I have been going to this nail salon for 6 years and Kathy who used to work there was amazing. Please look at the pictures!!!!! Here are the cliff notes (read below for details) - New owners (not a good change) - nails are crooked and chipped - used polish to cover flaws - made me bleed on 4 fingers - nails all different shapes and sizes - only took cash and told me at the end - won't honor old punch cards - nails are chipped from acrylic sizes being wrong and needing to be filed down I went today to get a full set of acrylics and the new person did a horrible job. I am so so so disappointed. I used to love this place :( Not only do they not do acrylic gel anymore (they used dip gel which I guess is ok....??) but she didn't use the electric machine that files your nails smooth. She used a hand held nail file like you buy at a grocery store so she literally made 4 of my fingers bleed from filing my skin versus my nails. I will never go back there. She said it's a new owner so they wouldn't let me use my punch card either. Told me I can use the same card but instead of "5 visit's get $5 off your 6th", you do 10 visits and get a free manicure. Not the end of the world, ok but you can't say I can use the same punch card and then not honor what the card says on it. My nails are all different shapes and sizes and when I told her one looked crooked she literally said "yeah everyone's left and right hands are different shapes". I was like um..... my nail on my left thumb is leaning towards my right hand haha.. it's not my hands. It's the crooked nail. I asked her to shorten them a few times and eventually she just stopped listening and did her own thing. They're way too long. She also glued on the acrylic nails and then ripped one off my finger because she did it so crooked so it ripped real nail when she literally pulled it off after it had been glued. Then they wouldn't take cards. Only cash. Cause their "machine is broken". So thankfully I had cash. There are bubbles in the polish because she used the polish to try to cover up how lumpy my nails are. I cannot believe how bad my nails look. She asked if I wanted my cuticles trimmed and cleaned up and I said yes and she never did that. Unless you count how she filed off the skin around my fingers. Overall very disappointed and will never go back. read more

I have no idea why anyone would give them anything more than 1 star. I have come in here a few times. Each time thinking maybe next time will be better. The customer service is TERRIBLE! I told the lady it is my bridal shower and that I needed my upper lip and eyebrows waxed. She literally put HOT wax on my skin right away!!! It was scorching hot and on top of that my skin got irritated and itchy. On my bridal shower day! Oh but here is the best part! She put that same hot wax on my lips! She wiped it but the wax did not come off so it got on my teeth and Was uncomfortable. Also I tried making conversation and being nice the entire time but nothing. They talked about me, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. At the end I asked to look in the little mirror after she was done because you can see little things better and she just pointed at their big mirror and completely dismissed me. I still gave a tip and was kind but after I got home I realized I don't want anyone to have to go through this experience! read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I made an appt for 3 of us to get our nails done but when we got there, there was only one person. I felt she was really trying to rush so it didn't take long for all three of us to be done by one person. Although our nails turned out pretty good. I paid for manicure shellac and mind you the manicure portion is more expensive and I didn't get any type of massage on my hands which I always get at other places even if it's for just 1min but again she was rushing. We ended up waiting for the last person for quite awhile so again why let me schedule three of us at the same time if you won't have the staff? So that was a bummer. read more

So far my experiences here have been really good. Kathy is very focus and always making sure that you are absolutely pleased with the result. The girl that has been doing my pedi couple of times is very sweet and gentle. This salon is located less than a mile from my house so is a no brainer for me to come here. Recommended! read more

By FAR the WORST experience I have ever had in my life. My nails look awful a 5 year old could've done a better job. If you want a horrible experience go here. She literally did my shellac manicure in less than 10 minutes because she had an appointment that she failed to communicate. I asked for a shellac manicure and pedicure she started doing my nails and then told me she wouldn't have time for the pedicure. She didn't cut my cuticles until after the shellac was on even though I asked her to do it before. I have shellac polish all around my nails and imprints in the polish.....and she charged me full price. I wouldn't have even cared if she realized she did a horrible job and acknowledged it and gave me a discount. I go to get my nails done to enjoy it.... there was no joy what's so ever. This place is amazing! I showed Tracy a picture on my phone of what I wanted and she delivered! Not only do my nails look fantastic but she took four of us right when she opened and called in another girl to expedite the process. Two of us got pedicures, one with gel and the other regular. I've been going here for a while. It occurred to me as I was on my way to the salon yesterday that I was DREADING it. She does an amazing job on my nails which keeps me coming back. The only problem I have is that she's SO RUUUUDE. She doesn't say a word to me unless it's snarky. Example: "You move too much. You worse than little girl!!!" Now I understand that we never know what's going on in someone's life and because of that I've always given her the benefit of the doubt. I'm a very generous tipper; at least 30%. Yesterday? By far the worst experience ever. The person who was doing the eyebrow service is awful and not polite at all. They infact asked me to check elsewhere while doing the service. I was politely asking to correct when I wanted. That hurt them the most and have never seen people asking you to check elsewhere when the customer was polite enough. I just had the worst manicure EVER! I went in to have my shellac taken off and get a basic manicure. Just to clean up my nails. No color or anything. That cost $20. Let's talk about my manicure. First off I had a new girl and I'm not sure she's ever done nails before. It seemed like she was just guessing as she went along. She filed my nails and everything before I soaked them. Finally when I did soak my nails the water was ice cold. Then she proceeded to scrape my nails as she was pushing back my cuticles and she barely even trimmed the cuticle that she pushed back. I have deep scrape marks on my nail beds now from how hard she pushed. I'm sorry to be so disappointed. This place is so close and convenient but I'm thinking it's worth the drive to go somewhere else in the future. Totally bummed. read more

Love love love this place. I initially came just because it's super close to my house. I got acrylics and a pedicure. My acrylics look better than I have ever seen. The lady took so much time and careful attention to detail, they look fantastic! And I got the longest wonderful foot and leg massage with my pedicure. So incredibly relaxing. Not to mention everyone there was super friendly! They chatted with me, offered to bring me coffee or water and to do anything to make me more comfortable. I used to come for manicure&pedicure with my mother to this salon. We have not always been too impressed, but used to return due to proximity to my mother's house. After our last experience we will never come back here again. My mother's nail polish chipped on most of the fingernails in less than a day (usually it lasts for over a week). Perhaps they haven't wiped off the lotion well before applying the polish. When she stopped by the next day to fix it (something I had to convince my mom to do) - the owner refused and said that it was perfectly normal for the color to chip within a few hours; and they would not fix anything after you walk out of the salon. Now I understand why the salon is often so empty and will drive an extra few miles to a much better place. I also feel bad that my mother was treated this way right before mother's day. read more

The shellac may be amazing, but my experience at this nail salon was terrible. I made an appointment ahead of time. I arrived just before 10am, the time they opened, and no one was there. No one arrived to open the salon until 10:10am. I wanted a pink and white fill for my acrylic nails. When I sat down at the station, it was very dirty. Despite my misgivings, I went ahead. I have had acrylic nails for many years, and I have to say, this is the worst experience I have ever had. My nails look terrible. I can't wait for the next two weeks to go by so I can get these fixed. Do not come here for any acrylic nail services! read more

I CAUGHT THEM TAKING PICTURES OF MY MINOR CHILDREN AND MY VEHICLE! I called silver nails this afternoon to be sure they would accept my check before coming to them for the first time. I explained to the lady on the phone that I had lost my wallet earlier that day and only had a checkbook. she said they would accept the check, not to worry. I booked the appointment for 3 pedicures and 3 manicures. When I arrived, I made sure that they accepted checks before beginning out service, the lady assured me it was fine and we got our services completed. When it came time to pay for our manicures and pedicures, the lady told me the total to write on my check. She then asked for a credit card and I asked why she was asking for a credit card. She asked for my drivers license and I explained I had called before making our appointments because I did not have my wallet and she said the my check would be fine. I carry my drivers license and credit cards in my wallet. She asked for something to verify my name on my check. I told her I could show her my prescription medication that shows my name, I offered to grab my insurance card out of my vehicle and my registration. As I went out to my car, I noticed her gesture to her daughter and her daughter began photographing my children! I came back into the salon with my insurance information and she spoke something not in English to the young girl who then went out to take photographs of my vehicle. I told the woman to call the police if she had a problem with my check and to delete the photographs of my children and my vehicle immediately. I asked her to call the police several times which she refused to do. I asked for the name of the owner. she gave me a piece of paper and said "vu" but refused any additional information. I have never had an experience at a nail salon like this EVER, and I will never be back. You can bet I rewrote a check and removed the $20 tip. I am new to the area and chose to visit this location of Silver Nails because it is close to my house. I asked for a manicure/pedicure. If I were in a big hurry, this would have been perfect. Both were done in parallel, and both rushed through the process as quickly as possible. The foot scrub was almost non-existent, and the "massage" was not. There was no pressure whatsoever ... just rubbing lotion on the legs/feet for 5 mins max. The hand massage was less than a minute on each hand. The price was great($30), so this follows the old saying "you get what you pay for"... in this case, I'm not sure I got that. I definitely won't go back and don't mind paying a little more to get a true mani/pedi. read more

I have been going to Silver Nails for about 8 years now. It is always great! I have tried a few other nail salons in the area, but none of them have been as good as Silver Nails. The prices are very reasonable. I always get acrylics, and they last for a long time. Only downside is that the selection of polishes they have is not very extensive (unless you want a shade of red...they have mostly reds) but you can, of course, always bring your own color too. I never make an appointment to get my nails done, but they are fast and at least get my nails started within a few minutes. read more

My daughter and I have been going here for years. I went last week and had someone I never had before. The usual girls I see weren't there but I saw the manager lady around. They have this new thing that looks like a big metal cheese grater and she took that thing and wailed on my foot. I had to yell at her to get her to stop. So much skin was shredded it was unbelievable. My foot was bleeding and she started putting Vaseline all over it. Didn't help. The pain was unbelievable. I will NEVER go back there. This was on Friday and I could hardly sleep that night. Saturday I had to limp and I still cannot wear anything but flip flops and the weather got cold and rainy. Not good. My foot still hurts and I have been putting Aloe on it to try to heal it. They need to toss that device. I never said another word to her. She started blaming my sandals and talking about cracked heels but my feet are really in pretty good shape. Wish I could attach a picture. The main lady looked over and I'm sure they all know what happened but no one said they were sorry. She actually gave me a little card with a stamp where you get a bunch then get a free pedicure.
