We just cannot say enough about our fabulous experience hiring and working with Brad Tucker, from Mark Welch Entertainment! They are absolute pro's at what they do and Brad was not only an exceptional DJ, he is an exceptional host that anyone would be lucky to have at their event. Brad is remarkably attentive and aware, and he has a natural ability to predict when he is needed. He knows how to remain in the background at a party, but..at the same time, the minute you need him, he's right there! Brad is a fantastic DJ!! His only interest is to create an uplifting environment for all involved. And, he sure knows how to get the party started on the dance floor! Brad's good nature, super-fun attitude, professional abilities, and his wonderful personality are something that you truly don't see very often in customer service industries. Brad is patient and flexible, and his only interest is making sure that the host and their guests have the ultimate, elevated experience that is memorable to all party-goers. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring so much about our event, Brad, you certainly did make it memorable for everyone. See you on the next one! read more

Brad was extremely professional and very attentive to our needs and made sure we were well taken care of. He got the crowd going and people are still talking about how great he was to this day. Everyone loved his energy and how much effort and time he really gave to making our day so special. Brad was extremely thorough and helpful throughout the planning process, from day one until the end of the event. He had never been to our venue before so he even came to a walk through with us to get a lay of the land. Thank you Brad, our day wouldn't have been as great as it was without you! read more

We hired Mark to be not only our DJ, but our coordinator as well for our wedding. If I could leave 100 out of 100 stars, I would. I don't have one negative thing to say! We were starting to get a little nervous about planning the day, so we scheduled a meeting with Mark to go over the entire wedding planning form. The meeting took over an hour (because we had so many questions) and by the end, all our questions were answered and we felt so relieved. Mark went above and beyond. For example, anytime my hand didn't have a drink in it, he would ask me what I wanted and go grab me one. Little things like that made our day even more special. Thank you Mark!! - Alex and Jenny read more

Could not have been happier with the level of service they provided for my daughter's wedding, from start to finish of the process. Mark was punctual, flexible, and accommodating, as well as extremely helpful-he went the extra mile in every way. We are delighted to highly recommend this company and their services. Thank you MWE for such a great experience!! read more

I am a professional wedding photographer. I work with a LOT of DJ's. To put it simply, very few can hold a candle to Mark. If you want a true professional, fun, funny, kind and will really run the show smoothly? Mark is the guy. If I were to do it all over again for my own wedding, Mark would be who I would hire. So do yourself a favor and hire him! read more

Mark was the DJ for our wedding reception. He was fantastic and totally lived up to my expectations. (See my previous review.) He kept things moving smoothly with regards to entrances, our first dance and toasts. He checked in with us just the right amount of times (but not too much). He is so upbeat and personable. My honey and I and our guests all had a really fun time and some of the credit must go to Mark's professionalism and positive energy. The dance floor was hopping the entire night - up until the very last song. We had checked off quite a few song choices and Mark was able to read our guests well and played the music that got people shaking their groove thing. He was very receptive to requests and respectful of our "no play" list. (Thank goodness!) I still only have nice things to say about Mark and his business! Give him a call if you are looking for a DJ! read more

We hired MWE for our wedding on 11/19 and we couldn't be more happy with our decision. Our DJ was Brad and he was FANTASTIC to work with! Throughout the process he answered all of our questions and played every single song we requested for him. He even played some Persian songs for my family and it meant so much to my mom. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you hire them as I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Brad thanks again for creating such incredible memories for Kelsey and I. You're the best! read more

Mark Welch was our DJ for our wedding at Wildwood Acres. He is incredible and I highly recommend his services. Not only did he DJ, but he also served as a day of coordinator and kept the event running smoothly. Mark has a great website with song recommendations and lists to help you customize your music. Also when we met in person with him, he helped us think through many of the little details. Thanks Mark for helping our big day go so smoothly! read more

Wow...all I can say is Mark is amazing! He is so friendly and really makes sure that he is doing everything he can to make your special day the best day ever. If we ever emailed him with a question, he would respond promptly with a phone call and was able to address any and ever concern or question that we had. We found him through our venue: Wildwood Acres Resort and I highly recommend going with him as he knows the ins and outs of that venue! He acted as our Day of Coordinator and DJ, both he did a wonderful job with. He was a huge part in making sure our wedding ran smoothly. We started picking out music months in advance and Mark's online forms made that very easy to do. When we got closer to the big day, we met and talked about the flow of the day. Mark was at our rehearsal to assist and tell us how things would go and the day of he was such a big presence from the moment we arrived at the venue to the very end. He always made my husband and I feel important, he was very helpful and very communicative. Our family and friends had nothing but great things to say about him. So happy we went with him! read more

Mark was the MC and DJ at my wedding last month. He is a gem. Prior to the wedding, he have us an extensive list of songs to choose from, as well as suggestions for different segments of the wedding. He printed up a schedule of activities and sent it to the caterer, photographer and videographer. He provided music for both ceremony and reception. At the ceremony we had planned on using one of his mikes, but there were two rabbis, and in no time he had two clip-on wireless mikes for them plus the handheld mike for us. Wow! He even worked with the videographer to so he had clean audio going directly to his camera. Mark played soft jazz during cocktails and the meal, and the dance tunes we had requested. We had even sent him an mp3 via email of a special song not commercially available. He kept the party moving smoothly and is fun and well organized. I recommend him highly for your event. read more

We are so happy that Mark was our wedding DJ a couple weeks ago! He worked tirelessly to make sure our day ran smoothly and everyone had a good time. We had the chance to meet Mark in person as well as a couple of phone calls to go over everything before the day, and he was so much fun to work with! Mark always had a smile and made our wedding such a happy day! We highly recommend Mark and would happily work with him again if given the chance! read more

We hired Mark Welch for our wedding reception (6/25/22), and we couldn't have been happier.  Mark is professional, organized, and a pleasure to work with.   From the pre-wedding planning to the reception itself, he exuded a great attitude and good will.  He worked with us to organize the playlist, schedule of the reception, and any special request that we had.  Not only did he perform his job expertly which included emceeing the entire reception he kept the festivities moving, while checking in with us (making sure we were hydrated) during the entirety.  We couldn't have asked for a better DJ, emcee, and all around good fellow.   Do yourself a favor and hire this guy. read more

Mark Welch was our Dj and auctioneer at our elementary schools' annual fundraising auction this past Spring. I'm late writing this-- but have meant to since then! Here is my 'letter' to him! Mark, I remember you from a previous auction that I had attended, and was glad to be able to book you for our "Awesome 80's Night" --my first time running our schools' largest fund raising event. You were so easy to work with, from our initial meeting to go over details, to the emails for song titles and agenda, to the actual DJing of the even that night. You came in, did you r whole own set up, didnt need a thing from us or from the venue. You made it so easy--it was one less thing that I needed to worry about while hosting my first big school event... and for that, a big THANK YOU!! If you ever have someone looking for a referral, please feel free to give them my information. And please know that we will certainly consider using your services again for future school events! Thank you Mark Welch!! read more

Mark, is AMAZING!!! I mean amazing. When picking a DJ I really think of it as picking an organizer, manager, emcee, and time magician. It is SO MUCH MORE then music. So much more and Mark delivered. Heck, he took charge of stuff we didn't even know we needed help with. First let me say, he gave us peace of mind. So many vendors you work with need time lines, answers, info and Mark helped us to create the schedule and flow of the day. He then made a schedule and communicated with other vendors. I mean he knew answers before I had the questions. Once we met with him I felt a huge burden lifted from my shoulders. He has done so many weddings, he know whats next way before you do. That being said, with his online music election and questions it allows him the tools to tailor your wedding so it truly represents you. Our music ran from Beatles, to punk, to the Saints Go Marching In...and he got in all in seamlessly. We had opted to have a "song request" in our RSVP. I wasn't sure if this would be a burden to Mark but it actually worked great. He gives you access to an online profile where you answer questions and select your music. Within that there is a notes section. I simply added the note for each person and their request. What was great was then he mentioned the person's name and that just made everyone feel like part of the festivities plus made them get up and dance when there song was on. He also managed the day for us and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Behind the scenes he organized the time and cheerily asked us if it was fine. I loved it! We just felt like we could decide in the moment, for example what time we really wanted to leave, dance, etc. He is the #1 choice! read more

MWE made our wedding SO FUN! Mark kept the energy going and kept everyone on track and things moving! He learned so many names and was calling them out (in a good way!) on the dance floor- he really learned the energy of the group and kept it going! Mark took our requests before the wedding, and also took requests on the fly. He was easy-going, tons of fun, and everyone, including the guests, loved him! Mark also met with us prior to the wedding to make sure everything was planned out, and he coordinated with our day-of planner, venue, and other vendors. read more

This is not the first time I've attended a wedding or event that has been DJ'd or emceed by this company. Mark has an amazing crew I have to say each event I've attended has been a smashing success and a lot has to do with the Emcee/DJ!! Yesterday's event at Mira Vista Country Club and not only did Brad the DJ look stunning in his tuxedo, he was gracious, friendly and became the 85 year old birthday gals favorite muse! He danced with her and he also walked around the room with a wireless mic for toasts, cheer and great fun! A class act indeed! His music selections during guest arrival, dinner and even the games were spot on! Highly recommend this company you will be delighted with the high level of customer experience! read more

Summary: Mark is organized, prepared, experienced, and charismatic -- exactly the type of DJ you are looking for at your wedding reception. He was my favorite wedding vendor hands down. Mark was referred by my wedding venue Hiddenbrooke Golf in Vallejo. After checking out some basic information on his website, I decided to make an appointment. He was very flexible about time and location, and we ended up meeting him at a Starbucks. He was very friendly and fun, not pushy, and had information on paper for us. We didn't book him right away, but confirmed the following week. It was a whole year before our wedding, and my biggest concern was that my vendors would forget about us (or go out of business!). But Mark was excellent about keeping in touch with me. Several months before the wedding, he sent reminders about the reception schedule, music list, and final meeting. When we met him for a last time about a month before the big day, I noticed that he had brought a file of all our correspondences. He was a lifesaver in terms of the reception schedule, because we really didn't know if our proposed schedule would work or if it would be packed and interesting for our guests. He reviewed our proposal and made helpful suggestions. On the big day, Mark arrived hours early to set up the music equipment. Oh ya, he also threw in some nice lighting for free. He dressed very nicely in a tux (exactly like the picture) and sounded very professional with a big voice. He helped keep us on schedule, raise the energy level, and make things fun. He was also very flexible, playing a couple Chinese songs we had emailed him ahead of time, as well as knowing when to fade out an unpopular song for, say, the electric slide (I have pictures of guests with their hands over their heads and having a great time). He just did everything right! Pros: - Sounds just like an announcer/DJ should sound -- big voice, entertaining, fun. Says the right things at the right times. - Very experienced with wedding schedules. He knew how much time should be spent on each event, which was helpful because we didn't have a wedding planner. - Very experienced with music selection. We picked some favorites, and a whole bunch of exclusions (sorry, no Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, or Celine Dion at our wedding), but he filled in the rest. - Great sound equipment. We had soft, background music for dinner, and clear, lively music for dancing. Also 2 mics for speeches. Cons: - Umm, he doesn't speak Chinese? But he did play Chinese music for us. - Umm, I had to pay him? But definitely worth the price. To Mark: We fed you Surf & Turf, remember? Thanks for great memories. Love, Jeannette & Johnny. read more

We hired Mark for our wedding at Wildwood Acres Resort. He did a really great job, listened to all of our needs, and has a great attitude. We are super picky about music, and he played exactly what we asked him to, and was super professional. What we didn't realize is that he is so much more than a DJ, and helped coordinate the wedding and the rehearsal. Thanks Mark! read more

We met Mark at the Fall Martinez Bridal Fair 2010. At the fair he was very professional and charismatic that my fiance and I pretty much decided that we would ask him to DJ our wedding. His prices were very reasonable and he wasn't pushy to get us to sign up with him. Once we signed the contract he would periodically email us was great at reminding me about selecting the music, turning in the timeline..etc. He had great suggestions about songs that would start everyone dancing. He asked me about the age crowd and we decided to mix in some 60s music that would get the older generation dancing as well. Everyone danced and had a lot of fun and said our DJ had done a wonderful job :) Although this is not advisable...! He worked with my ever changing timeline (mainly because people who were going to do speaches backed out last minute). He was very patient and gave me great opinions and suggestions. One thing we did that everyone loved that Mark had suggested was that he gave a short bio on each bridal party member as they entered the reception. Our guests then understood who everyone was (best friends, family memebers...etc) and why they were part of our bridal party. Mark is funny, punctual, professional, and just overall friendly that you won't have to worry about him on your wedding day. He makes the event run smoothly :) read more

Mark was our DJ for our wedding 6-24-12. Mark was FABULOUS! He kept everything going at a great pace - not too fast to feel rushed, and not too slow so that there were lulls. He played a great variety of music and got everyone dancing - including my 91 year old grandpa! About a month ago, I had my one bridal freak out/ panic that I wasn't going to get everything do for the wedding and all it took to calm me down was about 5 minutes on the phone with Mark. He is fabulous. His experience and know how makes him the perfect person to have on your side for your wedding. Go with Mark and you wont be sorry! read more

Mark Welch DJ our wedding, and he was fantastic! Mark, was very professional. He had thought of every contingency, and asked a lot of questions that helped us think through the particulars of the ceremony. After the initial meeting, Mark called about two weeks before the wedding. Mark asked a few more questions about the ceremony, had a quick chat about music, and we were good to go! Marks attention to detail was superlative. The logistics worked perfectly - setup went without a hitch, he knew exactly who was giving a toast and when, she even set up a microphone and a chair so one of my bridesmaids could play a song on her guitar. To top it off, she had over 5 hours of amazing music that kept the majority of guests dancing all night long! Our families and friends were mingling, everyone had a great time, and my husband and I couldn't have been happier. I got so many compliments, but it was all Mark - on my end, things were remarkably easy. I would recommend Mark Welch Entertainment to anyone looking for a DJ. Check out their website and give them a call. and check out their music selection philosophy, and you'll know you're in good hands. read more

We hired Mark for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah which took place at Scott's Seafood Restaurant in Walnut Creek. (Scott's did a fantastic job as well). Mark's planning tools were great, and we appreciated the effort and time devoted to personally meeting with the family to go over the details. Mark was there on-time and all ready before the ceremony. I was thrilled he was able to collaborate with the Rabbi to provide some appropriate songs during the Bat Mitzvah ceremony...Rabbi Ira was very happy as well! The lights, hula-hoops and bubble wrap were a hit. Everything went according to plan and all of our guests enjoyed the variety of music and entertainment. Mark and his assistant did an excellent job! I would highly recommend Mark Welch Entertainment. read more

Where do I even begin? To say Mark Welch was the biggest reason my wedding was a success would be an understatement. His services went above and beyond our expectations. His website served as the perfect tool for planning our wedding. We used the majority of his suggested vendors and they all worked wonderfully together. When it came to planning the wedding, it was understatement to say my family and I were a little lost and behind. I got engaged in February (2012) and already had my date set for July 7, 2012. Mark made the process more of joy then a stress. He answered all of our questions, made suggestions on what might work better and assured us it would all work out. On the day of, I truly don't think it could have run smoother. The vendors worked together and I rarely had to tell anyone to do anything. They checked in with me to let me know what was next. The dance floor was filled all night and my guests constantly told me and my husband what a wonderful time they were having. Mark, it was truly an honor to have you as our DJ. Thank you so much for making my Wedding day everything I could have ever hoped for. read more

Mark just did my wedding August 7, 2015 at Wildwood Acres and he was great! He moved things along seamlessly and his attitude is really what impressed me and what I appreciated during the rehearsal and day-of. Mark is very nice, positive, and energetic. He mingled with some of my guests, checked in on me to see if I needed a drink during the wedding, and let me know when things were coming up such as the first dance, etc. Such an organized DJ and Master of Ceremony was the best thing to have, I was so glad to have him there for my rehearsal since I have been to few weddings!!! Mark was the Master of Ceremonies at my wedding on 5/14/11, but he was so much more than that. Besides all the other great things that everyone else has said about Mark there are a couple of things I'd like to add that would make this rating a 10 star if it were possible: - Mark stepped in like a champion when the other fabulous DJ that I had contracted suddenly was unavailable due to tragic family emergency 6 weeks before my wedding. He made the transition as seamless as possible. - Mark not only listens to you when going over your schedule and requests ahead of time, he also keeps his finger on the pulse of your guests at all times during your event. He thankfully ignored me when I said "eeewww, don't play AC/DC" and other such statements, because he knew that when people are drinking and having a great time they want to hear ALL the songs they know - even the "bad" ones. EVEN MY STICK IN THE MUD MOTHER WAS DANCING! MY 78 YEAR OLD GREAT AUNT WHO COMPLAINS ABOUT EVERYTHING WAS DANCING AND SAID "I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF"! That in itself is a testimonial to how great Mark is at his craft. If you have the opportunity GRAB HIM FOR YOUR EVENT. You and all of your guests will be grateful that you did! read more

Wow! Mark is top notch! He is so incredibly professional and blew us away with all of the options and considerations his company offered for weddings. He basically kept everything/everyone on time and running smoothly (is that even his job?!). Everything went so well because of Mark - A lot of our guests even commented on how smooth everything went and how there was never a lull!!! We had a multi-floor wedding, which I thought would be tricky, but Mark had everything set up perfectly, on time and with a "no problem, can-do" attitude. Mark was so amazing with our guests and kept the party going! Seriously, everyone was on the dance floor all night long! 100% hands down the best guy to work with! I have had the pleasure of seeing Mark Welch Entertainment in action many times. With out a doubt, Mark's DJ company is the best in the Bay Area. Mark's company specializes in weddings, but I understand they also handle all types of events, from Birthday parties to Corporate holiday parties. As a matter of fact, Mark sent one of his best Disk Jockeys, Steve, to our company's Christmas party. We were so happy with the service Steve provided, we requested him every year. Steve was the DJ for 4 straight years and did a fantastic job. He is great with people and plays excellent music. The company no longer does these types of parties, but if we did, we would still be using Mark Welch Entertainment and Steve. I have seen both Mark and Steve work many weddings and I am always impressed with how professional they are. I have experienced many Disc Jockeys over the years, but this company always stands out among the crowd. I would not hesitate to use Mark Welch Entertainment for any event. He goes beyond what a typical master of ceremonies does at a wedding. He is an entertainer, coordinator and party starter! I give Mark's company my highest recommendation. I have referred him to friends in the past and always received great feedback. I do check! read more

We had the pleasure of having Mark as our wedding DJ (10/12/2012). My husband & I cannot say enough awesome things about him & his servce. He was the preffered DJ for our venue (Wildwood Acres), and now we know why. All my phone & in-person meetings were very informative and put me, the bride, at ease every time. He's so experienced and answered any question I had. I also really loved that he wasn't "judgy," we didn't do a lot of the usual wedding things: bridal party, parent dances, speeches...Mark didn't question or make me feel bad, like other vendors had. He developed the timeline and was the glue to everything on our wedding day, he literally was the only person that kept me calm and re-focused me on my wedding day, inside I was still stressing. He definitely went above& beyond, every time I turned around from pictures he was there with drinks for my husband & I or whenever I called "Mark" he was there etc. We got so many compliments from our guests, about the music and his lovely "outgoing" personality, he became an instant friend with our wedding guests. Our wedding was mixed race, caucasian & latin families, Mark had all the songs for all our type of guests, I was surprised he knew all the latin pop songs etc! Again we couldn't be happier! I've hired Mark for four events. He did my step-daughters wedding 18 years ago. He just did a birthday party for over a hundred people at The Great Highway in San Carlos. We put a video together and he brought the projector the venue provided a 5 foot screen he provide a 10 foot screen and needless to say we used his. I wasn't even aware that he had brought a screen. He is so professional the music was great and he got the party going. Every time I called him he answered immediately or he would get back to me right away. Mark is fantastic! He is really more of a wedding planner than a DJ. I mean, he doesn't call your photographer and cake guy, but this guy is good! I booked him off my sister wedding, which was a few years ago, and I was not disappointed. He was great then and he is great now. He has a paper that has times written out that you just fill in. Song for groomsman=check, song for cake cutting=check. It is great. We went into this not knowing exactly what we wanted, but after talking to him and looking at his paperwork, it didn't take long to finish up the music planning. He did the music for the ceremony and the reception. I can not say enough good things about Mark. If you haven't already, BOOK. HIM. NOW. read more

I know you usually think of a DJ for weddings or parties, but we hired Mark to play music for my Mother's Celebration of Life ceremony recently. Mark's professionalism carried beyond the music selections. He was very respectful and caring in his handling of our event. He played music that we requested during the speeches and even a special request by the priest who gave the blessing. At the last moment I decided it would be nice to hear the song "I'm In Heaven" after the speeches. I didn't even know who the singer was, and mentioned it to Mark. Sure enough, in that short time, he was able to stick it into our selections and it was a very poignant addition. Thank you Mark for everything. You are a star among DJs!! read more
