Last time he went to silver creek bbq, I wasn't eating meat, so of course i said yes this time. I wanted to order enough food for the hubby to have some when he got home, so I got the combo above. The meats were good. There aren't many bbq spots in the area, so I appreciate this being an option. The chicken was moist and smoky. The brisket depended on which cut you grabbed. Some were chewy and dry, some were fatty and juicy. teh bbq sauces were okay. I like a nice spicy one and we didn't any with much heat. Sides are small, but they come with the combo so it was fine. It's so nice to have a good BBQ spot in the area! They converted the old patio from the last two restaurants that were in this space into a spot where one really wants to hang out at. Love that there a bit of an area where it has a mini-Biergarten feel. We've enjoyed almost all the meats so far too. The whole fam loves the ribs and tri tip. My growing teenage son absolutely LOVES the BBQ Spud with Tri Tip - it's a mega potato super loaded with everything then add a choice of meat. I personally can no longer handle to calories in it so it for the salad. The Spicy BBQ sauce is also a must-get for us too. Overall, it's been a new go-to for us!
I'm a couple weeks late on this reviews. We decided to try Silver Creek BBQ after hearing about their gift card deal--you buy a $60 card for $50. While we found out you can't use it the same day, it still got us in the door to check out the BBQ. Now let's dive in! Food (4 stars) + The three-meat combo was smoky and flavorful, especially with the spicy BBQ sauce. Ribs were almost fall-off-the-bone, and burnt ends were just right. + Brisket was solid, though we mainly got it as one of our 3 meats just for the kids. I saw people having tri-tip and it looks amazing. + The kids' meals hit the spot as you get 1 side and a choice of meat for about $10. ~ Hot link as a side was OK. I don't think I'd get it again. - Gift card deal didn't work same day, which was a small letdown. Service/Ambiance (4 stars) + Casual, semi self-serve style, but staff were helpful if we needed anything extra. + Ambiance is a fun, country BBQ feel. They even had free little mints at the end, which the kids loved. Overall, a tasty meal and a good spot if you're craving BBQ.
I've been more than 5x now and all I can say is when you go to Silver Creek Barbeque, Come Hungry and Leave Happy! :D This place is super family friendly, the workers are really approachable to talk to and will give you their thoughts and recommendations on ciders, beer, meat, etc. There are definitely people who are regulars and this joint. Wouldn't blame them- the food and ambiance is that welcoming and tasty! My favorite foods to get: * Baked Potato (i can eat the whole thing and feel satisfied) * Brisket and Tri-Tip (need i say more?) * Mac N' Cheese ( 3x daily pretty please?) * Garlic Bread + Cornbread (i can't choose!) My favorite ciders: (TLDR i like fruity and sweet drinks) * Pineapple cider * Pear cider * (whatever cider they got on tap, let's goo!!) I've been wanting to find a good BBQ spot in the area and this one kept coming up on social media. It definitely hit the spot and satisfied a BBQ craving post-hike, but objectively I'd say it was just OK. I like the variety of meat and sides and the different combo / ordering options. I ordered the brisket and pulled pork with corn bread, mac n cheese and coleslaw; my boyfriend ordered the hot sausage and brisket with corn bread, beans and potato salad. First, the serving sizes of meat were generous and the sides were reasonable (sometimes I feel like BBQ sides are huge, but these were great for a combo plate). In general, I felt the meats were a little tough and a little dry, but I did enjoy them with the spicy BBQ sauce and hot vinegar sauce on the side. I loved the mac n cheese, which seemed a little more like light Alfredo or cream sauce, and the coleslaw was pretty standard. My boyfriend liked the hot sausage, the beans had a bit of a kick, and thought the potato salad was a little bland. The food came out pretty quickly and we really enjoyed sitting out on the patio. This would definitely be a fun spot for a larger group!
The person who took my order was AWESOME. She was super informative and patient with my partner and I. We ended up getting a sandwich, a baked potato, cornbread, and coleslaw. Overall, the Sandwich with Pulled Pork was okay, it was a little on the saltier side. I wish we would've drizzled the honey to cut the salt. The coleslaw was delicious, no notes. Cornbread was coo, but I wish it was warmed up and steaming!!! Ya kno?? The inside was super nice and comfortable. I would come back to try something else to see if there are any improvements
The meats were flavorful, tender, and had a nice smoky taste. Really liked the tri tip more than the brisket. The sides hit too.. especially the beans and potato salad!! Portions were solid for the price and everything came out fresh and hot Service was friendly and the food came out pretty quick. Casual spot with a chill atmosphere and definitely will come back again to try more items on the menu
I enjoyed the BBQ! I got the brisket and it was fatty and goood loving. The place was pretty standard to other bbq places around the bay! Mint chocolate with the meal, spicy or regular bbq sauce, and soda brand! Ambiance was quite nice, I enjoyed the option of the outside greenery sitting area with the small Service was fine. One thing I noted was my friend and I had different sizes of garlic bread which was unfortunate! My was really thin compared to his, which would be great if they could keep it consistent.
Finally a great BBQ spot in the Evergreen area! I've only gone here twice, and I honestly plan on coming back. The restaurant is in the corner of the plaza, and has great options for seating - both indoors and outdoors. I prefer their outdoor dining area as it's very open and a tad bit more spacious. There's also corn hole and a large connect four in the area for entertainment. The staff here are incredibly kind and quick to answer any questions you have. They are fun to talk to and really makes you feel welcomed. OKAY THE FOOD: * Brisket: holy heck is this yummy. You honestly don't need to pair it with their BBQ sauce, it's pretty good on its own. Definitely my favorite meat cut here. * Tri Tip: a banger. It's not too dry, and pretty tasty. I like to pair this with their BBQ sauce- you can't really go wrong with this. * Mac and Cheese: get the pint and go to town LOL. My nieces and nephew LOVES this side, and I also love this side. It's a classic! * Coleslaw: I love the fact that their coleslaw isn't too runny and not incredibly tangy. I have gotten coleslaw both times, and I plan on continuing that tradition.
Came here in a Friday night. Crowded and busy. We were lucky that a family of four offered us their table indoors as they were leaving. There is lots of space outdoors as well with picnic tables and garden games. We ordered the large Brisket meal which included 2 sides. Perfect because I wanted the cole slaw and our son wanted the Mac n cheese. Both very satisfying. The brisket was so soft and tender. Very juicy which we enjoyed with the complementary BBQ sauce. Our son said the spicy BBQ sauce wasn't too spicy at all. So that was good. He tried both. It was a very satisfying dinner for a quick meal. Was able to order a small bottle of Chardonnay.

I LOVED IT I got the 2 meat combo (pork ribs/burnt ends) which comes with 2 sides (coleslaw/Mac&cheese) and a stubborn cola. Ok I gotta talk about the burnt ends!!!!! They're so good and theyre great leftovers to incorporate into a scramble the next day The ribs reminded me why I like ribs. Smooth, simple, easy. Honestly you don't need the sauce but if you gotta have it, their house sauces are to. die. for. The original is tangy but smooth and it paired well with the thin meat stuck to the bone. Sucking both down made me a happy gal! My sister was partial to the spicy sauce. Put a smile on her face that didn't leave until a few hrs after we got home. The coleslaw is exactly what a coleslaw should be. Its creamy cabbage cuts through the heavy tastes of the meats which works as a great pallette cleanser. I was very excited to bring it home. Now for the Mac&cheese I will say that it was better the next day when it had more time to settle with it's cheesy taste. If it had tasted like it did on the second day on my first bite I would be laying my life down for it but because it needed more time I'll just say that the baked potato (not pictured) cured my depression and cleared my face. Not pictured my sisters food which was delicious and her sides were mine as well. Tried to steal her beans but ended up going spoonful per spoonful. Hard to be equitable when everything there makes me wanna be greedy. Their soda machine was a thing of beauty! I have never had a stubborn cola before but if my funeral were tomorrow bury me with it. Nothing has brought me more satisfaction than that the perfect carbonated taste of cola AND IT CAME FROM A FOUNTAIN MACHINE!!!! it's true I drank trice to verify the taste and each time IT SLAPPED. We went during their first week of opening so maybe due to how busy they were it impacted quality? Not sure so I would be willing to try again. Friendly service at counter to order and receive food. Ordered a cider and after it filled halfway it ran out so they gave to me for free. Thought that was nice. Had a majorly long line but after 25 min or so we got in. It is small inside and has a patio area but not too much seating. Lots of people brought kids and pets. Food was just ok, not bad but just ok bbq I've had. I will say the bread pudding dessert was so good , never had anything like it. The potato salad was kinda bland unfortunately. Mac n cheese was average. Cornbread was also just ok, kinda was hoping for it to not fall apart as easily. I would like to try again and see if quality is better second time around. read more
Pretty good bbq spot. I didn't realize the burger spot here closed down as it was pretty good, but I enjoyed this place. Prices pretty fair and quality and options were good. Really enjoyed the tri tip. If you like bbq, it's a worthy addition to San Jose. read more

We got the 2 meat platter ribs & tri tip Rib sweet and savory Trip tip not too dry and soft Mac n cheese was light and good choice of noodles Pickles veggies weren't pickled enough Corn bread light but yum! Must try their spicy bbq sauce Came out pretty fast! read more

The place is a bit small, which is an issue because of how popular they can be during rush hours! However small, they have very attentive staff and bus tables quickly. Ordering is a breeze at the counter, they are very knowledgeable of what's still in stock. And the bbq smacks! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the brisket, tri tip, pulled pork, and ribs! Come during the weekday lunch hours if you want to sit! A new BBQ spot just opened in the neighborhood! We decided to try it on a Friday night after I noticed crowds gathering outside on my drive home. This was the place to be! When we arrived for dinner, a long line had already formed at the register, and every table, both inside and out, was taken. I noticed an empty grass area, where I would consider sitting and enjoying the food if we couldn't find a seat. Thankfully, our girls managed to grab an empty table while we placed our order. The staff was friendly, and our food arrived at the table surprisingly quickly. We ordered a full rack of St. Louis-style BBQ ribs, which everyone loved--they were finger-lickin' good! Someone pointed out the lack of sauce, but I didn't miss it at all. Unfortunately, the sides were disappointing. The cornbread was decent, especially with a drizzle of honey, but the coleslaw was below average, and the beans were the worst we've had--bland and unappetizing. On the bright side, the cider (the only one available) was delicious and almost made up for the beans. I'd happily return for the ribs, but I hope the sides improve next time. read more

I ordered a combo plate with pulled pork, tri tip and ribs, along with mac and cheese and coleslaw on the side, plus an extra order of fries. The ribs were definitely the standout. They were tender and flavorful. The tri tip were okay. The pulled pork was dry and my least favorite. The sides were decent. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and find a table. It's a good spot for a casual meal. I could see myself coming back if I'm ever in the mood for barbecue. read more
The workers here are nice and friendly. Come early items can sale out. They have a nice outdoor seating area with cactus around so make sure your kids don't touch it. Even have connect 4 to play with The food here taste so familiar like BBQ Pit, I don't know if their the same owner. I got the two meat combo and I can say the brisket and tri-tip taste so delicious that you don't event need sauce. Their bread pudding tastes so good, not very sweet with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I'm not a fan of mac and cheese and cole slaw. read more
I was super excited to see a family-run restaurant open in the neighborhood--especially a BBQ spot, since there really isn't one nearby. I really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the overall vibe leans more toward fast-casual barbecue. My meal was really good, and I especially loved the portion size of the potato. My only gripe was that the chicken on top of the potato was a bit cold, which was surprising. That said, it definitely wouldn't deter me from coming back--I'm already looking forward to my next visit. read more
Final Thoughts: 2.00/5.0 Looks to be a barbeque place that just opened up within the Evergreen Area. The crowd here had me believe that I would love the food and I really did want to. There were just a few factors that contributed to this experience overall though. Will have to be a 2 star for me today. Food: Combo: 3 Meats + 2 sides and a slice of bread My friends and I decided to get the 3 meat combo. That, combined with 3 other sides was an optimal sized meal between my two friends and I. Pulled Pork: 3.0/5 This meat was very tender. These cuts of meat are quite nice. For the flavor, I thought it was a little too salty for my liking. Also seemed very one dimensional with the flavor because it seemed to just be salt? May have just needed another item to be eaten with it, but alone, it was very plain. Tri-Tip: 2.0/5 Hmm...kind of dry. The meat looks lean, so I'll attribute some of that to the cut of the meat. Perhaps this meat just isn't for me because it was just so much lean protein and maybe it would have been better with another starch or carb. The temperature seems to contribute to this too because our whole tray was just warm at best. Nothing seemed freshly made, but mostly pulled from a warmer after being cooked there for a while. Seasoning didn't impress me either. It felt like just some salt seasoned on top, which isn't very ideal for my taste and flavor palate. Pork Ribs: 3.5/5 My favorite protein on this tray. Sauce was good and like this barbeque sauce. The flavor leans more on being on the sweet side, which is how I like it. Meat was tender and easy to take off the bone. Slightly messy, so have the napkins ready. I used a fork and it was also quite easy to just take off. It's not falling off the bone or anything, but no concerns with it being tough. Mac & Cheese: 4.0/5 This was also something that I enjoyed. Perhaps I prefer the sides and the carbs more than the meats. The flavor of the cheeses used were nice and sharp, but not too overpowering. Potato Salad: 3.8/5 Their potato salad had a nice seasoning to it. I liked the fresh onions added. It wasn't too overpowering, but complimented the remainder of the potato salad well. The flavor was quite nice and balanced. Had some umami and saltiness to it. Something I like are the seasonings and herbs that are added to it. There's this freshness and is much needed as a starch when there's this much protein and meat on a tray. Garlic Bread: 2.0/5 This bread looked so sad on the tray. I thought this item was so simple, but it tastes amazing. Not the case here. It was somewhat crispy, very warm, and lacking in flavor. Garlic seems to have a strong flavor profile to it, so for this bread to lack on flavor, texture, and all other fronts is quite disappointing. Menu: Always Missing Something There is always an item missing from their menu. I've only been here once and I was excited to try everything that other people have advertised and hyped up. When we got here, they really didn't have any of those items. This included the corn bread, burnt ends, or brisket. My recommendation is to at least cross out those items on the menu or have a sign noted at the front on the items that are currently out of stock. You don't find out until you pay and that slows the flow of traffic. My friend has been here multiple times. From what I've heard, you might want to have your choices and plans from A to Z because their menu has never been fully stocked any time he's gone there. --------- Quality: Warm When the food came to the table, they were just warm and not hot at all. It seemed like everything wasn't even sitting inside of a warmer or on a tray line. Not the best first impression. Perhaps they were busy this day. My friends have had a "better" ish experience before, so perhaps I can give them the benefit of the doubt on this day. Price: Varies Will depend on what you get. For the meat combo that we got today, the price was fairly affordable. Large price range of $20 to $30 for the mains plus around $4 for sides. Service: Limited Interactions You just order in the front and then they'll call for you to get your tray in the front. Something I do note is how long it takes for a table to be cleaned so that other customers can sit. They have a decent amount of customers and this seemed to be quite a popular place, so I would expect more attentiveness with clearing tables for the upcoming customers. Ambiance: Backyard BBQ This place is giving me a backyard BBQ vibe. Very lively inside and out, which I like. The crowd is nice, music choice is right, and the food is just very fitting for this kind of environment. Location/Parking: Small/Optimal Parking This plaza is in a relatively more secluded area. It's in the plaza on San Felipe Rd and Yerba Buena Rd. Plaza is quite small and the parking is within this space. Seems to be enough given this plaza size. read more

This new spot is bringing in big crowds! I managed to come at a good time. The line wasn't out the door yet. Line went pretty fast though and I was able to get a table easily. I ordered the brisket combo and the berry blue salad. The brisket comes with 3 slices I believe. It was delicious, super tender and not overly salted.. The mac n cheese was bland, but the beans were good. The salad was huge! I didn't eat even a quarter of it, so I packed it up. It hardly fit in the container. The cashier recommended the raspberry vinaigrette, which was a great recommendation. It paired with salad really well. Prices are decent, service is quick, and bbq is delicious. Great bbq spot to visit when in San Jose! We got in just in time before the evening rush. There is indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating as well. Altogether they have a wonderful place for dining. We tried a variety of meats and everything was good! All excellent cuts that were really flavorful and smoked perfectly. They have a craft soda machine and a great variety of local Bay Area craft beers to choose from. Surprisingly they even offer a few specialty cocktails and have a nice little L shaped bar with seating. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly, specially Andrew who was behind the bar. I thought their burnt ends were fantastic. Fatty, crispy, smoked, and a nice thick glazed sauce that made it melt in your mouth. Their bbq sauce that you can get on the side were great for dipping the two sides included in the meal. I got Mac and cheese and fries as my sides, but the meal also includes your choice of cornbread or garlic bread. The sides were a bit of a let down. The fries were kinda soggy, the Mac was a touch overcooked which was too soft, and the Mac had a very mild flavor which is fine if that's what you like. The cornbread had 0 corn flavor and was kinda was just a transport for the sauce. My coworker got beans as their side and was not thrilled with its texture being almost half refried beans and half whole beans. For the price, this was a good value. My coworker got two meats meal for $26 and I got mine for $20. Easily enough to feed you twice. The half salad with meat was around $14 and was massive! This is where the value is. Overall, I think I'd come back for the bbq but skip the sides. I'd be excited to try their brisket and ribs next time. read more

The Evergreen hills area has been needing a local hub hangout like this for a while now. I was happy to hear a new BBQ spot just opened its doors to glowing reviews. We arrived on a Saturday evening for dinner recently. Silver Creek BBQ is located in a nice plaza in the Evergreen area off San Felipe Road. Parking is accessible in the large parking lot. Funny Farm restaurant use to occupy this space for a few years before. The BBQ spot has a radiant modern decor. The vibe is family friendly and buzzing with energy. There is a full bar with plenty of bar stools. The outdoor patio with plenty of picnic tables for larger groups looks inviting and spacious. We ordered a 1/2 pound of brisket, 1/2 pound of tri- tip, side of mac and cheese, side of coleslaw, side of French fries, piece of garlic bread, and a mini bottle of Chardonnay. Everything was delicious. My favorite dish was the brisket. It was juicy and tender. The tri-tip was chewy but flavorful. Coleslaw was bland. Fries were crispy and good. Finally both the spicy and regular BBQ sauce went very well with everything. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Silver Creek BBQ. The staff were friendly and helpful. The 1/2 pound of meat portions was a fair amount. The selection of local draft beer and cocktails is solid. We hope to be back with friends and family during the summer. read more
I was so excited when Silver Creek BBQ opened nearby, and I finally got to try it today! We ordered the ribs, brisket, and l tri tip, and every single meat was moist, tender, and perfectly prepared with the fat well trimmed. You have to try the sides, they are all fantastic. They also have a great selection of draft beers and sodas. For dessert, the berry cobbler was a highlight, though I already have my eye on the bread pudding for next time! The atmosphere is clean with a perfect BBQ vibe, and the outside seating is warm & inviting. The staffs were decent and the lady taking our orders was pleasant. I went on a Thursday evening and there was a line but the wait wasn't too long. The longer wait was for the food so I wouldn't recommend if you're expecting the food to come out right away or take away asap. If you're doing to go I'd recommend to call in. Since it was the evening not burnt ends, I'm sure they're only available when they open so a first come first serve like usual BBQ joints for special cuts. The ribs were super flavorful and I didn't even need the bbq sauce for the ribs. Nice and tender. Tri-tip, my first time getting it at a bbq and it wasn't the most tender but depending on the piece you got. Brisket, wow the fatty parts of the brisket was tender. Leaner parts well it's lean for a reason haha. Hot link has a kick to it, not sure if it's cause of how it's cut but missing the snap from the casing. I'd highly recommend the potato salad it's not what you expect and I like that it's not like your traditional one drowned in mayo. The Mac and cheese was also my favorite it helps balance the meat and the meal together. I was also a big fan of the corn bread they made their sides very complementary to the bbq meats. Overall for a bbq in sj I would totally come back and would like to try other items and sides. Come give a try at Silvercreek BBQ. read more
Found out about a BBQ joint near work. And the bonus is that they open at 7am for breakfast. My personal goal of gaining muscles require protein for breakfast so that I can workout at noon. Also my A1C is high, people recommend not to eat dessert/starch first thing in the morning. So a breakfast taco of egg and meat for $5.25 is perfect for me! Been here twice and both times were great. Their brisket was very tender. The ribs were the best. Food always came out super fast. The atmosphere is very welcoming. You order at the counter and pick it up when it's ready. This will be a repeat spot for me. read more

I tried another location earlier and wanted to check out this one in the Silver Creek area too. I'm really glad I came during lunch and not dinner because I was finally able to try the burnt ends! I ordered the 4-meat combo with burnt ends, brisket, tri-tip, and pork ribs. For sides, I got the potato salad and fries, and I chose cornbread. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the cornbread, I think the garlic bread is way better. The burnt ends and brisket were definitely the highlight. The seasoning and sauce were spectacular, super flavorful and just done right. The brisket also stood out with a really nice layer of seasoning, and pairing it with the spicy BBQ sauce was honestly immaculate. My only downside (same as the other location) is that the meat isn't really hot or fresh when it comes out, it's more on the room temperature side, which is a bit disappointing. I'm hoping to catch it fresh and hot next time because I know it would make a big difference. The outdoor seating area is really nice, and overall I still enjoyed my visit. I definitely want to come back to try more items, especially the baked potato! read more

So glad to finally have a great BBQ spot in this location! They completely redid the outdoor patio area and turned it into an amazing place to hang out. It has a beautiful, relaxing vibe with a creek running through the property, soft country/rock music playing, a mini-biergarten feel, and even a cornhole setup that kept the kids entertained while we smelled the huge smoker. Food-wise, the meats are incredible. We tried the brisket, pork ribs, chicken, and jalapeño cheddar sausage--everything was super tender, packed with flavor, and honestly didn't even need extra sauce (though their spicy BBQ sauce is really good). The tri-tip sandwich is also a must-try. For sides, the mac and cheese and potato salad were hits, but the coleslaw was a bit of a letdown and lacked flavor. Also, just a heads-up on the menu: if you're looking for an NC-style vinegar wash pulled pork, the "BBQ Pork" sandwich defaults to a standard sweet/smoky sauce, which can be a little confusing. read more

We went to go check out Silver Creek Barbeque because everyone has been talking about it! It's where the Funny Farm or Pasta Pomodoro used to be on San Felipe Rd. in Evergreen. I like the new set-up, decor and vibe! They have a nice patio area and it will be a great place to go with friends during the Summer. However, I have to say, I didn't love the food. The BBQ wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The meats were dry, the was salad fresh. All the sides were just okay and some pretty blah and the corn bread was strange. I still love Smoking Pig meats and especially their sides and Winchester BBQ has the juiciest tastiest meats but limited sides. After all that I'd probably still go back just to hang out because I do like the atmosphere. read more

Great vibes for this place! Came here on a Friday night for dinner with the fam and I was very surprised by how crowded it was - I def came at peak dinner hours but luckily we were still able to find an outside table for us and dog. Got the family pack w the tri tip and pork ribs as well as an extra pound of brisket and a loaf of cornbread. For sides we chose French fries and Mac n cheese. Tri tip - perfectly tender legit fell off the fork moment was very good!! Brisket - nice and Smokey and veryyy soft Pork ribs - my personal favorite this was perfectly sweet and savory and soooo soft!! I def enjoyed this the most Corn bread - tbh a pass for me - I prefer a softer melt in your mouth type corn bread this one was not as soft as o usually like - the table had the same thought and we had a bunch of this left over Mac n cheese - ur basic Mac n cheese nothing special to note Fries - just your standard homemade fries nothing that special The guava cider on tap was sooooo good. I believe it's from two towns cider house!!! I'm so happy to find a place with cider on tap as I love a good hard cider. Tried Silver Creek Barbeque after some friends who are local to South Bay wanted to try it. Honestly it was OK. I ordered the two meat combo with tri-tip and brisket and chose a baked potato & potato salad as my sides. Honestly the Tri-tip was good and very tender but the brisket seemed pretty dry and was only tolerable with the BBQ sauce they provide. My favorite is their spicy BBQ sauce! Being a new hyped up restaurant in San Jose it was expected for it to be pretty packed on the weekend so my large party had to sit in different areas which was no issue at all. In one of my orders I ordered Mac & Cheese as my side but received coleslaw, a kind worker quickly resolved the issue and brought me out the correct side within seconds after addressing the issue, just shows how much they care even during a busy rush!! read more
Came here on a weekend around 3pm and it was busy, but not nearly as intense as when I first tried on a Friday night -- the line was literally out to the parking lot and we ended up leaving. By around 3:30pm, the line started picking up again, so timing definitely matters. They also just recently opened, which definitely explains the crowds and hype. You order at the counter (to-go or dine-in), with both indoor and outdoor seating available. There's a self-serve BBQ sauce station with regular and spicy options. I appreciated that there was always someone bussing tables to keep things moving. Food came out pretty quickly- about 10-15 minutes after ordering. Impressive given how busy it gets. The atmosphere is lively, and the restrooms were clean, which is always a plus. I ordered the 2 meat combo with 2 sides + a hot link, but unfortunately they were out of brisket, burnt ends, and cornbread. All things I was hoping to try as a first timer.. Just gives me a reason to come back! Let's talk food: - Tri tip: One of my favorites here. Tender, juicy, and not overly salty. Paired with the spicy BBQ sauce, it's even better. Would absolutely order again. - Ribs: Not fall-off-the-bone, but also not tough. Flavor was solid, though I've had better elsewhere. - Hot link: Surprisingly one of my favorites. Actually spicy with a satisfying snap and more meaty than fatty. - Mac & cheese: Don't judge it at first glance. It looks a little dry, but once you mix it, it's super creamy and flavorful. I loved the savory white cheese base (my preference). No crispy baked top like I'm used to but still very good. - Potato salad: Nice BBQ seasoning with good-sized potato chunks that aren't overwhelming. - Garlic bread: A solid addition and comes free with the combo. Now, unexpectedly... the drinks stole the show. They have an in-house soda machine with options like pineapple cream soda?? (so good), and somehow even the Diet Coke tastes amazing. I mixed the root beer with cream soda and it might be my new favorite soft drink combo. Honestly, I'd come back just for the drinks alone -- which I did not expect from a BBQ spot. Overall, a really fun spot with great energy, efficient service, and solid BBQ. A few items were unavailable during my visit, but I'll definitely be back to try more and you already know I'm getting that drink again! read more
