I went to get my car serviced, and when it was time to pick up my car, I called four times, and the service person hung up the phone on me without even talking. Terrible. There's a reason why there are so many bad reviews. You would think that management would work on improving the situation, but clearly they haven't been effective. read more

Employees follow the Leader so that explains why there are so many negative Customer reviews. I had the misfortune of talking to Henry, the Sales Manager, regarding a vehicle pricing issue I experienced with a Simi Valley employee. He literally talked over me during our entire phone conversation (like he was having a conversation with himself). It was bazaar. It would really improve your business if Henry becomes a Manager that listens to the Customer. I will not consider buying a vehicle from this dealership. read more

Mark in the service department is so kind and knowledgeable. Coming here is worth the extra drive for the extra great service! Thank you for getting us in and out so quickly we really appreciate you! read more

Purchased a used Escape from this dealership and had a great experience. No BS, no mandatory add-on accessories like other dealerships. The salesman Sonny was great to work with. Thank you Simi Ford! read more

I drive a fleet vehicle that requires service to be done at Ford Dealers Service Departments. This means that an oil change at a standard dealer requires giving up a good part of your day. Some corporate idiot thinks wasting half a day of productivity is more cost efficient that the 10 to 20 minute places, but that's another issue. Fords answer to compete in the marketplace for the oil change / routine service business was to create the "Quick Lane" service. Not every dealership offers this service. The idea is to get you in and out and establish your loyalty to that dealership. Well, in this case they have failed. Today's oil change visit took 3 hours. When it was finally ready, the cashier indicated that they had already picked up the keys so the vehicle should be waiting for me. After 15 minutes of standing outside waiting for it, someone finally came up and asked about what I was waiting for. Once the explanation was delivered, she promptly went and got the car, then had the nerve to scapegoat the cashier for making me wait. read more

My husband and I had a really good experience here. Micah took very good care of us, and they even called us back 2 days after we bought our truck to change our interest rate from 7.5% to 2.9%, which was a very nice surprise. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because we asked for the out-the-door price, and the answer ended up being a bit unclear, but ended up within the range we were hoping. Overall, the staff is super friendly, and I would recommend them. read more

The only reason I am not giving them 1 star is because the sales lady we were dealing with Tatyana was great. We went there looking for a explorer for my wife. Everything was great until we started dealing with the "numbers guy" who was a jerk to say the least. He came to us and told us he could not get our payment and was $150 too high. He then proceeded to push a lease at us which was not a option. Then I explained that my bank would take us out 84 month at a decent rate and he blew me off and went right back to talking about a lease again! When I went home and ran the numbers and thet were much closer than his. I'm not sure he knew what he was doing. He was very full of himself and talked down to us. I will never return to Simi Ford again and will discourage all my family a friends from ever using them. I'm not sure how they sell any cars. read more

The reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because I now have a cracked in my windshield. I didn't before. It's not from the road, there is no pit. And nothing has struck my window. It started from bottom, where my plastic starts. I have to go back to the dealership to see if it's their "fault". I went home Friday night, then boom Sat morning a crack appeared.. then it just continued to crack further up. They fixed the other part of my car that was recalled. I just feel like I wish my windshield wouldn't of gotten damaged too. Hopefully it gets resolved. I go back in on Friday. I'll update my review then. Update... They owned up to the windshield and fixed it. So I'll update to 5 stars. read more

After hearing from the owner of Simi Valley Ford and sharing my experience personally, I am gratified that my concerns were heard. He has offered remuneration in terms of service to maintain my business. Mostly I am satisfied that he was concerned enough to read my review and reach out to me. I will definitely stay with Simi Valley Ford and give their service department another chance. Am hopeful that the communication lapse will not occur again, or as the owner stated, I will contact him personally. Unfortunately I can only give the service dept of this dealership one star. On Wed of last week I brought my 2016 Ford Edge for a scheduled warranty repair and recall of the defective airbag. My service advisor was very nice, and I agreed to leave it overnight when by the end of the day it hadn't been completed. No work completed Thursday either. It was Friday afternoon when I was told that authorization for a new steering wheel had been obtained (adaptive steering fault alert). Each day my advisor thanked me for my patience and told me he'd keep me updated. I now wonder when they actually looked at my car since it took 3 days to get a part authorized for replacement. I was told the needed parts would be in Sat am, and I should have my car back. Saturday came and went - no parts. I asked about a loaner car, as by now they'd had my car for 4 days and now were going into the next week. The advisor on duty (my advisor was off for the weekend) said she didn't know what arrangements had been made and couldn't really authorize that. In frustration I gave up and called Monday. My usual advisor said he'd keep me updated. I finally got my car pack after 4 pm, 6 days after dropping it off. In my 10 years with Toyota, one time I had to leave my car overnight and they immediately told me they'd get me a loaner. My experience with Ford Service at this dealership has been lacking. I have gone there because I had an excellent purchasing experience there and wanted to keep my car serviced there, even tho I live in Newbury Park, about 18 miles away. Seriously reconsidering where I take my car for service. read more

Simi Valley Ford sold me a car that had an oil leak and then proceeded to take over 1 month to get the oil leak fixed. Every time I spoke to someone at the service center I was told a completely different story regarding the issues with my car. I received a number of phone calls where I was listed off excuses regarding the professionalism of their own employees. I never imagined I could be treated so horribly by a company. I am incredibly disappointed. read more

Please avoid this dealership at all costs, as that is what you are going to get hit with. Background: I buy American cars and shop locally. Thus, Simi Valley Ford. From moment one our 2013 Escape has been a lemon. Multiple repairs and multiple recalls. You take the car into Simi Ford and...you are advised of scheduling delays and the car cannot even be diagnosed for 3-7 days. You take it to another mechanic and Deeana tells me "you are not a loyal customer to Simi Ford". On one trip you are advised that a diagnostic is a "low priority", and on your return trip you are informed that "you did not take immediate action" after the last trip. You get new tires and shocks at Mountain View Tires and Deeana informs you that "you're being serviced by ma and pa shops". Mountain View runs a diagnostic on a light which had come on (I thought it was the change oil reminder) and they not only charge nothing for the diagnostic but they recommend that the car be serviced at a Ford dealer because of parts issues. So much for awful "ma and pa" shops. Simi Ford informs us that there may be another problem other than the correctly diagnosed problem by Mountain View, and I am informed that there will be another $120 diagnostic charge to determine whether there even is a problem. I am told by Deeana that I must be looking for free repairs. Nope! I want to know why my car has had so many problems. I am told by Deeana that she cannot predict whether I will continue to have more problems. I inform her that history does tend to repeat itself. Simi Ford is a place that will never again squeeze me. Caveat emptor. Buyer beware. Tim read more

Eddy from services is fantastic. I took in my vehicle to get it fixed under warranty and the process was smooth, informational and quick. Eddy maintained contact with me throughout the repair process to inform me of updates. read more

The staff at Simi Valley went above and beyond to get us into the car we wanted. Our salesman Chris was the best! I had an appointment at 2pm for an oil change. I went to pick up my car at 4:45. I walked in stated I was there to pick up my car he couldn't find my paperwork. So he called the service Writer Keith. About 10 minutes later he came in walked back out. I asked the guy the cashier, again where is my car?He said Keith is bringing up the paperwork. Waited patiently again about another 15 minutes. Then I Walked out to the service bay asked Keith where is my car? He said, it's not ready yet, it won't be ready till about six. I said a little conversation would've been good a good idea to have letting me know where my car was! Instead of me just waiting and wondering! He gave me an excuse that they booked too many vehicles that day! So I am going back tomorrow morning on a Saturday to pick up my vehicle! Why on earth would a car need to be overnight to get an oil change! Poor communication skills at Simi Valley Ford! read more

If you want a low ball offer on your trade in and high prices on preowned cars, this is the place for you. They will place your trade in as the lowest category in KBB when you car is in great condition. Then they will lie about the pricing and condition of their competitors cars even when you have proof on the website. Also, they will try to sneak in 1k worth of fees. After that, the manger will laugh out loud at your offer to be rude. Their facility is a dump on top of it. We went to Ford Star Lincoln and got the the same car with more options for 3k less and a decent price on our trade in. Stay away! read more

This dealership has no communication, they take forever with the shuttle and repair.. I went to write this review and found out that last time I was there I was writing a review of 2 stars.. I don't know why I came back... I got a call that my car was ready and asked them to please send the shuttle for me they quoted me 15mins ... an hour later they call to tell me they are coming.. I guess it would be fine if I was at home but I am at the simi mall with a one year old and it's raining! Hopefully the service to my car is better then their shuttle service. read more

Very rude and unwilling to help if you have any questions other than trying to buy a car. I am an active duty military member trying to return a lease due to orders overseas and had simple questions and requests and the main "Mr. Ford" gave me attitude because I was at his desk asking him for help. Was unwilling to help me find the answers and told me to step aside while I find it myself and then come back due to "privacy". WORST FORD IVE EVER BEEN TO. Just wanted to thank everyone at Simi Valley Ford, Home of the Ford Man. I had my vehicle service done, just an oil filter & tire rotation. I had the pleasure of dealing with Mark. Mark took the time and listened to some other concerns that I had with the performance of the car. They completed a complete diagnostic check on my car. Mark suggested a couple other items to consider doing and I am glad I did them because I felt the difference as soon as I drove away. I also had a recall done that Mark found I was in need of (I had no idea) and did that while the car was there. They called me to say the car was ready for pick up and while doing my paperwork with a very pleasant cashier, the Service Manager Brian introduced himself to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I think my total bill was around $275 for everything, but the entire staff made me feel like I had just spent a million dollars with their kindness. Thank you again Mark,Brain, and Larry for a job well done ! read more

I bought my 2013 Ford F-150 here in 2012, this dealership has been very good at handling all of my needs. The service department is usually excellent, when there have been some issues they have been sure to resolve them quickly and fairly. I usually ask for mike or Carmen in the service department. Communication is excellent and I can only think of one instance over the last 8 years where I was not satisfied. The service manager got involved and the issue was resolved quickly. I have taken my truck in for every service here including oil changes, transmission flush, coolant flush, differential flush, and other minor repairs. I will absolutely be purchasing my next Ford truck here as I want to support local simi businesses. The shuttle is always timely and the driver is good company. read more

My wife and I were looking to buy a new car. We decided after test driving many different models, that the Ford Explorer was the best fit for our family. We have always felt it is good to support local business. I checked the reviews for Simi Valley Ford and although not as good as I would have expected, we decided to go check them out. We were met at the door by Blake Adams - a super friendly and very knowledgeable salesman. He proceeded to show us a few different Explorers and answered all of our question. Blake is not your typical car salesman. He is very respectful and extremely patient with his customers. Not once did he give us the run around or try to push us into a deal. He simple rolled with the flow and let the process unfold. He even came in to work on his day off to close the deal. When it came time to talk numbers Blake introduced us to Chris Cortez the sales manager. Chris is also a really nice guy and was more than happy to work the numbers and give us a few different buying and leasing options. He was always super polite and very professional in how he presented his offers. Again, like Blake, Chris was able to answer all of our questions and never made us feel like just another customer. He took the time to break down all the numbers and we never once felt pressured by Chris or Blake to sign. When it came time to sign all the papers and close the deal, Chris introduced us to LaShaun Williams, the finance manager. LaShaun was very efficient and explained everything to us. He never tried to pressure us and we felt very comfortable doing business with him. LaShaun was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. When we were done with the paperwork, my wife and I walked out of Simi Valley Ford with a brand new Ford Explorer and it felt awesome! The entire car buying experience at Simi Valley Ford was fantastic. We felt relaxed and comfortable the entire time we were there. We can't thank Blake, Chris, and LaShaun enough for a great experience. I can tell you that we will absolutely come back to Simi Valley Ford when it is time to replace my truck. Thanks guys for taking care of us! read more

I had a problem with the engine repair light going on and off randomly and the engine made a loud deep groaning sound on the freeway 3 times. I called and asked if I dropped it off in the morning if they could give me a shuttle to my job in Thousand Oaks. The man I talked to said they could pick my car up at my job around 8:00 AM and have it ready to bring back to me by 4:30 PM, which I had told him were the hours I worked. I said, "Great!". They got the car around 10:00 AM. They called me about 2:15 PM and told me they were not going to be able to diagnose it until the nest day. They also told me that even though I had bought an extended electrical warranty which was still in effect, it was going to cost me $150.00 for the diagnosis, and whatever parts might be necessary might not be covered by my warranty. Fortunately, I had a coworker who lives in Simi and offered to take my to the dealership to get my car. I made an appointment with a mechanic not connected to Ford. I will never buy another Ford or go near them again. In 2017, they sold me my brand new 2017 Fusion knowing that it was connected to a faulty network that would make my windows not be able to stay up every 2 weeks when they updated their network. That went on for a year, before they fixed their network. 2 years later I had a flat tire with only 12,000 miles on it. It had a huge whole in the side, which the police man who came by said it was obviously not a road hazard caused flat. Then the Ford tow service never responded to my call (also covered by warranty), so the dealership said I should call AAA. That was a $60.00 bill, which I gave a copy to the Thousand Oaks dealership, who fixed my tire. They also didn't have a shuttle that day because it was Sunday and would not give me a ride home. I gave them a copy of my Lyft receipt. They would not honor my tire warranty, or any other warranty. That tire replacement cost me nearly $200.00. Be warned. Stay as far away from the Ford company as you can! read more

After two unpleasant visits, I urge you to take your business to another Ford dealer. Twice, I came in for The Works (oil change, rotation, etc.); twice, they tried to scam me. Please note that they do not accept the Owner Rewards Program, they will put you through the ringer if you try to use your Ford Extended Warranty for service performed, they fail to top off all of your fluids, and they have terrible attitudes about the entire process. The first oil change, they told me my lug nuts were swollen and I would need to pay more than $160 to replace them. I took my car to two other dealers who said the lug nuts were fine. The second time, they told me the funnel that goes to my windshield wiper fluid basin was disconnected--not broken, not in need of replacement--and that I'd need to schedule another appointment to fix it, for which I would need to pay upwards of $250 not for any parts, just for labor. This took me ten seconds to reconnect myself. When you tell them you spent $1500 to buy the extended warranty, they say "Oh, you know, we're really busy right now and it's a hassle to put a warranty in, so we don't really honor that program." (The waiting room was empty and I made an appointment.) They're a Ford dealership, they don't have a choice other than to honor Ford's warranty. If you can't go to another Ford dealership, go to Mini of Camarillo where they value customer service. read more

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER. After their oil change & 120 point inspection my engine seized four days later. They twice misdiagnosed why it seized, charged me for a wrong diagnosis, quoted me $3,500 in an GUESStimate to repair it. Told me to order and pay for parts that were not broken! An honorable mechanic did the repairs for under $3,000. He showed the completely stripped oil drain bolt that they left in which caused my engine to seize. At no point did they assume any responsibility or do anything right. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Well I just want to know what happened with customer service. I made an appointment for service and was told I would get a ride home. Well that really was not the case. I did get a ride only after being told that I live in an area they do not service. wish the adviser who made the appoint would have told me that. The drive was pleasant and reckless it was a white knuckle ride home. I could live with that after all I did make it home safe. The service people do not know what they are doing. the have no clue how to service a truck. I was told by Carmen that whoever changed my breaks did not surface the rotors. Well where she got that information is beyond me. The truck a 2013 with 26000 miles has never had a break job. I bought the truck a couple of weeks ago and the measurements have not changed from the selling dealers inspection. When she heard this it was another reason. Anything not to cover the issue by warranty. Really what happened to customer service? what happened to making sure that the proper job was done. I will never go back. Avoid at all costs. read more

This is my second review for Simi Ford. My first was far worse than this one. The maintenance on my car took 7 hours. It involved a multi-point inspection, tires, oil, and cabin air filter. After those 7 hours, I was given the paperwork. I reviewed it and noticed the engine air filter was replaced instead of the cabin filter. I had checked the maintenance schedule prior to pixking up my car and knew the cabin filter needed to be replaced. I asked about the confusion and the service attendant addressed it quickly. My cabin filter was changed and the new engine filter was left in the car. This quick correction got it an additional star. Having a plug-in, I continue to ask that while the car is waiting to be serviced or picked up, that it be plugged in. The feature is touted during the sales pitch, the plug is offered at any time, but the service dept never uses it. It didn't happen this time and it didn't happen last time. Given the 7 hr window, it should have been plugged in. read more

We brought our 2002 e350 passenger van and aside from paying an overpriced service on abs repair and replacement, they weren't able to fix the electrical issue that we have reported. It was the main reason why we brought it to the dealership and they just gave up! They even messed up with our electrical wiring, broke some cover that we had to fix ourselves. We would like to buy and support made in America products and services but now having second thoughts. I know our future purchase won't make a huge dent on their sales and service statistics but word of mouth goes a long way. Not going back to this dealership ever! read more

I have two Ford vehicles and have had them serviced here. One had an idling problem and the Service tech came to me after diagnostics were performed with a recommendation of a new throttle body to the tune of $500+. I said no and Googled my cars symptoms and found some clues. I spent $30 on a Throttle Position Sensor at Pep Boys and bought a torx screw driver, 15 minutes later my car ran great. That was 5 years ago. My other Ford car's engine was shutting off when driving up hill and on steep turns. I took my car there after Googling symptoms and discovering that there was a limited fuel pump recall on my vehicle with a 10 year expiration that was coming to an end. They agreed it was a fuel pump but didn't believe the recall until I showed them. Then they did honor it. If you're getting oil changes I guess they're good, but anything more complicated do your homework. read more

Service appointments are not really appointment times to service your vehicle. I was informed that appointments are made just to have service attendant write your service request & then collect your car. Then your service request goes into a "que" (Service pool) for the mechanic to collect work order & works on your car when they get a chance. No wonder my last 3 appointments I was told that they would need the car for the day. A customer can't schedule to do something for the day since customer needs to be available for when a call is made informing us that the car is ready. Not a service appointment as I know it. My last appointment-that I scheduled I was requested to pay for parts before scheduling a service appointment. Wow, this is not service. I will drive to Galpin for my next service need. Hope this shows that I really attempted to keep my service needs in town but Simi Valley Ford really needs to be aware that good customer service is more than saying that they value you as a customer. More than just words. read more

If reviewer #1 thinks he had a lousy day at Simi Valley Ford, he should have gone w us. We live 75 miles away in Huntington Beach After going round and round on the phone for a week, we took Amtrak to SV, and the salesman picked us up. The car looked great. And this was an expensive car! And we brought cash! Then the fun started. No manual-and they are not easy to get. $100 No CD for the Nav system. $198 No pin # for the bluetooth And only 1 set of keys $260 per key The car wasn't satellite ready as advertised. And the salesman really knew nothing about the car. He brought out the asst sales mgr who starts promising things on paper and tells me it's all legal. At that point I played the rarely used, "WTF, I'm an attorney" card. I told Mr asst mgr we needed to get back to the station to catch a train home as these clowns just didn't have their Sheite together-and he wouldn't shut up hoping we'd miss the train and make the deal.. Screw him-we told the salesman Step On It!-and we got to the station with 7 mins to spare, and immediately ordered a drink on the train. Cost-$160 in trains and taxis, and 8 hours of my life I'll never get back. A visit to used car hell. read more

The sales manager Steve Feld is horrible!! I asked him to create a letter for my lender showing that Simi Valley Ford purchased my car from me. He said he would get to it by the end of the day and email it to me. He never did it. I had to go back to the dealership and ask him to do it again. He gave me the same excuse as to why it wasn't done yet. I called my lender to see if there was a way around this letter because Steve was not going to do it. After a few minutes I approached Steve to thank him for his time and tell him I would not need him to create this letter. He proceed to tell me that he did not need to create a letter in the first place, that I had all of the information in the first place. I was trying to tell him that the lender is requesting specific information but he refused to listen. He kept saying, "you have the papers from the sale, you don't need anything else."
