So far they're doing a great job. My pool was drained and acid washed because the last service company let it turn green with algae along the edges and all through the fountain. It got out of control when I fired them because there was a gap in service for three weeks making various phone calls and waiting for Aquaworks to come out. They were not the first company I called. I had a no-show from one company and a late call back from another. It's hard to find good people. So far my fountain is getting a little green again. I spoke to my maintenance guy and he said it needs to be sprayed with bleach often. I had tried that in the past but had no idea they pool bleach and liquid bleach for laundry were different concentrations. He informed me that pool bleach was much stronger. He recommended a sprayer which I have since ordered. He also offered to fill it up with the pool bleach for me! I anticipate that this week. One of my qualms is their documentation. They sent me a receipt for draining the pool and upgrading my equipment etc but the receipt it not itemized at all. It just says here's the charge and that I paid. Kinda weird. The upgrade to the pool equipment has been a life saver. All this time I thought my pool vacuum sucked. It actually doesn't. It works great now that the pipes are the size they're supposed to be. Fantastic! Saved me from converting my pool vac to a jet powered one. They said the suction powered one is best for enclosed pools anyway. I appreciate they didn't try to up sell me on stuff I don't need. Seems like an honest company that is family owned. So far maintenance is going well.

Today I had the pleasure of interacting with the owner, who parked his company van in a way that completely blocked the view of oncoming traffic for anyone trying to exit the community. The car ahead of me struggled to get out, so I rolled my window down and let him know he was blocking visibility at an actual intersection. His response? "What do you want me to do?" I suggested the obvious: pull up a little so people can see. He said he couldn't because it would block the guest lane. I suggested pulling to the other side. His response? That would block the resident lane. Here's the fun part: there was no one in either lane and still about 100 feet of empty space in every direction. But apparently, basic spatial awareness and public safety were too much to ask. So instead, the owner of this company chose to block an intersection, argue about it, and refuse to move--despite being told it was dangerous. I still couldn't see oncoming traffic, and when I finally made a left turn, I almost got T-boned. If this is how this man handles a simple, common-sense situation--being made aware that he's creating a legitimate safety hazard--I can't imagine trusting him with heavy equipment, construction, or something as basic as pool maintenance. I wouldn't trust him to dig a hole in my backyard, let alone manage a pool, even if he were the last option on Earth. Unprofessional, inconsiderate, and wildly irresponsible. Hard pass.

We gave him multiple attempts to fix the problems to no avail and many times he blamed us even though we did what he asked and more. He started in October and today in February, we finally asked him not to return because enough is enough and we need to hire another company to fix his mistakes. He stated we had unrealistic expectations. He may post pictures and from afar it may look good but up close the details are messy and unprofessional at best. Welcome to a January through April 2026 story of "two-leak" leak detecting and leak stopping in my…read more40-year-old in-ground pool: Let's start with a make-sure note pertaining to ALD's warranty: Make sure to hire a pool repair company that Aaron's recommends when ALD detects a leak that requires repair that ALD is not set up to do. Read on for the story about two-leaks .... & ALD's warranty: During December 2025 and early January 2026, I noticed unusually rapid water level dropping in my pool; my pool-knowledgeable neighbor suggested that I ask ALD to detect the leaks. Over the phone ALD agreed with me that my pool's 0.39 inches per day rate of water level (averaged over a week during our cool & no-rain January) warranted a leak detection by their skilled colleagues. A few days later one of ALD's leak detection experts found a sizeable crack in sidewall of my pool and temporarily epoxy-patched it, cautioning me that this epoxy patch was only temporary and that I should seek a permanent repair by one of their approved contractors on a list that he gave me. During the next few days, the pool continued to leak at same rate as before this temporary patch, thus validating ALD's guidance to seek permanent repair from an ALD approved contractor. So, I did. Within a few days ALD's approved contractor Aquaworks permanently repaired the sidewall crack; during subsequent week the pool leaked at 85% of the leakage rate before this permanent repair, thus indicating that significant leaking persisted. So, ALD warranty time. After I informed ALD that significant leaking persisted and that I had retained an ALD-approved contractor to repair the crack that caused the first leak they detected, ALD promptly sent an expert to detect additional leaking. ALD's expert found that Aquaworks had properly sealed the wall crack, and he found a leak in the main drain at bottom of pool's deep end. After he carefully epoxy-plugged that main drain leak (scuba gear required!), my pool's rate of water level dropping during a warmer March week reduced to less than 0.2 inches per day, within a rate typically caused by evaporation. As of end of April, pool water level reduction rates remain at evaporation rates. Many thanks to ALD for their diligent and persistent efforts to find and fix two leaks that attacked my 40-year-old pool. Note to self (& other prospective ALD customers): Retain a pool repair company that ALD recommends when they find a leak that requires significant repair. Cooperate with ALD and they'll cooperate with you.

I'm also providing an update on my situation with the replacement Quattro cleaner I received in March 2024. (See my previous review.) First off, hats off to Marco for going ABOVE AND BEYOND for me relative to this product! I'm not sure anyone else would have made this much effort, but he truly values his longtime customers. The new Quattro did not even last 20 months! Starting in September, I noticed the cleaner was not climbing the pool walls properly. It then no longer rotated and would stall at the steps. Marco has been trying to discover what is at the center of this malfunction for several months, replacing various parts in an attempt to get it to work properly. He contacted his local Fluidra representative and they first said the Quattro was out of warranty. Marco would not take that position as a final answer. He requested the manufacturer send an entire new set of "guts" and he replaced every part FREE OF CHARGE. Sadly, the Quattro still does not run properly. I'll be looking to buy a new cleaner in the Spring, but Marco was not finished. He is working with the representative to see what discount I would receive on a future Quattro should I decide to stay with this manufacturer. (Not sure I will do that given the quality problems with this cleaner and the fact the manufacturer does not stand behind its defective product.) However, I give Marco extra credit to attempt to get me the best deal possible. Therefore, a huge amount of thanks and gratitude given to Marco and The Pool Pleaser for standing up for their repeat customers. I let my dogs out one day and some guy I've never seen before was standing in my backyard. My dogs went nuts. He sprayed them with water in an effort to not get attacked. Except, even though I paid them, they didn't.
