Breakfast before a flight. I ordered the Oaxaca omelette and my partner got the Power Breakfast. Neither one of us wanted the cheese so I asked for mine minus pepper jack and they got theirs minus feta. The food arrived with only a brief wait. Oaxaca Omelette - comes with black bean salsa, pepper Jack cheese, salsa roja, cilantro, and chunky avocado/guacamole. It includes whole wheat toast and one side (homefries or fresh fruit). The omelette was very good. The salsa roja has a nice kick and the guac was fresh, chunky and tasty. I got the home fries, which were superb with cooked onions. Even the bread - which was properly toasted - was delicious. The portion of omelette, potatoes and bread was very good. Filling and delish. Power Breakfast - egg white omelette filled with cremini mushrooms, spinach, roasted tomatoes, and feta cheese. It was served with chicken sausage, fresh fruit, and whole wheat toast, but my partner subbed an English muffin. Again, no notes. The omelette was delicious and I even got a positive comment on the chicken sausage. The fruit was cold, fresh and tasty. We ordered only water to drink. The service was friendly and good. We were asked if we wanted water refills (our glasses were not completely empty) when we asked for the check, which is a sign of good service. We had no trouble getting a seat at 8:00 am on a Friday. Service was quick. We were in and out in under 45 minutes (it could have been less but we weren't in a rush).
Nice spot to dine before flight. I was pleasantly suprised by the quality of the food items. The American Favorite: i chose scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries with caramelized onions, buttermilk biscuit....let me say everything was delicious. The way the biscuit was soft and fell apart was a testament to how good it was. The Guava-mint ginger ale was phenomenal!!! They got us settled and the food was quickly prepared without issue. It has been a while since I've had great service at an airport restaurant.
We were really surprised and delighted to find this cute restaurant with a vintage diner theme right in the middle of the Baltimore Airport. The three of us were seated right away, and wiith about an hour until we had to board we figured we would have plenty of time for a good meal. The restaurant had a really good selection on the menu, my son was going to get a turkey sandwich (burger?) and I was really geared up for the "Kickin' Crab and Corn" chowder. We waited and watched while a couple other parties were seated. And we waited. And waited. Two restaurant staff ladies walked by casually, chatting about leaving work early, while we waited. A food runner ran by twice, while we waited. The people in the next booth over were brought extra ranch dressing, while we waited. And we waited, and we waited. No drink order, no "I'll be with you in a minute", no acknowledgement whatsoever from the moment we sat down until nearly 10 minutes later when we got up and left. On our way out, we noticed the two gals who had walked by us several times, they were just sitting out front of the restaurant, having a casual conversation. (This was 8:00 pm on 7/12) Restaurant staff should be reminded that they have a job in a busy international airport, where people are probably hungry or tired or in a rush, or all of the above. One star based on service alone, since we never got to the food. My suggestion: if you have a flight to catch, skip this place.
I stopped in for lunch before my flight on 6/11/26. I was promptly greeted and provided a menu. I ordered the burger sliders with veggies on the side. I thought the menu said that the burgers would come with fried onions but they did not. Everything tasted great and it was a perfect, quick meal before hopping on the plane.
This place is busy! The line may seem long, but it moves quickly. Each booth has a jukebox that takes quarters only a true diner experience. I ordered the crab cake platter and everything was delicious, though the tartar sauce was a bit sweeter than I personally like. Overall, it's a great spot to dine if you have a long layover, just keep in mind that service might be a little slower than usual to accommodate the large crowds.
Diner Notes Local Mid-Atlantic chain of restaurants that's been in operation for nearly forty years (ca. 1989), and the currently operate 23 restaurants in the NJ, MD, VA, & DC areas. They're known for their classic American fare using seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients from small, mom-and-pop purveyors. We arrived at this BWI location after a red-eye flight** from Cali and were exhausted and starving. The Good: *I wish I could recall our server's name (wasn't on the receipt fwiw) but she was an older black lady and she was terrific. *Prices were actually fairly reasonable for an airport restaurant. *Crab Omelette was delicious, and I really enjoyed the corn that went with the crab very well. Interesting combo I've never tried before. *Carissa enjoyed her Power Breakfast, which looked more like a salad than a scramble to me, but hey whatever. The Meh: *They have a jukebox at the table, but either I was completely out of it (very possible) or they didn't work properly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Ugly: *I don't know why, but I desperately wanted a beer after that long red-eye flight across the country but got turned down because it "wasn't after six a.m. yet." *pbbbbt* I thought this was America, BROTHERRRRR???!!! 0_O Conclusion: Good breakfast, decent prices, and friendly service. Recommended. **side note: if you can ever avoid doing a red-eye, then seriously don't do it. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend.
Late review ... came here during Spring Break travel and right after the TSA line debacles. We had to wait a little bit to get inside, it was early in the morning. I had a burger and my husband and daughter had breakfast dishes. It was cute inside and the food was pretty good.
My flight was late, so after going through TSA, this restaurant was right in front of me. I could eat so I popped in to grab some brunch. Although I was seated immediately, It took quite some time for a server to come and introduce themselves to me. I had actually contemplated leaving, when one showed up. I ordered pancakes, eggs and asked her which was the best meat choice. She said bacon so that's what I ordered. Pancakes were not good at all and were a little...... not sure how to explain them, but difficult to cut; so a little tough. There was one good thing they were served with a bottle of warm syrup. However, the pancakes would not absorb the syrup. It just rolled off. The bacon was good, but greasy and I asked for eggs scrambled soft and they were close so I didn't send them back. I ate them. Suffice it to say I would not return, because I was not impressed. I did not take... oh I think I took one picture.
. I was honestly excited when I saw a Silver Diner inside the Baltimore Airport because I had eaten twice at the Harbor location in Oxon Hill, MD during vacation and absolutely loved it there. The Harbor location delivered flavorful food, buttery melt-in-your-mouth pancakes, excellent brunch options, and an overall experience that made me intentionally return a second time. Unfortunately, the airport location was a complete disappointment and nowhere near the same quality. The menu options were limited, there was no turkey bacon available, the food arrived cold, and everything lacked flavor. The onions were not caramelized at all, and even the pancakes tasted plain and uninspired compared to the Harbor location. What stood out most was the inconsistency between locations. As someone with a culinary and food service background, it was obvious there are no true standardized recipes or quality controls being followed. It honestly felt like the Harbor location has chefs behind the line while the airport location simply has cooks preparing food as quickly as possible. The service itself was still good and the staff was polite, which is the reason for the second star. But overall, what started as excitement quickly turned into disappointment. Same restaurant name, completely different experience.
This place was packed at 7 am on Monday morning. The service was good. She was very pleasant and friendly. This restaurant has the farm to table concept. I ordered the Power Breakfast: Egg whites topped with cremini mushrooms, spinach, roasted tomatoes, feta, turkey bacon, fresh strawberries and fruit, whole wheat toast. Delicious. A great way to start the morning and travel.
My wife and often fly Southwest. That being the case, we were making a connection in Baltimore on May 31st. Since we had a two hour layover, we thought to have dinner at the Silver Diner, an establishment we often patronize. Since we saw no "Seat Yourself" or "Wait for Hostess" sign, we walked in and started to take a table. The bartender leaned over and said, "Those tables are no longer available." Okay, no worries. I asked her if a hostess was available to seat us then. She said no. Then I said, "So, we're supposed to just guess then?" She just laughed and said nothing. So, I told my wife, "We're not eating here." This happened at about 8:30. At a little after nine, I saw two traffic cones. Too late, Silver Diner. While you'll stay in business, I'm sure, you'll never see us again. UPDATE: Rob from Customer Relations contacted me in a very timely fashion. I appreciate the stand-up response.
We were flying out of the airport on an early morning flight and decided to stop here for some breakfast. It is a very big diner so they can accommodate a lot of people. The hostess was quick with a lot of energy. The menu had a lot of standard breakfast items. I went with the Denver omelet. It had ham, cheese, onions and green peppers. It was a very big omelet. It also came with a biscuit and either home fries or a fruit cup. I went with the home fries because they came with caramelized onions. My husband got pancakes, eggs and bacon. We both enjoyed our meals.
We decided to go for a big meal prior to our flight across the country, and were SO happy we chose Silver Diner in BWI. First off, our waitress Siobhan was awesome. She was patient and super helpful. We each decided on the hickory smokehouse cheddar burger with sweet potato fries on the side. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the fries were amazing- and how fun Siobhan brought out all the sauces to try! We had a great time. I also got a sundae to go and it was delicious. Highly recommend! Well definitely pop back in here next time we fly out of BWI.

We've eaten here twice. The food is always delicious. Even though it's a restaurant in an airport the service isn't exactly quick. If you have less than man hour, don't eat here. Good service and good food! read more

As a weekly business traveler I'm always in search of delicious food on the go. Sadly most airport food these days barely passes as edible. Silver Diner at BWI airport surprisingly hits the mark. Fast, tasty, and friendly service - you've got to stop here if you're hungry and have the time. When I'm flying through BWI Jeff at the bar always takes care of me. He's truly a first class customer service gentlemen. Today I had the Breakfast Tacos which I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this dish if savory fits your palate. For those trying to make your flight, ordering at the bar is pretty fast. They usually get the food out in about 10-15 minutes. read more

Came in to eat 6.27.21. 1730 hours. Typically not a big fan of $16 burgers but mine was worth it - bleu burger and fries. Ice tea was great too (refill slow tho) Tried to order dessert and shake and the location is not serving desserts or shakes - what sense does that make ? The bill goes down, tips go down, and people could take it to go on the plane - so decisions to cease desserts not good. Chocolate chip pancakes for the little one was great for her - so another plus Lost a star for the late refill and no desserts read more

I end up having connections at BWI airport often and find that i end up dining here often to have a bite and hang out before i board my flight. It has a 1950's vibe and every table has a jukebox and you put a couple of quarters in and hear it play which is a fun diversion to pass the time I ordered their farmers skillet which is scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and cheddar and served with toast. It was ok, my scrambled eggs were a bit over cooked but not enough to say something to my server to have it fixed. I took a star off because the table they seated at appeared clean but was sticky all over top and their was hot sauce on the table to use as a condiment but it was missing a top and i kept seeing flies land on it which is just kind of gross. However this is something they can easily fix and it wont keep me from returning. This something that i also could have said something about but sometimes when you are traveling you are so tired you dont want to make a fuss you just want to sit and rest. My experience was ok and it wont keep me from returning read more

Food: 4 of 5 - I ordered the chicken pickled sandwich. Very big portion as it came with two fried chicken patties; a side of coleslaw and thin cut fries. The flavor was really good. Service: 5 of 5 - We walked in from the back and we were greeted by one of the bus service members; he was very pleasant and sat us at a table and brought menu's and notified our server we were there. - Our server was very nice and courteous - She came to the table many times to check on us and refill our drinks. Ambiance: 4 of 5 - Setup in an old fashioned diner - Restaurant was clean; table was clean; silverware was brought to the table in a small bag that fit the silverware. read more

Looking for a sit-down meal in the airport to enjoy while on a layover, then ride is your place. Located in Terminal B, this is the perfect place to gather yourself and step back in time to the diner world. Simpler times but not simpler food, this menu has something for everyone. And the menu is available all day. While not being the best food you will have it is enough to keep you going. Tips to make your visit a success: 1) Break free of conventional norms. Don't be afraid to get breakfast at night or a bison burger for breakfast. No one will judge your choices. 2) Embrace the atmosphere. Old timey feel is more than just decorations. From the seats to the juke boxes, they pull out the stops. Check out their music selections on the individual table jukebox, if that doesn't make you wax nostalgia, what will? If you're in BWI Terminal B, stop by and enjoy. read more
Had a 2 hour layover at the Baltimore (BWI) airport so I stopped in this place for a bite to eat. I sat in the bar area which had outlets where you can charge your electronic devices (yay!). I ordered the crab cake platter which came with 2 crab cakes, coleslaw and fries. I was impressed with how fast my food arrived and it was piping hot! Everything was very fresh and tasty and you got a nice amount of food. There was a full bar but I only had a Coke. The bartender was very polite and attentive. It was a good choice to spend a little time during my layover. read more

If you're in the airport for awhile and hungry, this is a nice place to sit, relax and have breakfast. I did the basic eggs and protein. Served in a timely manner and hot and delicious. The coffee is a good choice too. I chose a counter seat as I was alone. read more

Solid eats for travelers on the go. Had a tasty burger. Cooked to order, still juicy, and filling. Loved their fries--sweet potato or regular. Added a mint shake to get that full classic diner feel. Service was friendly and prompt. BWI offers lots of dining options. Silver Diner comes through when you know you're going to pay airport prices but still want a tasty menu. read more

We wait for the hostess and she is on her phone sitting down. We tell her we are a table of 4. She says seat yourself. We ask where do we get the menus. She says under the desk. We we grab our own. First seat we sit at another girl says the area is closed. We move to another area and she says they aren't seating people. To go only. The gentleman who appears to be a manager states that we can only sit at the bar with little kids. Even thought 8 tables are open around us in various locations with people sitting throughout the entire restaurant. It's 2pm and maybe they are closing. The food looks great. We decided to leave because it's hard to have kids. The ground was a little too dirty to put all of our stuff and stand. I'm sure if maybe they had more people we could have sit down. read more

After a 4.5 hour flight back to US- couldn't of found a better place to eat. Sheryl our server couldn't have been more polite- she knew the menu, made great recommendation and had the best smile which was contagious. Took her reconditions Old Bay Wings- were excellent and Maryland Crab Cakes Platter was awesome! My wife got the Chicken Sandwich- loved it and friends ordered burger. I've been to this diner 20+times and it never disappoints. Thanks again! See u next time at Baltimore airport! read more

What an amazing travel day. My daughter and I stopped in during our layover and I had to convince her to stop and eat. She was ready to go to a place where the food is warmed in the microwave. So glad she understood Momma knows best! This diner is super busy everyone knows their role and they play it well. I love watching a well trained kitchen. I don't normally review airport restaurants, but this is a must stop. The food options are large and delicious. Best chicken tenders I've ever had-seriously. Enjoyed a strawberry lemon drop- amazing. Located inside the BWI airport. Takes both cash and credit card. Please note there is a separate line for take outs from the dining area. We came here to grab lunch before our flight and thought we give this place a try. You can order any item on their regular menu as take out. We went ahead and ordered their fish tacos and the beyond meat burger. The fish tacos came in two and the fish was breaded. It came with a fresh fruit salad so that was really good balance. The fish taco itself was okay. The sauce on the fish was alright. Nothing too special. Might taste better if it was grilled rather than fried / breaded. The beyond meat burger was the highlight of my meal. Comes with a side of fries. The burger was packed with flavor. Had beans and guacamole which definitely packed a punch in a good way. I would definitely recommend their beyond meat burger. The pricing was a bit high, but it was worth the experience. The staff here are friendly and it will take some time for your order to get ready. So if you need a quick bite, this place is a good option if you have to wait at the airport for your flight. read more
