I really like this range. I've gone as a guest a few times with friends. The staff are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They have a retail section, private event rooms, a briefing room and an option to rent guns just to try them. I really like the gun rental feature. The only thing is dislike, that they have little control over, is I always end up next to someone shooting a massive and loud gun. The last time their brads was even flying over and hitting me in the face while I was shooting. I wish this range wasn't all the way out in Ashburn and I'd likely become a member otherwise. It's just a tad too far from my place for me to use it often enough to make a membership worth it.

    Clearly my sights are defective.

Very professional, well run, safe. RSIs are very good. Took a class years ago at the former location, and would recommend them to anyone. No macho BS.

The friendly staff, clean facility, ample parking, oh yeah, and awesome ranges make SEG my go to place for weekend shooting. Lots of other folks shooting suppressed on the days I've gone which make the experience even better.

Targets used by a white guest (Left), and the one I used (Right)

SEG's Racism On Full Display!! RSOs and management find it completely fine for another guest, a white woman, to shoot at a life-like paper target of an unarmed Osama Bin Laden, but consider it "against their policy" for me, a black man, to shoot at a life-like paper target of an armed white man during the same shooting time as the white patron. RSO only approached me about my target after the other patron had left and then claimed that they had not seen the other guest shooting the Osama Bin Laden target, which was a lie because the RSO stood behind her, critiqued her shots, and joked with her, and her guest. It's very convenient for SEG to pick and choose when to and for whom they enforce their so-called 'range policies,' which cannot be seen as anything other than a double standard and, yes, racist!

Muzzle device returned by silver eagle

I paid silver eagle to remove a muzzle device. When they returned the muzzle device and upper, the muzzle device was absolutely destroyed (they had clearly used pliers on the tines of the muzzle device, as the tines were bent, twisted, and completely scuffed up). Looking back, it was plainly obvious that they did something wrong, and in retrospect I should have done a more thorough investigation at the time - lesson learned. Their response at the time regarding the muzzle device was, "yeah those MCX muzzle devices are notoriously hard to get off", but they had nothing else to say or add. I later learned (thanks to SIG's armorers) that silver eagle also damaged the barrel, upper, and gas block, and even worse, they attempted to hide the damage by covering up gouges in the barrel - damage that quite literally could have blown up in my face and killed me. When I brought SIG's findings up to silver eagle, they ignored me for over a month, and when they finally responded they tried to blame everybody but themselves, even though no one else, including myself, has ever done any gunsmithing work on the firearm (which I purchased factory new). In summary, I paid silver eagle $80 to cause $500+ damage my firearm and then intentionally put my safety at risk, so needless to say I will never spend another dollar here ever again. If you care at all about your property or your health/life, I strongly recommend, at bare minimum, that you never take a firearm to silver eagle for any gunsmithing/armorers work.

Everything is Five stars at this range. Our group of 5 girls had some new shooters and the staff was amazingly accommodating. We had heard good things but glad they lived up to the hype. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful getting signed in. Reggie back in Merchandise was the star of the day. He gave us the safety course and then helped us pick out what we wanted to rent. The RSO was the most patient and helpful person we could have asked for. The whole establishment was very clean, knowledgeable and fun to be at. We will be going back for sure. For 5 girls, one hour of range time, two range lanes, two guns rented, 4 packs of bullets, it cost around $200. Perfect place to get a beginner started and an experienced shooter practice.

Damn right I support the second amendment, and the gun free zones infringe on law abiding citizens, along with making everyone less safe. This is a awesome store. It has a place to purchase firearms, and I got my Glock .380 mini stunner and think a Glock .45 here too. They are extremely competitive. Plus they really know their firearms. That's very helpful for all levels of experience. Was tempted today by several models, but probably will be back eventually for another. Good ammo prices, so that and some other supplies were obtained. The range here is super fun, well maintained. I applaud the men and women range masters, for being vigilant. Also I love the layout. Generally I prefer an outdoor one. Yet this one is high tech, so there are a lot of options. That makes it worth "having a blast." Also if you're new to firearms, please take classes they, and other responsible places offer. It's okay to be new to the hobby, but learning and safety are connected.

vertical adjustment is on side, but should be on top.

First thing I noticed is that everything is clean, which is really important when you're training in close contact with people, and especially if you ever do any training on the ground. Next, I noticed how friendly all of the students and instructors were. The culture of the place is very welcoming. I can be a bit shy at first, so having people go out of their way to say hello and show me around was pretty great. Lastly, I want to mention the huge amount of knowledge the instructors bring to their students. For instance, the lead instructor, Tammy McCracken, is the Director of the US Women's Division for Krav Maga Global, and she's constantly going to seminars and conferences and the like to learn more about how people can defend themselves. They have created an environment where all people, regardless of size/age/ability, can train together and not feel awkward or like they don't belong. The benefits of making this your regular gym can't be understated - fitness, self defense, friendship, empowerment... the list just keeps going. Love this place!

Initially, I was exploring different martial arts gyms for my 3-year-old daughter. While my daughter was pretty wary and didn't want to commit, I got a really good feeling the first time we observed the class and decided to join - And my gut feeling was right! There are three things that I love most about this gym: 1. People. Everyone, from the professors/coaches to the peers, are wonderful. The professors are all super friendly, approachable, and are always great at answering questions. The peers are respectful and not overly aggressive (in a hurtful-injury kinda way), and the upper belts are always happy to give pointers when asked (or when I look desperately clueless). I'll admit that I find grappling sports extremely intimidating, but everyone at the gym is so kind that I was able to continue going despite feeling super intimidated. Also, there are so many students, but the professors always remember people's names. That's amazing! Big shout out to Professor Dana, Professor Rafael, and Professor Thiago for being awesome. 2. The environment. The physical environment is clean, but more importantly, I find the (non-physical) environment incredibly welcoming. There are areas for kids to hang out when parents are taking classes, plenty of chairs and sofa, and staff are just so, so kind and nice to the kids!! As a mom who's hoping to get her 3-yo interested in bjj, I really appreciate this set up. 3. The classes. There are morning classes, middle-of-the-day classes, evening classes, and Saturday classes. There are classes for kids, teens, adults, and FEMALES. This variety allows me to attend classes with a wonky work schedule and learn from different professors and peers. More importantly, the classes are very organized, such that when I attend classes almost randomly throughout the week, different professors are all teaching similar techniques that build off of a streamlined curriculum, and I don't feel that I must attend classes on a regular schedule (e.g., M/W at 6:30am). I also love that there are position-specific training toward the latter part of every class. It's intimidating, but I learn a lot from these practices! I guess I could go on, but I'll just say that I highly recommend this gym!

I'm not a great fighter at all but muay thai is something I truly love. I look forward to it at the end of the day and see it as something that gives and rejuvenates me rather than taking away from me. Anyways, I came to TAG MT during a business trip and had known about this school already from watching TAG MT youtube instructional vids. I came early and got to see the kids class. It's a great balance of technical drills but also having lots of fun as the reward. The coaches are great and the kids look up to them, fully engaged and are adorable in their big Muay Thai shorts :P Head Instructor Kru Chris Aboy has an amazing personality and teaching style. His encyclopedic knowledge and teaching methodology is phenomenal. He can read each student individually while also making adjustments to the class as a whole depending on where everyone is at with the previous drill. You don't feel left behind at all. Coach James is amazing as well leading the partner drills and demos (for both Kids + Adults). In general, Phase 1 covers fundamental techniques including movement, defense, attacks, and counters through progressive partner drills. Coaches will demo technique, then go around reading students and providing helpful corrections and explaining the reasons why. Calistechnics and shadowboxing in-between rounds really push the conditioning. Controlled sparring drills towards the end adds just enough unpredictability yet retaining safety and technique. Phase 2 builds upon Phase 1 and adds in more advanced drills, focusing on more advanced strategies and technical sparring. For seasoned nak muay, TAG offers an in-depth knowledge and well rounded in all aspects. I really love their elbow/knee/clinch game. Nothing is watered down at all. I learned a LOT of new details to improve my technique is just one session. Most importantly, I felt taken care of and safe the entire time. If you live in the DC Metro Area and are interested in learning Muay Thai, whether it's for self-defense or competition, I strongly suggest checking out TAG Muay Thai. You will learn authentic, pure hard-hitting Muay Thai at TAG, along with the humility and respect of Traditional Muay Thai.

It's taught in an extremely safe way, but still makes the kids feel like ninja superstars! I kind of want to take it myself :D Our daughter also did the summer camp this past summer and she loved it! Another thing that pushes them to the top is that they have Master Hidy Ochiai himself who comes down from New York to do special teachings with the kids each month. This school is in no competition with any other Martial Arts place because it's THAT good! I want to write a novel on here, lol, but I won't. Just one last thing to note: Sensei Winkler himself is AHmazing with the kids too. The way he talks and interacts with the kids makes them listen and have fun. I've sat and watched him a number of times when my daughter is in class. He's structured and fun, which is exactly what my daughter needs!
