There's convenient off-street parking all around the facility, and plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby making it perfect for multi-day meets or out-of-town families. It can be a little tricky to find the pool for the first time since it's tucked away off the main road, so don't rely solely on a quick glance at your map. Once you're there, everything's easy to access. We only wish there was a bit more spectator seating. With big events like this, the stands fill up fast. Overall, it's a top-notch swim venue and a great experience for swimmers.

There is ample parking throughout, and plenty of shade structures for the ever present sunny days. We came for the playground which boasts an aerial walkway, and numerous slides with steep angles that are sure to thrill your little ones. While the playground is older, the equipment is by one of the top manufactures of playgrounds in the country. All safety surfaces are new, and the nearby water fountain worked. My kids had a blast and made new friends. We will definitely be coming back to try family activities like fishing and boat rentals.

There are several facilities available including pavilions, grills, disc golf volleyball, playgrounds, swimming, fishing, and even a drone course. There are cabins (assuming for rent) and a spot for small RVs and trailers. The park includes several restrooms which are very clean. The disc golf course is extensive and likely a bit difficult as it meanders through several wooded areas and even one hole across the water. The park has several pavilions varying in size. Most have parking nearby, however several will require you to hoof your goods a little distance. This is a great place for a family or larger gathering. Two dollar entry fee. Dogs allowed on leash and there are several pet sanitary stations.

You can check the schedule online and book a court or wing it and do so when you arrive. I've noticed a time or two when it looks like every court is blocked online and they were actually all open, so I'd recommend calling to verify if there are no spots. Day-of has always worked for me. The courts themselves are well-maintained and many are recently re-painted. Some of them have the practice nets separating the two courts so your balls stay close by (this is for newbs like me). The bathrooms are nearby and adequate. Nothing spectacular, but they work and have been clean when I've been there. Overall, great courts! I'd recommend.

My son was employed by Jeff Ellis at the Aulani in Oahu. He was living in company housing near the…read moreAulani. He got in some sort of pushing match with one of the house mates. The housemate called the Kapolei police and my son was detained for 45 hours for assault. Both should have been detained! When my son returned to the house after being exhausted and hungry and guy name Dale met him outside, along with all my son's belongings, outside. Dale told my son he could not even go in the house (that he paid rent in) to change his clothes. He then thought he had the authority to tell my son he was fired. We later learned he was only suspended with pay. Hawaiian housing authority is going to hear about this. He was thrown out of the company housing with no where safe to sleep that night. He was scared and ended up sleeping on a bench that night. This is how they will treat employees. Throwing them into the street??!! A formal complaint is going to be filed on two counts. I have contacted Jeff Ellis HR and they do nothing. I also contacted Disney HR and let them know this is the type of company they contract with. I am so glad to hear that Disneyland in Anaheim does NOT contract their lifeguards through Jeff Ellis. They could NEVER get away with paying their California lifeguards the "slave" wages they pay the Aulani lifeguards. This is insane the way my son was treated. Additionally, police stated this was a waste of their time. No charges were filed. Classic call from a tattle tale. My son resigned from Jeff Ellis thankfully. Do not let your kids go to the Aulani to be a life guard just so Jeff Ellis can toss them out at will.

The front desk staff here is always friendly, professional, and welcoming, which sets a great tone right from the start. On top of that, the water fitness instructor is fantastic: helpful, pleasant, and keeps the class fun and motivating. It's one of the most enjoyable classes I've taken, and the music playlist is the best of any location I've been to. It really adds energy to the workout.

This gym not only has a great variety of weight training, even obscure stuff like the heavy ropes, but also has three Peloton bikes, which I love and generally seek out when looking at hotel options. They have towels, disinfecting wipes, wired headphones if you've forgot yours (I bring my own so I'm not wasting headphones that will end up in a land fill), water, clean bathrooms. Only odd thing about the gym is its placement; it's in the grotto behind the swimming pools, so the walk from elevators to gym is across the lobby, across outside seating, down the stairs to the pool, around the pool past the waterfall, past the game room, then you find it. Not a big deal either way, just hard to find, and not ideal if it's raining on your way to the gym, because you're going to get drenched.

I did not see any specific staff when I went but there is a reception desk that is shared for the gym and spa. I definitely enjoyed working out here and look forward to next time.
