read more

I wanted to leave a review for an amazing experience I had at SimonMed during a visit to get an ultrasound. I would say that with previous visits, the care of the ultra sounds techs and other individuals working make a world of a difference. As a young woman, I have had multiple experiences that have left my feeling extremely uncomfortable; but not on this day! I was fortunate to recently have the opportunity to work with Billie Jean. She was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. She showed care for my personal interest, personal space and a tremendous amount of respect for me during my entire visit with her. I am extremely grateful that I had the privilege of working with her and I would highly recommend you to work with her if you are able. Worst imaging place ever! As I am writing this I have been here almost two hours and that is with an appointment. My seven year old daughter is in pain and they could care less. Here's a thought Simon Med.... why don't you communicate with your patients and tell them that you are running over an hour late instead of letting them sit in your waiting room in pain. Poorly run. I'm just echoing other patients here. On June 20th 2018, I went in to the SimonMed Gilbert Val Vista office to get an ultrasound on both my legs. I've been to the Greenfield office and was used to being spoiled there. But Val Vista/Copperpoint has a secret weapon spoiling patients. Her name is Billie Jean. When I first met her, she offered to carry my backpack & store my walker (balance issues). She immediately made me feel comfortable enough that when I was offered a robe, I just dropped trou. She was taken aback a little bit, but I told her "Once you've had a colonoscopy in front of 3 female nurses, modesty kind of goes out the window." She laughed, & I thought "Good. She laughs at my jokes After that little exchange, we laughed & talked about the procedure, she narrated what she was doing, & how she was to do it, & calmed what little nerves I had. Billie Jean warned me about the intimacy of the procedure. I was comfortable enough to say, "Go ahead, feel me up." She laughed & said "You so funny." I said "If I was quiet, it means I'm annoyed and wanna get out of here." We talked about movies ("Heathers"; which she's never seen), my next appointment, a doctor to see, & general stuff. After she finished the procedure, she was nice enough to help me get my shoes (bad back), and still offered to carry my backpack. The office itself is very nice, bright & clean. The front desk girl (I'm sorry I didn't get your name) was business-like, but welcoming. THEY GOT WI-FI which makes it easier to wait for my taxi. Or, I could've watched the documentary on TV. I have another appointment coming soon. I have no trepidation going back to this office, thanks to Billie Jean. read more

SimonMed used to be the best. The last year or so they have tumbled to the bottom. They ask you for $400 because you haven't met your insurance deductible even though the service you are getting is completely covered. It then takes at least 6 months to get your refund and 2 people I know had to put the amount on payments which is not refunded when they finally refund your money that should never have had to be paid in the first place. Apparently they are hard up on money as they clinic I SimonMed I went to today didn't even have bandaids and asks they patients if someone had one. When they called me I asked if there would be a copay, and they said they didn't think so. Today, they wanted $383. Obviously, I walked out and will find a company that has better principles and isn't broke. I work hard enough for my money that I don't need to be robbed by SimonMed. I've used SimonMed for over 15 years but they've become unscrupulous, so no more. read more
