I attended my brothers wedding and the wedding was beautiful however, the catering company was not professional. They served the food extremely late and cold, as well as many people didn't receive their food. I was the best man and was giving the toast and was supposed to have an ube shot in my hand during the toast which was also supposed to be handed to all the guests, however, I never received mine and many others didn't either. I highly recommend staying away from this company for your wedding. They were extremely understaffed, unorganized and unprofessional. We used silver service for our wedding in Los Angeles, and this was the only mistake of the entire wedding. They showed up grossly understaffed. Guests were served food incredibly late and some were not served food at all. Some people were served dessert first and we heard some guests were thinking of ordering food to get delivered because they were so hungry. They had almost an hour between salads and the entree. They did not even have water at the tables for the guests. Per itinerary, food should have been served at 7:30 and it did not get served until nearly 10pm. They did not communicate the issues they were having with our wedding planner, and we did not come to find out until after our wedding day how bad and unprofessional this catering company is. I suggest booking with different catering companies to ensure your guests don't go hungry. I think literally any other option would be better. I've been trying to reach out to them after the wedding and the communication has been terrible. They've admitted their short-comings and have now disappeared. Don't throw your money away. It's extremely disappointing to know I could have saved $40,000 if most of the guests were still going to leave without dinner. read more

I had high expectations for this catering service as it was affiliated with a very reputable venue. Much to my dismay, it was the only bad thing that happened on the wedding day in May 2024. My guests were hungry because they served dinner almost 3 hours late (timeline provided for them to follow months in advance was dinner to be served 6:30 pm and they did not bring plates out until 9:44 pm via CC TV proof). Church was also running 1 hour late which should've worked on their advantage in terms of preparation. Guests had ice cream from our scheduled "late night snack treat" before the main dinner plate! They did not serve the cake or probably served closer to when guests began to leave as they started their service so late. I'm hearing from guests some didn't even have chargers on their table setting! It's truly quite embarrassing to hear after the wedding especially considering the amount of money they charged for their "catering service." The owner and her partners had been in communication with us for over a year and knew exactly the timeline and guest count. Very ill-prepared, unprofessional, and absolute lack of communication is cherry on top. Not sure where all the good reviews are coming from but don't get fooled by them like we did! Much better to go with other true professional alternatives such as Hunger Bear Catering and don't risk tainting your wedding vibes with their service. They also don't care if they ruined your wedding. They'll take your money and run with it shamelessly after giving you less than mediocre quality service. Jerry and his team made our day! They were so easy to work with throughout the whole process and the food and service completely exceeded our expectations! First of all, they had the best quote out of about 25 caterers I talked to. They were so reasonably priced that I really couldn't believe it. Really, i emailed Jerry back and forth about 12 times to make sure that they really included all the labor, rentals, and extra costs, thinking that it was too good to be true. And it turned out to really be that good, and was true. Second, Jerry made eveything so easy. Almost all of the other cateribg company basically only offered tastings at normal businesz hours. Unfortunately, when they worked, I did too. In fact, both my husband and I have long work hours, so it was so difficult to set up a tasting. Jerry made the effort to bring the samples to us with his team on a Saturday. And not just a few samples, he brought BOXES. We had enough food left over for 4 more meals from just the tasting. Third, Jerry abd his team are so patient. We emailed him at least 50 times talking about different optipns for all the little things, including some specific instructions regarding the food. They kept track of everything and made sure everything was spot on. Also, they don't bother you if they don't need to. They are super professional. I was worried at one point because they seem to be running too smoothly by themselves, whereas all the other vendors had questions here and there. But at the end everything was perfect, from the table set up to the service, and to the food. PERFECT One last note is that everyone LOVED the fruit tarts. I know people may see this review and think "there is no way they deserve a 5/5", but this is true for Silver Service Events. Allow me to justify: Quality of Service: My bride and I were so busy on the day of our wedding that we seriously forgot to eat. Upon arriving at our reception, Silver Service Staff searched us out (the bridal party was gathering in a separate room) to make sure we ate some appetizers. They checked on us throughout the entire night to make sure we had food, drink, cake, etc. Responsiveness: Every time I had a question about the menu or services my emails were returned promptly. When things got a bit confusing by email, I received a phone call. Professionalism: The staff at our reception was very polite and professional. To be honest, the ONLY complaint we received from one of our guests at the reception was that she wanted a "saltier piece of tri-tip" and that Silver Service staff only brought her a salt shaker. (I don't think our guest realized that they didn't season each piece individually). Value: We shopped around and were on a budget, and Silver Service provided an amazing spread and dinner for what we had to work with. Silver Service even threw in an "extra" or two for us, for which we were extremely grateful. Flexibility: Both during our conversations about setup and catering and during the actual reception Silver Service treated us like we were the "boss". Granted, there were times when we wanted certain things and were suggested better options (which we ended up following), but those suggestions were made courteously and professionally. Amazing bang-for-your-buck wedding catering! I had my wedding at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills and Silver Service was my food catering and rentals vendor. I had to quickly find a cater after deciding halfway through planning to keep my reception at Greystone and was super pleasantly surprised to find that Silver Service is a frequent caterer for Greystone Mansion! They've done a lot of events there and know the space inside out, so there was very little worry that I'd lose my $1000 deposit with Greystone for not using a preferred caterer. Since I was planning my wedding remotely from the Bay Area, I didn't have time to do a food tasting, instead trusting all the Yelp and WeddingWire reviews. I went with the most common wedding buffet that Jerry had included in the quote, which included tri-tip steak, roasted chicken breasts, salad, grilled veggies, rice pilaf, and fruit. The few bites I was able to enjoy was all very well prepared and tasty and there was a ton of variety. (They managed to cook chicken breast and NOT dry it up! Amazing!) The appetizers were actually my favorite since I had a chance to enjoy them (mmmmmm steak with Jack Daniels sauce and Prosciutto Cantaloupe!) But even more impressive was the fact that they have LECHON (Filipino roast pig) as a food option! Now I'm not Filipino, but I love me roast pig in any form and they got me some good freaking pig at my wedding. The guests RAVED about the lechon and I definitely saw guests nomming on the trotters with their hands (as it is meant to be eaten!). One of the biggest reasons why I went with Silver Service is because they were honestly my lowest quoted catering company that also provided rentals AND had done events at Greystone. For a 180-guest wedding, Silver Service's quote came in at a SIGNIFICANT margin of difference for a service that included dinner, all rentals, and a full bar. And their basic rentals (white linens, white folding chairs, umbrellas, chairs, tables) were in excellent condition and was perfectly suited for my clean and minimal but still very elegant wedding. More elaborate rentals (chivari or natural wooden chairs) would have been rented through a third party and had a price of $6 and $3 per chair respectively. And that service? They should rename themselves to PLATINUM Service Events because Jerry and his crew went above and beyond what I expected from a caterer. Jerry, first of all, is incredibly quick to respond to any emails and will bend over backwards to get you whatever info you need. I debated having bistro lights and asked for a quick quote. Within 2 days, he got me a quote from a third party rental company completely with a layout of the actual reception area. I ultimately didn't go with bistro lights, but knowing that anything wedding related was easily accessible through Jerry was a huge peace of mind. Constant changes and updated to the invoice were all met with a quick and friendly "sure no problem". For anyone scouring Yelp for catering at Greystone Mansion, I highly recommend Silver Service Events for their commendable professionalism and almost unbelievably high value. Ok, so first, I haven't actually booked their services...yet. The decision is still out on our wedding plans, however, we did get a quote and a tasting from Jerry. Because it was busy during the holiday season, he sent our tasting over to the house (in Long Beach). It was awesome to have our tasting in the comfort of our own home. Prior to the tasting, he was really good about working with me to get the kind of salad and food I wanted to get on the menu. I didn't have any expectations, but the food was warm, prompt and there was plenty for us to taste and make some decisions. The bruschetta is absolutely delicious, my fiance fell in love with it, among the chicken and other food they brought over. Jerry is willing to work with our requests and restrictions and has been very helpful so far. After researching more on venues, we may have to book a place with an in-house kitchen, but if not I'm determined to book Silver Service. We were so happy to have Silver Service Events for the reception dinner for our wedding celebration! From the tasting, Jerry has shown very professional and serious attitude on the business. He is nice, very responsive in a timely manner. Every time when we asked a question he would reply in less than one day. He was always prompt with email replies, and he was willing to work with us to make sure everything looked how we wanted. I really appreciated his flexibility on drop off and pick up dates for our rentals. After months of planning an outdoor wedding, it ended up raining on the day of (in summer in Los Angeles during a drought... Go figure). I dont even know where to start of how amazing Jerry and the entire staff at Silver Service are! When looking for a wedding caterer we received a quote from everyone and their mama. Not only I was impressed by the quote and what was included but the communication was the best! We hadn't even tried the food and just had a feeling Silver Service was going to be it! Jerry personally drove down for a food tasting to our home in Orange County. That alone was amazing and without any strings attached or any promises from us. We figured since the food traveled an hour, we figured not to expect it to be that amazing and boy did we get proven wrong! EVERYTHING was delicious and tasted like it had just came out of a kitchen of a fancy restaurant. Nothing tasted like it was sitting an hour in traffic or like other "wedding" food. It was TOP NOTCH! We were almost too excited! Jerry also knew we were in a budget and this was not budget food whatsoever, it was fancy wedding type of food. he also didn't try to over sell us on anything. In fact I can be a pain in the booty and he worked with me so patiently and made everything work so I got what I wanted and didn't up sell me, he knew how to get what I wanted and at the prefect price. So thats only the tasting part before going into the wedding. We obviously booked him :) Forward to the wedding month. Our day of coordinator asked me to show her my contracts so she knew everything that was being delivered and she COULD NOT BELIEVE the catering contract. Her socks were blown off. She told me she has never seen such a detailed and professional contract with so much detail and she could also not believe the type of food that was coming our way and with the final price. Extremely impressed to say the least and this was once again before even the wedding day LOL Oh not to mention, I wanted a special color/material for my napkins, and honestly I HAVE NO IDEA how Jerry found the perfect color and material of the napkins. It was one of those small details that really really stood out at the wedding. I will have to post photos after I receive them from photographer (My wedding was just last Thursday) I also asked for a special fold and sure enough they happily did it for me. Okay now its wedding day at Rancho Las Lomas (an hour or so away from Silver Service)... The FOOD WAS FANTASTIC! I had comments from all the foodies saying how it was some of the best food they have had at weddings. Keep in mind some of these people attend 200,000 weddings here on the regular and honestly Jerry's catering made our wedding seem so much more expensive than it was, after all I was a budget bride with all sorts of DIY. Sorry for the long post I just have to get the word out there! My last comment is aside from the amazing food.... THE STAFF. SO professional all of them. I found out later that Jerry carried my cake in 90 degree heat across the ranch to the designated area. The cake was not his, so he happily helped out a very annoying task of a super heavy cake when he had so much already on his plate, but Im not surprised he is just cool like that! I originally Found Silver Service Events from a google search for caterers in the LA area. I decided to hire them for my daughters bat mitzvah based on reviews from websites such as yelp etc.. Not personally having a recommendation from someone I actually knew made me a little nervous but went ahead decided to try them out. Jerry was very professional and answered all my many phone calls and concerns about the big day right away. He worked with me on the menu and stayed conscious of my budget. I was a little nervous about how the nite would work out since I had never been to one of his affairs before. ..I walked into the event room and it was set up beautifully, exactly what my daughters wanted. People came all night and complimented me on the appetizers as they were good and kept coming. Not only was Jerry completely professional, friendly and 110% willing to adjust to meet our budget, he had one of his thoughtful employees drive 2-3 hours in LA traffic to deliver our tasting! Even though the food sat for quite a while, it was INCREDIBLE! Needless to say I booked with them right away. I cold-called around and found Jerry (Silver Service Events). I assumed they were way out of my price range but actually saved me money, was one of the 5 regular caterers for the venue, gave us a 5-star gluten-free meal, could supply better tables/heatlamps/chairs than my other equipment rental place... Silver Service Events is equipped for anything and everything, offered us suggestions and advice that improved our event while never trying to up-sell us. They will actually care about you to make sure everything runs as smooth as possible. I plan to use them at all my events in the future and suggest you do as well. You will not be sorry. I am so glad that we chose Silver Service events to cater our wedding last week! The team arrived early for set-up, served food that blew away our guests (I can't tell you how many people are talking about the baked brie) and was very conscientious about clean-up to make sure that our entire venue deposit would be returned to us. The Event Manager was superb and checked on us periodically throughout the night to make sure that everything was running smooth. I had a very specific vision for how my wedding would be (from table settings to signature drinks) and Silver Service carried out all of the details perfectly. What a nightmare (to say the least). Our wedding reception was held at a beautiful wedding venue, Majestic Halls. The venue uses Silver Service Events as their in house caterer so we decided to use them to save on some additional costs. If I had known that we were going to be served D class food I would have paid the extra money to hire a catering service of my choice. At the first tasting we met with Jerry who made us feel very at ease saying that we could make adjustments as needed, etc. After that we requested a 2nd tasting because we weren't happy with what we tasted the first time. Our 2nd tasting was with a new chef because they said the last chef left. We were a little worried, but went to the tasting and selected a dish considering that we were only about a month away from our wedding. We agreed to a braised beef short rib with a port red wine sauce. But to our dismay, on the say of our wedding we were served a beef dish that was definitely not braise, not a short rib, and did not have any sauce. It looked dry, was chewy, and left me and my husband as well as many of our guests hungry. The service was very slow and some guests did not get their food until the other tables were already finished. This is not an exaggeration. I have been to so many weddings but this was the worst food I had ever seen at a wedding. We tried to dispute the fact that we were served the incorrect dish, but Jerry and his staff completely denied everything saying that what we were served was what we agreed to at the 2nd tasting. Jerry himself was 1) not at the 2nd tasting, and 2) was not there during our dinner service so I was completely appalled that he could throw such accusations at us. We did not sign a contract directly with Silver Service Events so they completely refused to take any responsibility for the incorrect dish served. When looking at the other reviews I thought they could be trusted, but we are still fighting to get some kind of compensation back to this day. What a horror it was to be served such terrible food on our wedding day. We did not expect to have to worry about being served the wrong dish. So be sure to sign a contract with them so that you are covered for anything that may go wrong. I wish I could post the emails from Jerry following after our wedding day because they were rude and completely dismissive. I would advise to not use this caterer for any event. read more

Silver Service Events catered our wedding and we could not have been happier. From the tasting through the end of the wedding night itself, Jerry and his team were quick to respond, helpful, flexible with our unique requests (breakfast for dinner buffet & crepe station), friendly...and the food itself was outstanding! It's also important to note that Jerry actually personally delivered us the original tasting due to our hectic schedule, which was an amazing first impression! But beyond that, the food itself was so tasty and it made our decision to go with Silver Service Events incredibly easy. In the months leading up to the wedding, Jerry was so quick to respond and helpful with every detail, from food questions to rentals to costs and everything in between. Then on the night of our event, the team was there and everything proceeded perfectly. The waitstaff & bartenders were incredibly friendly, helpful, funny and calm, making their presence and work the perfect complement to the evening. Our guests were so impressed by the food (most of whom went back for several plate refills) and the staff, as were we. We would strongly recommend Silver Service Events to any of our friends getting married or having events in the LA area...thank you so much! read more

Jerry and his servers with Silver Service events were the caterers at our wedding this past weekend and served incredibly delicious food! We were on a budget, so we weren't trying to spend a fortune for food. Jerry was willing to work with our budget and I feel also provided better food than any of the restaurants we had received quotes from. Our menu tasting offered a very convenient home delivery option so we chose to have it delievered to our home. Jerry and 2 of his servers arrived with several options for entrées and side dishes as well as appetizers! It was all so delicious it made it very difficult for us to choose. They even can accommodate a dessert menu! At the wedding, the groom and I never actually got a chance to enjoy any of the appetizers which I was a little bummed out about, but the buffet dinner was wonderful and we heard repeatedly about how delicious the food was! We have shared with many of the guests and continue to recommend Silver Service Events for a great catering experience.
