Staff was pleasant ! Major downfall was I had to wait over 1 hour in the lobby for my appointment. I arrived 15 min prior to my appointment time and then they called me up 30 minutes after I had been waiting to tell me it will be at least another 40 minutes because they are behind and then she stated my appointment was at 3:40 when it was only 3:15 at the time . My appointment which I received confirmation emails& texts for was at 3:00. No respect for clients time here. What's the point of an appointment. read more

I'm leaving this review not for SimonMed as a whole. Their website is not helpful at all if you don't need scheduling but want to ask a question. I have never called here and not had at least a 30 minute or more wait on the phone and at least as long a wait for chat. THEY DO NOT MAKE THINGS EASY FOR PATIENTS. I have called numerous times and asked for a call back as instructed in their "menu" and have yet to have received a call back. I'm SO sorry that they are the only game in town where I'm at. My doc scheduled a CT Scan at SimonMed for me. When I arrived they confirmed my appointment was scheduled but no Doctor was in case I had a Allergic reaction so I would have to reschedule. They checked the other locations and sent me to their Tempe location and said to drink a bottle of Barium. As I was driving over and trying to drink that horrible sweet tasting chalk the Tempe location called and said they were overbooked and I would have to reschedule. Nothing is as fun as being told 2 hrs and then when you check back in 1 hr later to be then told again, 2 hour wait.

Scheduling was a nightmare. I called the exact location where my appointment was supposed to be, but was transferred to some agent based in another state. The scheduling agent over the phone had trouble communicating properly in English. Once the appointment got scheduled there was some protocol problem with my particular exam. However no one from the staff notified me about this problem until I arrived the date of the appointment. They could not take the time to find my email or phone number from my physician, who faxed my information over a week in advance. I was told last minute upon entering the facility by an unprofessional desk attendant that my particular exam cannot take place due to some absurd protocol. Also they had this TV in the lobby area that was obnoxiously loud, which made it hard to hear the attendant speak. Feel bad being forced to give even 1 star to this business. read more

The front desk first checking in, Jesi, not sure if that is her name, but that's what she wrote, first time to this location, she told me how much, I asked if I can pay half now, that I always over pay my amount, she said " no", I explained that is a pain in the butt to call billing to get a refund for the over payment, then she said she can't do half, that she will need the supervisor to say yes, I sat back down, then was called back, everything with the tech was good, I went back to the front asked for a disk of my x-ray from the other girl, she said yes, 10 minutes, I said ok, sat back down, then that Jesi called me back up, she started to tell me, " you shouldn't have been taken back, I was waiting to get approval for you to pay half, but you went back, I can't do half, I verified again with your insurance your amount", it took me a second, I re-asked what she first said, she told me again, then said" well it's okay I will talk to the tech., but their not supposed to take you back without paying, that after you get it done you can say no etc. I replied," you shouldn't have told me about what the tech should've done, that's very unprofessional, before I could walk out, she starts talking to the tech, but didn't say anything about why I wanted to pay half, so I went back to the window and explained it to him and mentioned how she told me right off the bat how you shouldn't have taken me back, etc. and I told her I didn't need to hear that part that that part was very unprofessional on her part and her attitude. I was ordered a CT scan with contrast by my doctor. I scheduled my online appointment for that and received a confirmation. When I arrived I was told to have a seat where I waited for a bit of time only for someone to come out and tell me that they cannot see me because they don't do CT scans with contrast on Monday's. So why was I able to schedule the appointment on a Monday if they don't do that test on Monday's? I was told that all I could do is reschedule, I told them I would have to call to schedule because of my work schedule and left. I have since then tried calling to schedule multiple times, have been put on hold, hung up on, and been told I would get a callback and have not. Trying to schedule with this place has been near to impossible. read more

This is a review of the office administration, not the medical testing services: This details events today, June 5th, 2020. I brought my wife to SimonMed Imaging at 1:30 pm for part 1 of her nuclear imaging test. She gets an IV dose of radiation and is told to come back at 4 pm for part 2, the imaging. We get back at 3:30pm and they call her in around 3:50pm or so. So now at about 4 pm, the young man receptionist locks the front door. At 4:15pm he tells me and the other waiting husband that we must exit since they are now closed. 'Sorry, you must wait for your wives outside." I said "wow" and gathered her purse, our water bottles, my drink from the sub shop, and my tablet and out the door I went. Not like it's 75 degrees outside ----- and the posted hours say they close at 5 PM. SimonMed Copperpoint....Where patient family members don't matter and posted hours don't matter - or at least didn't matter today. My guess is that the receptionist had to leave earlier than normal and modified corporate hours to suit his schedule. What initiative! read more

Scheduled an MRI on my c spine aka my neck, and handled everything online. I got an apt right away by choosing the pay out of pocket since I needed a code from my insurance.... And well no thanks! Anyways showed up about twenty minutes early (my apt was at 9 am) and I was in and out by 9:18!!! Check in was a breeze since I handled all the paperwork online and I opted to pay cash price and decided to not go through my insurance .... Which was only $300!!! The last MRI I had was $750 and that was through my good insurance!!! I waited about four minutes until they called me back. The tech that did my MRI was nice and to the point, she immediately started the scan as soon as I laid down. I highly recommend this place, and will come back here if I need any other testing! The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and nice. I was very nervous coming in because I have never had a HIDA scan before. My tech (Jared) was very friendly and made me feel as comfortable as possible, even turning on a pandora station for me! Afterwards I still had questions about post scan, due to still nursing my 3 month old. He took the time to get on the phone and answer all my questions more than once and even offered to call me with more information! read more

My visit to Simon Med today has been the best, I was received on time, the receptionist was very nice and helpful. Once inside I had Mary to do my CT with contrast, she is great, no pain when she pinched for the IV, and the best thing, when the iodine solution was entering in my system, was very smooth, she knows how to do her job. JFC. Had an order from my doctor to get an MRI. When I showed up for my appointment, the person at the front desk said they didn't have anything in the system and that she had tried to call yesterday but no one answered the phone. So I called the doctors office and spoke to someone who gave her the information that she needed. They then have to get the authorization person to approve it. What a goat fuck. 20 minutes after my appointment time which was 50 minutes after I had arrived, I just got up and left. There has to be a better provider than Simon med imaging. Their processes and customer service are horrible. Several other people came in for x-rays but they only do those on a walk in basis and they were being told one and a half to two hour wait. You've got to be shitting me. read more

The folks at Simon Med imaging are very helpful and easy going. My advice however is call to make your apt. The scan technicians have been awesome on all my visits. If you get a scan with IV contrast it's real easy, no problem with IV.. Everybody in my sphere has had a helpers spirit. Really super. I entered the dimly lit scan room, the room was warm and comfortable, and the technician quickly put me at ease, I was provided with a towel to be more "comfortable" and the scan begins, 10 mins all done. Really quick and easy. Super great service. Thanks for the help!! I greatly appreciate Dr. Lee at San Tan Family Medicine, and whom gave me my referral to Simon Med. I can usually see the doc in a day or two if something comes out of the blue, and the girls at the office are super great. I have been seeing him 2 years. Dr. Lee is an intent listener, he will make initial assessment and if you can't be treated at the office, get you to a referral lightning fast. My referral's have been TOP NOTCH. Dr. Duane Heinrichs, Cardiologist at Tri-City. Dr. Newman, Dr. Leeds and Dr. Albert Amini, at AZ Premiere Surgeons. And Dr. Sharma over at ASUI. WOW talk about an Dream Team. I had to go in for an ultra sound after having knee replacement 10 days ago and in excruciating pain. I was called back for the ultra sound and after just a couple of minutes with this tech I found that she has a lot of empathy for those in pain. She worked with me on adjusting what I needed to do so she could get her results and I was in less pain at the same time. Her name is Billie Jean and I appreciate the kindness and gentleness that she showed me because I know from experience that when you treat one person that way it is usually something you do naturally with all of your patients. I would give 5 stars to the tech's. They are extremely nice and always ease my anxiety. The 1 star is the extreme mismanagement of booking appointments, misinformation, and receiving results. A year ago the first incident was for a procedure that I had to be off medicine for near 2 weeks, a medicine that keeps my heart stable and safe and prolonged discontinuation will hospitalize or kill me. I arrived for that appointment and paid and was told 30 minutes later that they scheduled me wrong and I would need to reschedule another 3 weeks out. Unbelievable. Fast forward, I need a brain MRI. I make an appointment online and they cancelled it the day-of, then called me the next day that I missed my appointment and need to reschedule. We played phone tag for several days, waiting over an hour several times, waiting for call backs, being kicked off the online system. I made the appointment for 2.5 weeks later. Two days before the appointment I get notified my insurance has denied it, confirmed cash price and expected to still go to the appointment. The day of the appointment they called to let me know it was cancelled because of the denial. I called off and on for 4 hours, finally spoke with someone who "fit me back in" (I could still see my assigned appt on the portal) and confirmed what the price was which was now $20 higher. 30 minutes later someone from the physical location called me surprised that I got the authorization, I didn't and told her the situation, she told me to come in immediately because no appointments for the rest of the day and confirmed the cash price being $20 higher (confirmed twice). I get there, pay the original cash price which was now $20 lower. The procedure went smooth, told 1-2 days for results. It's been 2 WEEKS and no results. Currently waiting on the phone for 30 minutes to speak with a human, kicked off the online chat. My insurance company has been trying to contact them for 2.5 weeks to get a quote if I had done the appeals process but no one picks up the phone promptly. I will no longer be using this company if a doctor suggests it. It causes unnecessary stress in an already stressful situation, each time I've been in there someone has had an issue or barking at the staff at the location about trying to book appointments. The company needs an overhaul in customer service. Update: waited on the phone for 45 minutes and found out they had NEVER even faxed my results to my doctor after waiting around for 2wks. Today I also received a bill with a different price then what I paid in full and was quoted for on the day of my appointment. More headaches to deal with. read more

This is not just I'm relation to this location but to all. Do not make an appointment online, the system does not work and you show up to no appointment. Staff says yes we know it's a problem (Higley location). If it's a know issue SimonMed should take it down until it functions correctly instead of wasting people's valuable time. Not only did it happen to me. 2 other people at that same location came in and had same issue. No appointment noted in system despite appointments verified, confirmed in email and reminder texts received. At this location I came in for a STAT ultrasound. The doctors office made the appointment. I was right there when they made it. When I arrived at this location I was told there was no appointment. I had been fasting with not even water. This is now the third time SimonMed has said there is an appointment just to arrive and find out it's now not showing in the system. I asked who I could talk to relay these repeated concerns but of course there is no one. I'm done trying to have anything scheduled by them. Show up for walk in which is the only way to get an X-ray. Was not told a wait time. Sat for over an hour the. When asked when was going to get seen was told that the same person who does xrays does ct scans so I was going to get pushed back even longer.
