I also asked if the online price was the same price I would pay if I purchased it at the dealership. The employee I spoke with confirmed that the online price was the same as the in-store price, so I decided to make the trip and purchase the coolant. When I arrived, I was greeted by Adrian in the Parts Department. I explained that I had called a few days earlier and was there to purchase the Pink Coolant. However, when Adrian gave me the price, I noticed it was higher than the online price. He explained that the online price and in-store price were different. I told him that the employee I had spoken with previously had specifically confirmed that I would pay the same price at the dealership. Although the previous employee had given me incorrect information, Adrian handled the situation in a way that really stood out to me. He could have simply charged me the regular in-store price, but instead, he took the initiative to honor the online price as a one-time courtesy. I was very grateful for what he did. It wasn't necessarily about the price difference--it was the fact that Adrian took ownership of the situation and made sure I left feeling valued as a customer. His professionalism, understanding, and willingness to make things right turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a very positive one. Overall, my personal experience with the Toyota of Redlands Parts Department was great, and Adrian's customer service made a lasting impression on me. I have always…read morehad pleasant experiences here in the past, which is why today's experience was especially disappointing. I brought my car in because I had been hearing a noise coming from the driver's side for several weeks. After waiting a little over two hours, I was contacted by Steve, the service manager, and was told that there was nothing wrong with my car. I explained that I disagreed with the diagnosis because I could clearly hear the noise while driving. I was told that they have the best technicians and that if the technician didn't hear anything, then there was nothing wrong. I was essentially told that if I continued to hear the noise in a few more weeks, I could bring the car back and wait again to have it checked. As I was walking out, I decided to stop and speak with someone else because I knew something was wrong with my car. Thankfully, I spoke with Alex, who was extremely kind and helpful. He brought over Jimmy from the body shop, and these two gentlemen immediately took my concern seriously. They took me outside and quickly found a large nail in my tire. I was shocked because this was something that should have been identified during a thorough inspection, especially after I specifically brought the vehicle in because of a noise coming from that area. Jimmy then got in the car with me and took it for a drive. Within 10-20 seconds, he heard the exact noise I had been complaining about for the past three weeks. This was despite being told that the technician, Robbie, had completed a full diagnosis and found nothing wrong. I am very confused and concerned by this experience. If Alex and Jimmy had not taken the time to listen to me and actually investigate the issue, I would have left believing there was nothing wrong with my car -- when there was clearly an issue that was noticeable almost immediately. I am extremely grateful to Alex and Jimmy for their professionalism, kindness, and willingness to listen to me when I knew something wasn't right. They are the reason this issue was finally identified. However, I am very disappointed with the way my concerns were handled by Steve and with the diagnosis performed by Robbie. This experience has left me questioning whether my vehicle was actually inspected as thoroughly as I was told it was. I have trusted Toyota of Redlands for my vehicle, and after today, I hope management takes this situation seriously and looks into what happened. Customers should feel confident that when they bring their vehicle in with a specific concern, that concern is genuinely investigated -- especially when the customer is telling you they can hear and feel something is wrong.

He knows exactly what he's talking about, and he's friendlier and more helpful too than his major competitors at G&G are. Smog Stop has a much more professional vibe and a much nicer waiting room too than G&G does. They have plenty of chairs and even a TV, and it's much neater and roomier than G&G's waiting room, so do yourself a favor and make Smog Spot your go-to spot in Redlands for smogging your vehicle. My car didn't pass the first time, but Raken kept reassuring me that there were no visible trouble codes which would indicate a problem or a mechanical failure. He advised me to just keep driving the vehicle and promised that it would eventually pass, which it did. I was doubtful, but he was totally right all along. I finally figured out that the key to passing for me was to get my car up to 70 mph and then immediately decelerate to 20, which of course you can't do on the freeway, but driving the back way into Highland over and over again finally got the job done. I must've gone back to Smog Stop at least five or six times to have Raken rescan my car's computer monitors to see if all my monitors had cleared, but he never complained, although I'm sure he got pretty sick of seeing me coming back so often for a rescan to assess my progress! It took me three weeks to get my car's monitors to finally clear, but Raken was really unbelievably patient with me. I just wish that I had asked him to scan my system prior to testing my vehicle the first time, because I had to pay $50 for the first failed test and then I had to pay an additional $50 because he had to test my car a second time too after all of my car's system monitors had finally cleared, but he did give me a $12 discount on the retest. They also do other types of repair work at this shop, including smog repairs, but Raken was always too busy and too focused to specify exactly what other types of mechanical jobs they can tackle, although I did ask him twice. The good news is that they do seem to be totally focused on smog checks and not on finding additional mechanical issues that they can potentially charge you for. Just be aware that you will have to pay $38 for a second test if your car doesn't pass the first time. The only good thing I can say about Smog Stop's competitor G&G is that they don't charge you for a second test if your car fails the first time. So if you have recently replaced or recharged your battery, as I did, and if you're not entirely certain about the readiness level of your car's system monitors, please be sure to ask Raken to check your system for readiness BEFORE you pay $50 for a test that will in all likelihood fail.
