Bonnie & Clyde biscuits and gravy. Blueberry Hill pancakes.

Oh my gosh the food was very delicious! The portions are huge too! We asked our waitress Brandi what was her favorite for breakfast and she suggested the Bonnie & Clyde for really good biscuits and gravy. She was spot on. We also ordered the Blueberry Hill pancakes and they were delicious as well. The blueberries were fresh and large and the composure was very good. If you go make sure you are hungry as we had plenty of leftovers. We have definitely found a new breakfast place and will definitely be back. To the owner Kevin- I would love to suggest a blueberry muffin or biscuit made with your compote!

Come and share the 1866 plate with your family and friends. It's a huge serving of 2 pancakes, a waffle, eggs, potatoes, toast, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. There's no way one person can eat this alone. Usually these gimmick platters are for show, but this one is full of flavor. The maple sausage is delicious, the potatoes have that perfect griddle crust, the pancakes are fluffy, the biscuit and gravy is divine. Absolutely recommend. Our server was delightful, friendly, and just a great attentive ambassador for the restaurant. A great spot for breakfast for sure.

The 1866 meal comes with A TON of food. Unfortunately, maybe too much to keep track of? We asked for over medium eggs but got scrambled. Asked for ham, got bacon. Asked for sourdough toast, got white. Our server, Lili, was lovely, attentive, very apologetic when she realized we got the wrong items, and asked the kitchen for the correct items right away. The correct items didn't come to the table until our meal was nearly done, which was disappointing. That said, the quality of the food was good, and we will probably give this place another shot.

A fine place to get breakfast. Our party of 3 was immediately seated in a booth on a Sunday morning around 10:30 am. The server seemed to have too many tables and was pleasant in spite of it. The food portions were large. The pancakes get a thumbs up, the waffle gets mixed reviews. Half of it was fine, the other half was overcooked and so crispy it crumbled if you tried to cut it. We were just visiting Granbury - this seems to be a popular local spot!

I tried GPH on a Sunday morning. Understandably, there was about a 25 minute wait. Once seated, unfortunately there was more waiting for someone to come around to say hello and take our drink order. That was tough without having had my morning coffee yet. Finally, a very friendly server came and we ordered drinks and food right away. Unfortunately the waiting continued. I drank my coffee black (which I never do) because I didn't want to wait for the half and half to come (that I asked for a total of three separate times). It came towards the end of the meal. Yikes. We also waited quite a bit for water refills. The food was good and why this review is 3 stars instead of 2! I ordered the Bonnie and Clyde scramble after reading about how the gravy was delicious. It was an enormous pile of food with biscuits about as wide as my hand. I enjoyed the home fries as well, everything was tasty. I wasn't all that impressed with the bacon, I feel like I could make better at home. It was kid approved, though. I also tried my daughter's Texas waffle and it was really yummy. My husband ordered the Roxy sandwich with sausage and he said it was "fine." The coffee was good too once I was able to make it the way I wanted. I also liked how they used locally sourced ketchup. Overall, I think this place has staying power if they can figure out how to provide excellent service.

I thought prices were high, but what really upset me was my pancake was scorched and burned on the bottom. I didn't notice until a few bites in, when I questioned why it was not better? Then I flipped it over and saw why. Yuk. Now if I hadn't personally observed very slow response on other sub-par orders, I would have asked for a new one. But, in reality, it wasn't that bad, just not good enough to inspire a return visit. I hope they get their act sorted out.

Chicken sandwich was huge. I have large hands.

Can't say enough good things about this place! The portions are huge! The food was delicious, the service was even better. The prices were amazing. I had the original chicken sandwich and I couldn't eat it all. My wife got pancakes and they were also huge and delicious. Very clean and comfortable place to relax and eat.

From the start, breakfast was solid all the way around. Seating was quick (we seated ourselves), and our waitress came over almost immediately to take drink orders. When she returned, we were ready to order--which is always a minor victory when dining with my youngest grandsons. One of them eats like a champ; the other... not so much. On this visit, hash browns were the sole winner for him. As for me, I went big. I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelet topped with hollandaise sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The breakfast also came with two large pancakes. The only minor downside was that the pancakes arrived just slightly warm--not hot. I understand they're likely made ahead and held under a heat lamp while the rest of the table's orders are finished, so it wasn't a dealbreaker, and I still enjoyed them. Overall, Cari's is a great spot for breakfast, and hopefully I won't wait another eight years before my next visit!

It being Sunday of Labor Day weekend meant everyone was in town, and it definitely slowed things down. There wasn't a single open table inside or outside. I wasn't sitting down for service, just grabbing things for the road, but I ordered a muffin and an iced Cinnamon Twist. I think I regret ordering the size as big as I did (their grande was like 24 oz iced) because it was quite milky (my fault), but the cinnamon and vanilla were good. The muffin was the true star of the show. It was huge, dense, and fluffy. A much-needed carb and sugar rush after my humid Granbury run. The place is super cute, and I will totally try to go back for brunch next time I visit. The place can feel a little tight when you're trying to order to-go without getting in the way of the staff, other people ordering, and the people dining in, but the place was practically at capacity when I got there. I also saw the Yelp sticker on their door, and I was like, OMG I YELP. RIYL: A bistro pulled straight out of a Hallmark Original Movie.

About a month…read moreago, my parents went on a road trip through parts of Texas they'd not yet explored in their 60 or so years. One stop in Granbury for my dad to look at an old car for sale led my mom to The Pan Handle to shop while he fantasized about purchasing the vehicle. I think by the time my mom left The Pan Handle, she was fantasizing about moving to Granbury. She called me immediately after shopping there to tell me what a great experience she'd had and returned home with a gift for me - a cutting board by the same brand of one I got her last year that she'd broken. While shopping, she told the story of the cutting board's demise to Sara in the store and Sara kindly offered to contact her rep for the brand. He knew nothing about the specific design (a map of the U.K.) but said he'd try to find it in warehouses across the U.S. He did and almost exactly a month later, that cutting board arrived at my mom's door, packaged securely by the Pan Handle with a note signed by Sara. Even I, at 29 years old, know customer service like this is hard to come by and that's why I'm giving 5-stars. Sara knew my mom wasn't from the area and quite possibly might never return to the store, but she did everything she could to make sure my mom had a pleasant experience. Because of this, I think The Pan Handle might have to be a stop on any trips we take "up north" in the future.
