Whoops! Forgot to leave a review from December but better late than never. My sister was celebrating her 35th in Malibu on December 22, and wanted a private chef to come cook her birthday dinner for about 6 of us at our Airbnb. I found Steven online through a search, and his menu (variety) appealed to us/our palate (read: short rib ravioli), so I contacted him in mid-September. He replied within a day, and was super receptive to our needs. At the time, we didn't know if our party size would be 4 or 6 but the price was the same for 4-6 people, which was pretty great. We were able to curate our menu based on Steven's specialties and our preferences. FYI our final menu was the following, and it was all amazing: Salad: Buratta Cheese salad with wild arugula and Campari tomatoes Starter: Seared Sea scallops with cauliflower puree Entree: Hand cut fettuccine noodles with Short Ribs and Mushroom Medley Dessert: Sticky toffee pudding with bourbon toffee sauce There ended up being 6 of us in total. Steven took care of everything, from prep to execution to clean up. I had texted him pics of the limited cooking equipment in our Airbnb earlier in the day but he totally made it work. He's super chill and fun but 100% professional, and both the presentation and taste of the food were just phenomenal. We were all so impressed and so happy. My sister - the birthday girl - couldn't get over the food (and the dessert). Food coma def ensued. Also, it's worth noting that while we had 6 people, we had leftovers of the pasta for another meal. Hired Steven to cater my dinner for my 30th birthday and I can't put into words how amazing he was! Steven came so prepared and ready to execute a 3 course meal for me and 11 of my best friends. We rented this amazing house in the Hollywood hills and it worked out real well! The menu was great and the price was pretty good for a party of 10.
