This restaurant probably has the best service I've ever had. My cousin and I came at 7:30 during Ramadan but they had changed their closing time from 9pm to 7pm but we didn't know. After trying unsuccessfully to pull on the door knobs and walking away when we realized it was closed, the owner came out and insisted that we could still come in because the kitchen was still open. When we sat down, he personally told us what the best sellers were and what he recommended. During our entire dinner he kept making sure we were happy! When we went to pay, I let him know I wanted to do a yelp review to get a percentage off and he said they usually do 10% off or $5 off, whoever was higher! Again, super sweet! The food was decent. I got the chicken tikka masala and it was a bit too tomato-y for my taste but it was still ok! The nan was very soft! My cousin got the fish and he said it was good! We also got the beef samosas but I want to try the vegetable next time because I didn't realize the beef one didn't have potatoes in it The restaurant wasn't that big but it was very homey. Came to know of this joint when we went for a family dinner at Thai Pan... I just happened to look at Yelp while we were at Thai Pan and this restaurant came up... Was curious since it talked about Pakistani food, have always wanted to try Paki food ever since I had it at Lahori Karahi in Hounslow, UK many years ago... Checked out the place and picked their menu card to come back for a meal... Stopped by today while driving by the restaurant around lunch time and picked up a Chicken Dum Biriyani... The flavor was nice, it was filling up the car nicely!! We loved the flavor in the rice, it was spiced adequately and had enough chicken pieces... The cucumber raita was very nice too... I am giving a rating of 3 since we had a hair in the food, that was a bummer indeed for the quality of food served... My husband was craving naan and palak paneer, so my in-laws suggested this place after we got into town. We were going to order online, but decided to go and look at the menu in person. I already knew exactly what I wanted from looking at the menu online; the vegetarian thali! My father-in-law was raving about the paneer karahi, so my husband ordered that. We also got a small order of vegetable samosas. I love the interior of this place; it's bright, trendy, and pleasing to the eye! I'm glad I actually stepped foot into the restaurant even though we ordered to-go. It's definitely a place I would come back and sit down to eat. I had the chicken biryani lunch deal that came with two samosas and a drink. Had I known the chicken was bone-in, I would have felt apprehensive about it but I'm glad I didn't because it was delicious. The dish is a huge portion that was very moist and flavorful. Not normally a fan of Indian/Pakistani cuisines but my 8 month pregnant wife was craving chicken tikka masala. The cozy, hole in the wall place did not reek of curry. We were greeted pleasantly and guided to our choices by who I presume was the chef/manager/owner? The food was phenomenal, not only was my wife satiated but my trout was the best fried fish that I had tasted since my favorite restaurant for it closed. I literally cried a few tears of joy, I've tried several places before this to make my wife happy that didn't work. It's the next day and my wife and I agree we are still thinking about the food. However-It was very disappointing-the tikka tasted like just tomato sauce and vegetables that both came from a can, no flavor at all. The daal was decent but I had to add a lot of salt to even make it edible. The garlic naan was good and so was the rice. Lastly the samosas were terrible. The other vegetable samosas I've had were filled with vegetables and potatoes and spices. This was just carrots and peas and no flavor. I spent almost $50 for this food. Based on the photos and reviews, this looked like a great spot to check out. The man who took our order was very helpful and nice. For that amount, portion size should be much greater, but when it arrived it was basically two plates of food (feeds two, maybe three if you stretch portions). I can't think of anything bad to say. I wish they left the cucumber out of the water, but that's just a personal preference. You can ask for them to make your food spicier, which I really appreciate. I had the chicken combo plate, and loved everything on it. This was my husbands first time having Indian cuisine. He loved the beef Samosas, so did I. If you come you have to try them. I've had this restaurant's food many times over the years as both catering and to-go picked up by friends, but I've never actually gone inside. The interior is quite trendy and fresh, especially in contrast with its immediate area. Unlike the expectation however, the food still didn't match the observations. The menu is fairly diverse south Asian cuisine and has certain specialties, including a beef meal and chicken 3 item combo meal. My brother had the beef meal, and I can't speak in depth for him, but he didn't finish his meal, as he didn't enjoy it. The Chicken meal I had was served with very plain rice, and very little flavor. It seemed as though the price of the meal was justified through sheer quantity over any form of quality. The meal also came with a simple pudding which was a good palette cleanser. It took me approximately a month to write up this review as I nearly forgot the entire experience. After putting it out there, hands down this is the best Indian cuisine place Ive ever been to. I started eating here because it is close to my home. When you walk in, you are greeted with the owner of the restaurant. The menu is formed in a way that anyone can have the best experience without having any knowledge of the food. I had the Chicken sampler and Chicken Tikka masala. BEST BEST BEST! Chicken is so tender and price is awesome for the serving size. Their garlic naan is awesome too. As an Indian, I have fairly high standards for what I expect from a so-called Indian restaurant - which in truth is really more Pakistani. My girlfriend and I came in for lunch on a Friday and ordered a chicken tikka masala lunch combo and some veggie samosas to share. The chicken curry and naan were okay but not great. Unfortunately, they were still the best part of the meal. The rice was odd tasting and very oily. And the samosas were just awful. Most proper samosas have a lot of flavor and are stuffed with potato with a bit of peas. These, however, were stuffed with cabbage, peas, and carrots and had a pastry-type wrapper around them that was thin, oily and flaky. I suspect these came out of a box frozen and were dropped in a fryer. Although the food didn't meet our expectations, the staff was very friendly - especially the man who I presume is the manager/owner. Also, some other items like the kebabs looked much better than what we ordered so that may be worth a shot if you're thinking of trying this place out. read more

Goes perfectly with the naan bread when you dip it in the sauce. I love and live for spicy food, so one thing that I'd want more of is for it to be a little spicier. My husband ordered the half roasted chicken platter and it was huge. I'd recommend sharing this plate with a friend or significant other because the portion size is really a lot. I have downgraded my rating from an earlier 4 star to 3 stars and here I am being generous. I went for a takeaway order of Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan and Goat Dum Biriyani and man was it disappointing! Chicken Tikka Masala as the name suggests is Chicken Tikka's cooked in a thick gravy. A Tikka is a boneless piece of Chicken marinated in spices and cooked in a clay oven. It is then simmered in a thick creamy gravy. What was served was pieces of boneless chicken cooked in a tomato gravy which was quite thin. The gravy had flavors but it was not a traditional Tikka Masala gravy and neither were the pieces of chicken cooked in clay oven. The Goat Dum Biriyani was an even bigger disappointment. Biriyani is a rice dish where the rice is par-cooked (about 75%-80%) and the meat (goat or chicken or lamb or beef) is cooked separately in an aromatic gravy. The rice and the meat are then layered and cooked together under pressure (dum) till the rice is fully cooked and absorbs the flavor of the gravy. What we got was rice that had a lot of flavor with boiled pieces of goat that had no flavor at all. The rice tasted best alone and eating the piece of meat just ruined the taste. Naans, on the other hand, was excellent. The Naan and the service pushed the rating to 3 otherwise I would have rated this experience at 2. read more

When i heard they had come to Allen, this was a must to go as they used to be great in Richardson. Walking the interior and the way the restaurant was setup was amazing, greeted by the owner himself. He suggested we try the biryani and korma combo special , we ordered a daal tadka and Sajji Lamb. The order was out in 10-15 minutes and the presentation looked great. Daal - it was alright and did not feel as if a good tadka had been given to it. Sajji - Meat was tender flavour was good. Combo - Biryani and chicken korma was Ok. Naan - perfect. Total -$39. Overall this restaurant is for non desi community than it is for the desi community. Reason being the flavors are bland , being a desi restaurant i would have preferred a more kick to it but then again when i walked out it said Indian and Pakistani cuisine so he is going for the hybrid community rather than the straight up desi folks who like a well cooked meal with a kick in the spices. read more

Food presentation was great, and though the spot was kind of empty except for a group of ladies related to the owners who were having a girl lunch out the food was spot on. We ordered the goat combo, which my boyfriend loved as he loves goat curry, and I ordered the chicken tikka masala. The portions were huge for the the price we paid. We got to try a bit of their fish, which we were told is the best seller. I can't recall the name, but it was amazing.
