Okay. Middle of no where close to Silver Falls which is a huge benefit to their business. I walked in skeptical, as the outer decor doesn't scream welcome, but that quickly changed. Chill, laid back dudes running it. The menu is basic to the point and spectacular. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers with a side of tots. Flavor notes in the handmade burger; spot on! Tots perfectly crisped and steaming hot. To top it off we got to play a game of chess! Rad joint, be sure to check them out and give support to this local rad place instead of going the extra miles into Silverton. They deserve the business, and this will be my go to stop from now on! They also have outdoor seating and when it gets warmer it'll probably be packed. read more

After an afternoon of chasing waterfalls at the state park what could be better than a great burger and TOTS! Services were a little slow but their helper got hurt called out so it put a little strain. But hey be nice and nice will be all around you. We got served with smiles and good cheer. The burger was filling and the fried egg made it just that much better. Wifey loved the simplicity of the cheeseburger she ordered. Meat cheese lettuce mustard mayo nothing bougie just good ol cheeseburger goodness. The food gets a rave review but this is also a country store. After a long hike this place is the best for a big appetite. It's maybe 10 min away from the hiking trail and there's big signs so you can't miss it. They have outdoor and indoor seating, they have a small grocery attached, and lots and lots of Sasquatch lol. Their burgers are stacked HIGH and they're nice and juicy. Only downside, if I'm being picky, is that the burgers don't come with fries. Their fries are thin natural cut and golden brown with a good variety of crispy and not crispy. Fantastic find! I'm so glad I took the time to Google "food near Silver Falls." This place popped right up and the good reviews lured me in. I tell ya, there's nothing like a really good burger after an 8-mile hike around the waterfalls. This thing really hit the spot. I ordered a humble cheeseburger (sans tomato and pickle because NO), and my hubby ordered a baby Sasquatch burger. His burger came on a fancier bun than mine, but all's well. The burger was cooked perfectly and the toppings were super fresh. We each ordered a side of fries and they were pretty standard, but definitely suitable. It was fairly expensive, though. I believe the two burgers amounted to almost $25, but it's worth it. No reason to schlep all the way to Silverton or Mt Angel for lunch. This is worth a stop! Staff was super friendly. When my hubby asked the guy running counter/tables to thank the chef, he turned around and did it. I'll be back hiking Silver Falls a few more times this year, and each time I'll surely stop here for lunch. read more

We are on vacation with my son and his family and had just hiked a little bit around the Silver Falls State Park (a must go if you are in the area). Anyway, we are heading to the coast on the second leg of our trip and wanted lunch before we got to our destination, so I looked up Yelp to see what is close by. This place was first on the list for being close and had high reviews. I suppose we should of ordered what everyone was raving about, which is their burgers or BBQ, none of which is what we got. I ordered the turkey club and it was fine. Nothing special but good. The place was a bit dirty and the bathroom really needed a good scrubbing. Overall our meals were fine but nothing to make me want to go back the next time we visit the area. read more

We rode over to try their burgers as recommended by a friend. Upon rolling up it is obvious that the place needs some attention. We went inside and were informed that the fryer was being cleaned. Shouldn't they have done that before opening for lunch? They did apologize for not having the fryer ready to go. So we opted for pizza instead. They claim to make the dough for the pizza. We ordered the all meat pizza which arrived in a timely manner. The crust was thin, crispy and very tasty and there was no shortage of cheese or toppings except for bacon & pepperoni which they were out of. They did buy us a drink. I have to say being out of town and ending up in a place where cellular connection was pretty much nonexistent ...unless You have AT&T, I was skeptical when we came here for food .... I was very pleasantly Surprised. The food was a bit on the greasy side for me but tasted decent and ...rustic (?). I think the best part of this place was their special sauce...which tasted like ridiculously good salsa! Who knew ?!?!??!?! Everyone got a burger And everyone approved. It's hard to judge a Burger especially when you're in the middle of nowhere surrounded by baby Christmas tree farms... I had a chicken caesar salad and I ask Approved. It tasted like it was probably 1000 calories. I also got the fish and ships which I thought were mediocre. The fish wasn't crispy enough. The only negative part of the meal were the fries. These tasted like frozen fries you purchase at the grocery store ... Bland and soggy. :/. I guess the blandness isn't as pertinent especially when you drown the fries in their special homemade sauce... We ate the entire bottle. It just made everything taste so good. Beyond the food I would recommend this place for the experience... One friend commented how it reminded her of the bar Suki from true blood worked at. I would agree... You park in a....sandlot. The front door handle is made of an ax (creative) and the inside handle a baseball bat. The front has a giant picture of Bigfoot (?) with a whole cut out of baby bigfoot's face for you to insert yours. Inside is a deli...like smaller than a 7-eleven deli but nonetheless a deli... And then there were benches made of wood, like the kind you expect to be in a park. The seatings are near the windows for your dining pleasures. One of the benches had chinese checkers carved directly into it. We tried to play but they were missing too many pieces. We tried to mix colors but then it just got very confusing. Probably the best part was when I tried to get utensils and could only find a guy sitting in the back in front of an old school TV playing video games. Definitely made me feel at home. Charm. This place is full of charm. 3star food and 4stars for all the quirks. Wish I could do 3.5stars but I like their service so we will round up. read more

It was a nice little spot in the middle of nowhere, anywhere would have been.... Well, if you don't know the line to that song, you just don't know east coast rap. The Silver Falls country store is out there, but it was on our way back from our hike. We stopped for ice cream and a couple of juice drinks. They have hot options, like their Sasquatch burger and fried items. It's also a regular convenience store with beer and other everyday items and souvenir shirts, mostly in tye dye or camouflage. Very friendly people, and if we come back to hike, maybe the Sasquatch will be something to tackle afterwards. Enjoy. read more

What a find! Took a drive down to the Silver Creek Reservoir to go swimming and rope swinging, and drove by this place that boasted, "The Home of the Sasquatch Burger." It piqued our interest, so we went in and found many coolers filled with all sorts of root beers and colas made all around the Northwest and in old school bottles. The kids were thrilled to pick out their favorite and sit down and order one of these so called sasquatch burgers. Little did they know, these burgers were going to be huge--Far larger than their little bellies could hold. But they sure gave it a good try. And besides being huge, the burgers were excellent tasting, and the entire place was decorated in Bigfoot stuff. Fun place. read more

There is beer on tap (4 varieties when I was there). They also have Tillamook Ice Cream to serve in cones. They have a small collection of groceries (mostly beer and junk food, but a few other things). The service is friendly and as prompt as one can expect from a place this small. There is a smattering of arcade games with which to while away the time. My burger was a bit pink on the inside despite asking for well-done. Moreover, the salad was not very appealing -- the greens appeared to come straight from a box, the tomato was mealy, and the blue cheese dressing looked gelatinous. I had the double cheeseburger and it was really good - thick patties, lots of garnishes, plenty of cheese, and messy. Came with curly fries which were ok. Some friends and I stopped here on the way in to the park for an afternoon of hiking. One friend joked that this is the kind of place that people probably get ax-murdered at, and a moment later I pointed out the ax as a door handle - perfect! Store has all the snacks and beverages one might need, and a decent bathroom too. Cafe serves up a yummy cider and the best burgers and curly fries around. Get a Sasquatch burger to keep your tummy from growling on the trails. It's loaded with a 1/2 lb burger, ham, egg, and avocado. YUM! The country store was a random, awesome stop on the way back to Portland from Silver Falls! They have an epic burger challenge for those brave enough but we opted for the "regular" cheeseburger which was quite large itself. The tots were delicious. They also carry Tillamook ice cream which made for a great sunny day drink. The store carries all kinds of local snacks, crafts, camping supplies, and even six packs and mixed drinks. You can drink the six pack you buy on site, you just have to drink them one by one and they keep the beers at the counter until you leave. It was nice chatting with the owners and they brought out a book of Bigfoot sightings visitors have recorded over the years. Definitely recommend for a delicious roadtrip stop especially if you have a Bigfoot story to share! read more

But if you actually speak to staff who are super friendly and easy to talk to or try the food then you will know that this place is a great stop. After hiking at Silver Falls of course we were hungry so said a burger sounds great. Walked in and we were immediately greeted by that flat top smell. Bonus to this country store is there are beers on tap and a decent selection of local brews. We were excited to find some Portland Cider Co. Sangria. We grabbed some bottles and ordered up our cheeseburgers. The burgers were juicy and satisfying. I mean you got that nice flat top char on the patty with some gooey cheese. On our way back from a family hike at Silver Creek Falls we found this gem! We had three hungry boys and ordered hamburgers and pizza. The absolute best burger i have had in a very long time! Everything is home made. The pizza crust was amazing, of course hand made. The place is a local country store with ice cream to snacks to beer to Band-Aids. After hiking 9 miles around the rim trail at silver falls today, my friends and I were STARVING! We stopped to grab a burger. I don't say this lightly, it was quite possibly the best burger I've ever had. Now, that could have been from hiking 9 miles on nothing but goldfish snack crackers and part of a turkey sandwich, or maybe, just maybe, it was actually the best burger ever and I was the lucky creature to enjoy it. Either way, I recommend stopping if you're looking for a delicious bite. Also, they have cold drinks, curly fries, a book of recorded bigfoot sightings, a photo opp where you can pose as baby squatch, and ICE CREAM, so what's not to love?
