I was in town for a visit and everyone keep recommending this place for a boozy ice cream treat so we stopped by. Very cool location, easy to get to, easy to navigate. It has a small store front where I bought my child (who wasn't with me) a slingshot. Neat little area. It was clean and service was friendly. Why three stars? It was HOT. Our ice cream scoop and my boozy treat melted extremely fast and was a tad bit over priced for a shot of horchata and a slice of banana. Would I come back? They also have a full bar, are open late, have live bands, fun events, and friendly staff. I really REALLY wanted to love this place. In fact I've been wanting to go for a couple of years and finally was in town to check it out. The concept is quite unique with the boozy ice cream drinks but the service was the absolute WORST we've encountered in some time. And we were both servers in the past. The bartender was just ok, but kept filling walk ups after he received our order then all 3 were wrong. The bar server was even worse. She (brunette with long hair) was RUDE, unfriendly and refused to even speak when asked a question, she just stared at us. Complete lack of training or just rude who knows. The drinks were wrong so once we voiced this in a polite way she just turned around and walked off. My husband had to go to the bar to get them corrected. Awful service. Great ice cream, wonderful service and food allergy friendly!! I would never have allowed my peanut allergic son to have ice cream after seeing the menu but as my husband was getting a sample, the friendly employee asked about any nut allergies so I inquired further. They take so many precautions to make ice cream safe for nut allergies and she even pulled out a book with the ingredients, got a new scoop and a new box of ice cream! Heard so many great things about here, but quickly found out this place was not worth the hype. Their food is wayyy over priced. Trust me, you're not going to leave with a full tummy unless you're paying a very pretty penny. My husband enjoyed the atmosphere and the poker upstairs but refuses to go back after seeing the price of the beers and his dinky dry sandwich. The staff was friendly, however they didnt seem to know their menu very well and constantly left us hanging with empty drinks. Even just figuring out our total at the end of the meal was a nightmare. Items were mixed up and not on their proper receipts, along with discounts not being applied. Only thing worth stopping for is the ice cream. read more

Places can't get blamed for the behavior of their patrons, but my wife and her friends had a rough experience with this place. People should be aware of the vibes of the patrons when deciding to come here. A dozen women wearing dresses and out for a bachelorette party were seeming unwelcome because they didn't look like rednecks who lived in Granbury? Several comments were made to the group of women like "Did Biden send y'all here", "not in here" (as they're walking in) "y'all don't belong here" etc. The business has to accept some accountability for the vibe of the place, the way they were treated is unacceptable. Guess you need to wear a Maga hat for the other patrons to leave you alone. Unreal. It's really an indictment on the city of Granbury in my opinion. read more

Made a day-trip to Granbury...not expecting to a one-stop ice cream shop and bar. Enter the Silver Saddle. I was quite happy to find "Jack & Coke" ice cream, and would have been happy with that. But when they said I could have a Jack & Jack & Coke float at the bar...'nuff said. A little pricey, (about $15), but you get two pretty generous scoops of ice cream, what amounted to a double shot of Jack Daniels, and Mexican Coca-Cola (made with real cane sugar)...and you got to keep the bottle of Coke to top off the float (or just finish). I probably ingested a weekend's worth of calories with that...I'll eat a salad sometime to make up for it. read more

I went again on a Saturday and it was still a great atmosphere, but it was so busy and under staffed. My friend and I couldn't get a second drink and when we went to tab out it took forever cause they were so busy. I think it will be better down the road because they are new and everyone wants to check them out. We needed to kill some time while downtown and I'd heard about this place but wasn't really sure what it was all about. Happened to snag a parking spot right out the front door so we decided to hit this place first. We were pleasantly surprised at the kind staff and how helpful they were explaining all the ice cream flavors and giving us samples. We fell in love with our first sample of the Brownie Pecan. It was so decadent that neither of us could finish the large amount we had in our cones. I mean we both tried really hard to force it down but we were just to full. The staff were all dressed in period western wear and it really added to the surroundings without being hokey. Once we walked into the back I was a bit upset I hadn't realized their was a full bar back there that served all kinds of yummy adult treats. Next time I'm bellying up to the bar for one of those. While we ate we played a few rounds of checkers and I realized my daughter had become better than me. We had a great time just talking and enjoying our surroundings. read more

Found this craft ice cream shop while out on Sunday afternoon shopping with my visiting daughter. We tried the Horchata flavor (similar to a cinnamon sorbet) and the "Denim & Velvet" which is red wine & bleu cheese, sounds odd for ice cream but was incredible if you like those flavors. We will be back! Service friendly and will let you try flavors before you decide. They had many "adult flavors" and so we want to go back and try more. Comfortable seating inside, much welcomed since it was really hot outside and would have melted our cones quickly. In back was big screen tv with Rangers game on and more tables and restrooms. Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy unique ice cream flavors and escaping the heat for a few minutes. read more

The lavender ice cream is outstanding!! Most amazing ice cream. However I went in tonight around 7:20 and there was a girl and a boy working. I ordered a cup of 3 scoops they weren't even full scoops so I had to have her put more in. Then again from the girl I ordered a large shake and not only did she make it and it only was half way full she put more in and it still was not full but still gave it to me. I also ordered a cup of 2 scoops from the boy and he did it perfectly. This wouldn't be horrible but the total was 18 dollars. Also it took at least 10 minutes to scoop the ice cream. read more

Took our niece and nephew visiting from Minnesota here, and we were all quite impressed.

Don't go on a Saturday night with local live music. The locals are taking up the first half of the place for the concert & we can't sit upstairs with under 21 due to poker. No place to sit. Ice cream selection was wonderful though. read more

This is insane. People walking in and out where the food comes out, and the service is non existent. We sat for 15 mins and watched people walk past us, but hey they have time to set up for the poker game. There were no masks on anyone, and no gloves. One of the people that went in the back sneezed on his hands, then wiped them on someone, before heading back to the kitchen. I use to like this place, but then they took advantage of a BLM rally, saying they were so hurt from the protest blocking the square, but you could still clearly walk to the bar and they were receiving business. It was also in the middle of the day and lasted only 30 minutes. The service here has never been exceptional as most employees seem frazzled and confused with orders.
