I'm getting the Thermalift treatments with Amira. I've had 2 treatments and so far it's been an excellent experience. Amira is extremely professional, knowledgeable and informative regarding the treatments she provides. She's also very honest and recommends what is best for the client. She answers all questions thoroughly and responds to texts quickly. I have one more treatment left and, I'm so satisfied that I'm purchasing 6 more, including a facial. read more

She also has great products that she sells to supplement the facials. There's a lot of facials to chose from and she knows what's best for your skin. I loved loved loved the "slice of pie" facial!! It was so relaxing and made me feel like a million bucks I've had facials before in other spas, but this one has outdone them all! There were so many steps involved in the facial, it made the cost seem like nothing and actually made me feel like I wanted to pay more! Also, the service is impeccable, Amira makes you feel like her most valuable customer. Not to mention the amazing hand reflexology and massage that she does during the waiting time for the mask. Definitely would go again without a second thought! read more

I've thought about doing this review for a long time now and finally decided I should leave my honest feedback on this spa because my service I received was given with out my consent, so I will start at the very beginning I had never been to a day spa and had never received a facial but this place was recommended to me by someone I knew so I called the owner of summer down day spa just to get prices on her services because I'm a stay at home mom and didn't want to get any services that would be to expensive so she told me to come in and get a free consultation and that she would give me prices then. Well before my appointment I ask my husband to give me some cash, because I don't really carry cash on me and I don't have a bank card because like I said I'm a stay at home mom and my husband pays all the bills anyway I'm glad I did ask for the cash and I'm glad he gave me a little over a hundred dollars because while I was filling out my consultation paperwork she told me to go in the back room and put a towel on ( keep in mind I have never been to a spa) so I thought she was going to evaluate my skin but instead started prepping me for her services so yes at this point I went along with it and ended up having to pay around $100. And this was with my "first time costumer discount" which I didn't even know about until the end of my facial which, I wish I had known before because maybe I could have brought more money and got what I really wanted anyway she was really nice and down to earth so I just brushed off the negative parts of my experience and about a month later she was doing a special where you get a facial for half price I asked about it and she said she would try and fit me in and that she would get back to me, well a few days pass so I txt her again about the facial and she tells me that special has passed so yes I was a little upset but didn't let it get to me so I told her ok maybe next time and then she try's to get me in for her new special she had going on which was a chemical peel I told her I didn't want the peel because my face was very sensitive and that I had broke out in a rash when I had done my last facial so I thought a peel would be to aggressive and make my face break out but she kind of kept urging me to do it I continued to say no, then she says she will honor her last special for the facial so I agree and went in to see her. Later that evening she txt me to see how my face was doing after the 'peel' I txt her back saying I wasn't supposed to have gotten a peel that I thought I had gotten a facial and ever since then she had never responded back to me! So she tricked me into paying for a peel when I was told I was getting a facial! I was really looking forward to this place being my 'once a month getaway' place and I'm sad to see she had to lie to make money and to lie when it was my face n skin that could have broken out in a bad rash which she obviously had no concern for . I'm giving the one star only because she was nice but other then that I need an honest place that cares about the work they do and not about just the money part of it read more

I needed to get my make up done for an event and Amira was not only accommodating, but did an amazing job. I wanted a glammed out look, that's exactly what I got. I felt incredible! :-) read more

Let me just start this review out by saying that I have ALWAYS had problem skin ever since I can remember. During my teenage years, my acne wasn't so bad, but it was there. My late teens and early twenties were around the time my acne became really bad; it was everywhere, my face, shoulders, neck, chest and back. During that time I was trying everything I could to help heal my acne from proactiv to Neutrogena, and nothing had ever helped. I had given up on my skin and settled on a skin care regimen that was mediocre but was the best I could do. The worst thing about it is that every time I had even the smallest breakout, it would leave marks on my skin whether I picked at it or not as I suffer from hyperpigmentation. Now that I am in my late twenties, my breakouts seem to have calmed a bit (I may have one once a month) but the marks on my skin would remain. I finally decided to get a facial with Amira and it was the best decision ever! The first time I went to her I got a microderm with the pumpkin peel. As Amira performs her facial, she tells to you exactly what she's putting on your face and what it will do. She makes you feel so relaxed as she massages the products into your skin and you can feel them working once applied. She even massaged my arms as the peel did it's magic on my face! After everything was said and done, she spoke with me about the products that would help with my skin concerns. I ended up purchasing the face wash along with the vitamin c serum and a few other products and let me just say that these products are miracles in tiny bottles! My skin has improved in all aspects: skin tone, texture, acne, post acne marks, pores, etc. and hasn't looked this good since I was a teen! I am now able to leave my house without makeup and without the thought in my head that everyone is staring at my skin. If you have never had a facial before, go to the best person first! Amira is very knowledgeable and passionate about her work and gives you the best every time! Highly recommended! read more

I've had facials at a few places before and this place has helped my skin come farther than I expected in a short amount of time. The products used speak for themselves and I was able to feel the difference within minutes. I continue to use the same product line at home and my skin is transforming to what I want it to be! read more

Had an appointment today for microdermabrasion and a pumpkin peel. Have it say it was fantastic, Amira was very knowledgable and explained everything step by step. My skin feels wonderful and glows. My forehead was dry previously and makeup never sat quite right, but after the facial it looked so smooth! I will definitely be going back and advise anyone who is looking to have a facial to go here. She is very professional. read more

I was looking for a solution for my acne and very oily skin and decided to give this spa a try and I'm so glad I did! I've only had one treatment so far (a microdermabrasion with a pumpkin peel) and I already see in a difference in my skin. Amira is amazing. She is so knowledgeable, and helpful, and you can really tell she is passionate about what she does. She explained the purpose of each treatment to me and recommended products to me that I could also try out if I wanted to. I like that she is not pushy about trying to sell you anything and simply educates you about your options and the benefits to each. I did purchase a facial soap from her which I love so far. I've hardly had any new breakouts since using it. She offers package deals on treatments as well which is nice so I'll be back very soon ! read more

Amira is clearly an expert in her work, but she's also genuinely passionate about contributing to the well-being of her clients. I especially appreciated that she took the time to explain the whole process to me, and give me advice on how to care for my skin in my daily regimen at home. It was like having a personal appearance advisor, but at a rate that was sustainable to do on an ongoing basis. Highly recommend. read more

This place was amazing. She is very knowledge and truly cares for her clients. I am a biology major, and all the things she said about her products makes sense in terms of the biology of it all. I had a really good experience with my facial and all the products she used on my face. Will definitely be coming back and adjusting my budget to have these services rendered. (It can get pricy so be prepared) she will also work with you too! Recommend this place to anyone! Well managed and exceptional costumer service. read more

First, I have to start by saying that I am an extremely picky person. Especially when it comes to my skincare. I have very sensitive skin and I don't trust just anyone with it. I conducted some research a few months ago on local estheticians and spa locations. I called several in Riverside and spoke with many salon-owners about their services. I finally came across Simmer Down Day Spa and gave them a call. I had the pleasure of speaking with Amira, the business owner and esthetician. I was instantly captivated. Not only was she knowledgeable about her craft, but she was also very passionate and genuine. When I went in for my facial, she sat down with me and explained in detail what her facial entailed and what I should expect. She also answered all of my questions and really took her time. She then gave me a facial which included two cleanses, two microdermabrasions and of course, her famous pumpkin peel! I absolutely loved every minute of my treatment and have gone back once more since my first visit. My skin has never looked better. The texture that I had such a huge problem with and the appearance of my overly large pores have both improved tremendously. My previous acne scars have also faded a great deal. I can't wait for my next session where Amira will be going a lot deeper into the surface my skin and targeting some of the other concerns we have. And I honestly can't wait! I am now a committed client and supporter of Amira's talents. Thank you Amira for everything you've done for my skin and for making it look its absolute best! read more

This review is long overdue! I have been coming to Amira for about 6 months and I have already seen such an improvement in my skin. My breakouts, pore size and texture have improved overall!! Even breakouts that seemed to always be there no matter what I tried have gone away. Her high frequency facial along with a peel really worked wonders for my acne. I also invested in the products she has recommended and I have NO regrets. I got little bits over time (she was never pushy) and I absolutely Love them all. She's always so friendly, works with my schedule and budget and recommends only what she knows I will benefit from. Trust me, if you have problem skin and feel nervous about trying something new or different, as did I, you will not regret going to Amira. Oh and did I mention that I sometimes leave the house without makeup and I feel pretty ok with it. That would have NEVER happened before. read more
