Friends playing pool at the silver peso!
    Paul S.

I play pool a couple of times a week and every time I go to the peso the Patriots and the staff are unbelievably courteous and kind! Their drink prices are less than some of the other bars in the neighborhoods! And the staff is much more pleasant! They have three pool tables that are open there's never a wait! Lots of people come here and we play pool and we have fun there's like a thousand televisions in there every Sports venue is is there baseball football soccer tennis NASCAR F1 even lacrosse! This place is great I love it I will continue going there to play pool and meet with people and have a good time in Marin county!

    They're back!

Jeff makes the BEST Bloody Marys. Playing shuffleboard makes you forget how many Bloody Marys you've had :-)

if you're looking for an unpretentious, neighborhood dive bar (that isn't *trying* to be a dive bar) this is your place. cheap drinks, healthy pours, friendly bartenders! pool tables, $2 a game or $5 for 3 (cash only). solid juke box! we will be back for sure!

Rude staff. And especially ruder after the new change. Really disappointed, also don't have an outside area.

The bartender is a little socially awkward. The drinks are decent and the crowd is super friendly and fun.

It's inside a mall, and I did not see any directories to point the way. Once we found it and sat down, I noticed the sign telling us to scan the QR code on the table to order. Honestly, that almost sent me right back out the door. I wanted an actual menu, not a tiny phone screen with lots of scrolling and submenus, especially since I had questions about the food. The atmosphere felt a bit impersonal at first, mostly because of the mall setting and the QR-code ordering system, but the friendly staff helped make it feel much more comfortable once we got settled. The two people working the front were both very pleasant, answered my questions, and made the whole experience feel much more welcoming. They had a decent IPA selection and a variety of bar foods (pizza, wings, appetizers). We ordered the arancini, fried cauliflower, and a pizza. The fried cauliflower was the surprise hit for me, especially with the garlic aioli. The arancini and pizza were also very good. The QR ordering setup still feels more frustrating than inviting, but the friendly service and surprisingly good food turned things around. In the end, I left glad that I stayed.

I ordered the meatball soup special , fried calamari , mozzarella sticks , and chicken strips -- everything came out hot, fresh, and WAY better than bar food has any right to be . And then I wrapped it up with a brownie + ice cream that was honestly dangerous because it was THAT good ‍. Attached to The Boardroom restaurant, The Speakeasy is a real find featuring a wonderfully robust appetizer menu, a full bar, and a daily happy hour menu that applies mostly to alcohol purchases. If you're looking for wine here, the bar offers a variety, with the house wines - excellently priced at $8-$9/glass - comprised fully of Rutherford grown grapes. Somebody here knows what's up. A friend who'd talked up The Speakeasy for years is besotted by the Marsala Sautéed Chicken Livers ($11) on the bar menu. Not ever a fan of liver, I avoided sampling his until we'd collectively polished off an order of Baked Goat Cheese ($10) and a trio of Pulled Pork Tacos ($13). He'd grown full and much liver remained which is when I learned that I do like chicken liver. Or rather, I like chicken liver as prepared at The Speakeasy. All of the above pretty much had me fan-girling out over this place but then this happened: We were done, requested our check, and were told that someone that evening had picked up the tab for the entire bar, something I've not experienced in my lifetime. I already liked The Speakeasy a whole lot before learning my food and drink were free of charge. Like changed to rabid fandom when this occurred. I know that I can't expect a full repeat of this experience but even if it's just chicken livers and Cabernet, that'll be enough.
