Went here for the first time with my husband and one of our friends. Our friend frequents this restaurant often for dinner and drinks. He recommended it and since it's close to home that was a plus. It's a nice steakhouse without having the drama of driving to Dallas or the drama of parking/valet at the shops of legacy. Sometimes you just wanna go somewhere local and easy, lol. Silver Fox really exceeded my expectations! The service was superb! Our server Nellie was awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable. We started with the crab cakes, which were delicious, and came with a nice sauce. I tried the Blackberry smash cocktail- It was sooooo yummy. For dinner we tried the filet mignon baseball-cut, it was extremely tender and melted in my mouth. I also tried the lobster tail, which probably had the best presentation I've ever seen! (See the picture below! There was a little fire next to it!) Our friend tried the peach-glazed pork chop, which I'll say after sneaking a bite it was extremely tender, juicy, and flavorful! We had paired the steak with Merlot and followed with 7-layer chocolate cake! The cake itself was a bit dry, but the ganache was delicious. The chef brought us out some nice complimentary drinks to finish off our dessert. Overall a pleasant experience, with great service, food, and ambiance. They did a nice job wearing masks and social-distancing the tables, I felt pretty comfortable eating inside that restaurant without any hesitations. Good work Silver Fox! read more

May I give them 10 stars??? We made a reservation for Saturday night, when we arrived the place was packed but we did not wait more than 5 min for our table. When we walked in we were greeted by 3 pretty hostesses. When we sat down our server came by right away, managers were checking on us, I mean you get a lot of attention. We started with some delis margaritas , then heirloom tomato salad, we got fresh bread with butter and horseradish pickles:) was awesome. I had the peppercorn steak my dinner partner had the rib eye. Both were perfectly cooked and the sides were delis. I love French fries so I changed my side to that, usually it comes with mashed potatoes. I also got and extra side coz I love love brussels sprouts, these were crunchy and tasty. I did not like the au poivre sauce so I asked for a side of hollandaise which was great but was served cold. Never had it like that before. But I guess it's always a first time for everything. I wish I would have more space for dessert we definitely have to come back and try some. read more

This was my first stop last year for DFW restaurant week; my two roommates and I picked this place for a little roomie date because it was close to the apartment. I wouldn't say it wowed me, but the portions were generous enough that I did have leftovers to take home with me! The optional ahi tuna nachos course wasn't bad, but the lobster bisque was pretty salty, and the steak wasn't anything special. I did enjoy the mandarin orange cake for dessert, but there are plenty of other steakhouses in the area that I would rather go to for a more delicious time. read more

Today we randomly ended up there for dinner, and I have just got to say that this was the best dining experience we have had in a long time. Their safety measures due to Covid are unmatched, the ambiance is intimate and relaxing, the server was wonderful, and the food... wow. Tonight we tried the tomahawk steak and half pound of crab. I highly suggest both. They make the crab easy to eat with zero mess by shaving the top layer off so you can just eat into the shell. As far as alcoholic beverages go, I suggest the drink that smells and tastes like roasted marshmallows. I think that might also be the name of the drink, but I am not sure. The manager is attentive and wonderful as well. The price is high, but in my opinion it is well worth it. Portions are plentiful. Just had a delicious meal here with my husband. We love coming to this restaurant, the food is always amazing and the staff and service are the best. Tonight we were waited on by Ian, who was very knowledgable about the menu and specials, had excellent service and a great personality. We started the evening with beef crustade and seared tuna, and as always, these items were delicious. I've been coming here for years. It's one of my favorites which is why I can't do a 1 star because when they are on, their food is outstanding. Today, don't know if it was the B team or what but the service was so bad we just had to leave. We watched as every table around us was tended to. We made eye contact with two wait staff. We drank our water and even had it refilled, after which another table was seated. They immediately were served, given bread and drink order taken. We tried to catch their attention. No dice. So, we got up and left. To add insult to injury, my open table reservation was canceled so I could review it there so here I am. Hope they get their act together. read more

Restaurant Week for the win! Silver Fox clearly lived up to the hype. I started my evening off with a glass of their restaurant week Cabernet. It was the perfect start to the evening and the best was yet to come. The filet was cooked perfectly. The lobster meat was tender and rich and paired nicely with the medium rare filet. I had the chocolate mousse for dessert and savored every bite. It was perfectly creamy and rich with dark chocolate chips to cut the sweetness. While the food was phenomenal, the only thing holding this spot back from a five star review was our server. Our waiter was a bit nonexistent. He never refilled drinks or brought boxes he promised. However, another sever or perhaps a manager made up for his lack of interest. He brought out to-go boxes and even boxed our leftovers himself. read more

Loved it! Went for a business dinner & the service was spectacular. The atmosphere of the dining area was relaxing yet modern & upscale. We first ordered a Chardonnay then something called a tangerita drink which was like a margarita but with tangerines, lime & mango. The food was delicious! We ordered the house salad which was just okay but The greens tasted pretty fresh. My filet mignon was prepared just right & seasoned well & was very tender. The mashed potatoes were also seasoned nicely. The veggie side was sugar snap peas which I didn't think I'd be such a fan of but they weren't over cooked & absolutely delicious! Made reservation for a birthday celebration. We where promptly greeted warmly upon arrival and escorted to our table. Our waiter came by shortly thereafter and obtained our beverage order. After they were served we ordered a couple of appetizers. Once they were served, we order our Entrees. Dinner was slow to be served. My husband never received the Wedge salad he ordered. The meal was good, however not great for the price $516.00 for a party of 4 with 3 alcohol beverage, 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, 2 cup of coffee. When you pull up to the strip mall this place is located in, it doesn't quite feel like the comparable locations nearby that give you the Dallas feel. That being said, the feel of this place on the inside is night and day from what you get on the outside. Inside of Silver Fox is actually pretty nice. The lighting is nice and sexy, the staff is dressed for their part, and the bar is quite attractive as the dim lights bounce off the many bottles in the back. The front desk staff was friendly and well spoken, she was polite and made me feel welcome. My wife made reservations to have my birthday dinner here; I had been here before, but it's been a while. We arrived and we were seated pretty fast. I originally wanted to bring my own bottle and pay a corkage fee, but they don't allow for that, so back to the car my nice Artesa Morisolii Cabernet went... no worries, I have no problem buying their wine since the wine list is pretty extensive. I ordered a bottle of Justin Cabernet from Paso Robles; I happen to dig that bottle and it's reasonably priced. When the waiter brought our wine over to the table, the decanter was dirty. I mean to the point that you could see where the last bottle had drips down the side of the bottle. I wondered if they even washed it... This is not good, especially when I'm about to order my food. While I understand that people don't drink from the decanter, it was still pretty gross to see old wine in my "should be clean" decanter. It's like going on a date with a hot chick that has body odor, she's still hot, but c'mon man, she's stanky, and that just ruins the vibe!!! So the waiter brought back a "cleaner" version of the decanter, to be honest, this one didn't seem a whole lot cleaner, but it was at least better than the other one. I was a little discouraged at this point since it seems like the waiter lost his vibe with me after I asked for a clean decanter. He didn't seem to like it when I said, "can I please have a clean decanter?" So imagine this, my wife and I are at my table with a bottle of wine, I have a waiter that is less friendly and seems a bit annoyed, and I'm still not super happy with my wine decanters cleanliness. Should I decide to complain, I feel I am putting myself in a compromised situation. I was tempted to ask his just to pour my wine from the bottle, but I figured worse case, I know people don't actually put their mouth on the decanter, they just pour their wine out of it.... so I let it be... on to the food... There were small details that were kind of nice, like for instance they took my wife's white napkin and brought her a black napkin to match her dress and the silverware were clean. LOL. The place was not too crowded for a Thursday night, so it was pretty quiet. I ordered the wedge salad; my wife ordered the mixed greens. For dinner I ordered the baseball cut filet and my wife ordered the scallops. My steak was cooked very well, but I'm not going to do the happy dance for a well-cooked steak when I'm at an expensive steak house, it's SUPPOSED to be well cooked. The sides were pretty yummy too, we had the mac and cheese, creamed spinach. My wife especially loved the sweet potatoes. My steak came with snap peas and mashed potatoes. We had a lot of food. I'll just say it, this place was just OK. I didn't have a bad experience, but I didn't have a great experience. I've been to several places recently where I have had great experiences. I gave this place three stars but it really deserves two and a half stars. Nothing really stood out, there was nothing that left me wanting to come back. The food was above average, the waitstaff was attentive enough but there wasn't anything about it that justified 5 stars. 4 stars might be stretching it a tad but I read a lot if bad reviews but was it was overall pleased with the food. The 3 forks salad was really good but why not come up with your own tasty salad? My filet came with mashed potatoes and we split the creamed corn. The waiter boasted it as their famous creamed corn but it was about the same as all I have tasted. I would go back, it wouldn't make my top 5 steakhouse list but certainly worth trying. So we were off the beaten path and wanted to celebrate my wife's last class for her CPA exam. So she wanted something fancy and we found this restaurant. Now I've eaten at really fancy steakhouses and you know the difference between a good restaurant and Outback. The sign on the door was "Proper Attire Required" and although we weren't dress to impress, they greeted us and sat us down immediately as they were having a relaxed night. We bought a bottle of Resiling wine and the wife enjoyed it so much, she had 5 glasses! I recommended the steak Delmonico for her and I had the New York Strip cooked Pittsburgh style. For those that don't know, Pittsburgh style is the charring of the steak on both sides. I also requested to have the strip cooked medium well. Both steak cuts came with mashed potatoes. Our server was quick and she brought us very hot, fresh bread. Our steaks were perfect and the best thing about going to eat a great steak, is that it doesn't need any A1 or Heinz 57. That will ruin the flavor of the cut. At the end of the night because our server asked if we were celebrating anything, she brought us a cake to share. Super rich and extremely moist are my words to describe our dessert. Keep in mind that the steaks are pricey but well worth paying for. Unfortunately the experience wasn't what we had thought. Out of all the steakhouses we have been to so far, this is definitely the most underwhelming. Prices are definitely overpriced for portion and taste, ambiance was like it was an Olive Garden, and waiters were constantly dropping plates and utensils. Overall, not very impressed and would not recommend. I do not like giving low ratings to restaurants, but with a reputation like Silver Fox, standards are raised. read more

The Silver Fox opened for sit down dinning on May 1. The staff was well trained, dealing with any lingering Coronavirus customer fears - masks, gloves and good table spacing. The food was outstanding as was the service. The manager made a point to spend quality time with each guests, personally thanking them for coming in. It was obvious by the service and quality of food, they were appreciative having customers again. We have dined at other Silver Fox locations for years, but Saturday night we met friends at the Richardson location. What a delightful experience our evening was. Our waitress was friendly and polished. She was there if we needed her and didn't "hover" when we didn't. We started with calamari and onion rings and they were both fresh, hot and delightful. All 6 of us had the filet, and I'm sorry to say all 6 of our steaks were cooked incorrectly....the flavor was on point so we just ate them but all who ordered theirs rare, received steaks cooked medium rare. I ordered medium rare, and got medium, the one person who ordered medium got a well done steak. Not sure if it was an inexperienced cook, or just an off night in the kitchen. Review would have been 5 stars if steaks were just prepared as ordered. read more

Came here for my boyfriends birthday, and we were widely disappointed. - 2 out of the 4 steaks that were ordered at our table which were supposed to be medium rare were completely well done. When asked to have it fixed, the steaks brought back out were literally purple. Completely raw. - We asked for a manager, and one never came. - The silverware that was brought was dirty with food left on it & terribly stained. - They brought the food and never replaced the silverware, and we had to wait for a long time to get any. - We ordered a side with a meal and after our food was brought out, we were told it was out of stock. Absolutely perfect. It was well thought out from the beginning to end, a smart dinner planned by the chef. The servers picked out wines to perfectly match the dishes served. The waitresses are very attentive, never letting your glass run dry. They are also very responsive to your requests and will do their absolute best to accommodate you accordingly. I recommend Chef Cesar and your server to be Bobby they will absolutely make your night one to remember. Overall, simple perfection. PS. I tried eating here last night with my husband and his two brothers. We had made a dinner reservation and were seated promptly. We noticed a musty smell upon entering, and my brother-in-law remarked that the Frisco location is much more modern, and this location looked and smelled kind of old. There were two dining rooms: one had some people in it, and the other had nobody in it. We were seated in the area with nobody in it. And nobody came to greet or serve us after sitting there for at least 10 minutes! The hostess walked by our table several times and never noticed that we hadn't been waited on. We finally left, and though she saw us walking out, she did not say anything to us, nor did anyone else. We could not get over our experience at Silver Fox; I've gotten better service at fast food joints, yet this is fine dining? I suggested we head over to Texas next door and see if we could get service there. I'm so glad we did! We had a fantastic meal with wonderful service. So do yourself a favor: skip Silver Fox and just go to Texas! read more

Delondo was the best server I've ever had hands down. My wife and I just had our 5th anniversary dinner here. She takes me to higher end restaurants a lot and I never go back because I don't think they are any better than the less expensive restaurants but I will definitely be going back. Boring! Boring food and lackluster service. (And we've been to another Silver Fox before, and it was not this bad!) We arrived first in our party (total of 4). We were seated in their cramped main room--SO many tables, low ceilings, and so loud! I heard every single word the party at the next table said. Our waitress disappeared after saying hi to us and did not come back for 10-15 minutes, not even with water or bread. She did eventually come back with bread, but no water, right when the rest of the party arrived. She left to get drinks, so I thought it was a great time to run to the restroom before we started eating. The restroom was clean and nice, but the washcloths for drying your hands looked like something your grandmother cleaned with for 50 years. I arrived back at the table in time to hear the waitress "answering" some questions we had about the food. I say "answering" because she just read exactly what was on the menu when we were looking for more information. I can read that it's pan-seared, but what kid of sauce is it served with? What other ingredients? etc. (To be fair, she was very sweet, but just...not great at this.) Our food came out in two trips, which was a little weird because there were only 4 of us with one side to share. The first couple had to sit for a couple minutes while we waited for the rest of the food to come out. (Maybe the dining room was too cramped to bring out a big tray? Idk.) Now, the only reason why I'm giving two stars is because my steak was amazing; it was one of the best I'd ever had and it was cooked correctly. The Brussels sprouts were nice and crispy, but they had rosemary...which I usually like but I didn't think paired well with this veggie. The mashed potatoes were quite boring (there's that word again) and the broccoli was barely cooked. At the end of the meal, I asked about dessert drinks and ports. Our waitress looked confused, so I asked again. "What are your dessert drinks and ports?" "We don't have any port." WHAT?! Eh. Next time we'll try a different steakhouse. read more

The service is always phenomenal, the wine selection and cocktail menu are top notch, and the manager is always on the floor to cater to every table. Yes, the price is high - but well worth it!! Who the heck wants cheap steak and lobster?! We have been here many times, and plan to return many more. This place is stellar!!
