Earlier today a fellow student and friend at school who is a disabled vet went to get lunch and…read moreparked in the handicap spot in this picture to get their food at the place next door. When she got back out to the car an employee for this company had put a sign on her car that said "you aren't disabled you're just lazy" and then continued to verbally attack her as she removed the sign and try to get into her vehicle. When she went in to talk to the owner of the company he refused to come and talk to her from in the back of the store. After school today I went to talk to the business and see if I could get a contact name and number for the business owner and was informed by the man there (wont call him a gentleman). I pulled up and took this picture and one more and the man came out and asked if he could help me. I was polite and wasn't pissy in the least bit...yet. I went into the business so as not to make a scene in public should an issue happen. I began by explaining that the DV on the license plate allows them to park in a handicap place without the temporary blue placard in the window...it IS a handicap placard. He proceeded to tell me that he is not responsible nor liable for anything his employee does while on the clock and that he fully intends to allow his employee to continue harassing any disabled person who parks there that he deems "isn't disabled only lazy". At which point I proceded to explain to him that we the students of CHCP will no longer be purchasing our Sr. T-shirts from his business. Come to find out one of the main people from our school had also been up there and pulled the school's account as well. So by his actions he has now lost a guaranteed repeat customer with orders over 200 ever 5 weeks...I walked out of the store, not allowing him to get me into a screaming match and he proceeded to follow me out to my car. I got in my car and was about to pull away and he was standing there knocking on my window as I pulled away. I have never been so pissed off and insulted that ANY business would allow anyone ESPECIALLY a DISABLED VET to be treated this way. Please feel free to share this and let this business owner know, its not OK to run a business like this!

I love having a local coffeeshop that offers different services, including printing and shipping…read more There are plenty of pastries and drinks to choose from. They have a seasonal drink menu as well. I had the London fog and blueberry scone (heated up). The London fog was flavorful and refreshing on a sunny day. The blueberry scone was crunchy, dense and delicious. World Blend has a cozy atmosphere with a couple areas to sit, soft lighting and a covered outdoor patio.

Hello World Blend! I…read morefound this place by accident when searching Yelp. Let's get to the good stuff: -This place has such charm - The coffee, food and pastries I had were good -The price was reasonable -The young guy working behind the counter was super nice. -I love that you can mail à package and grab a coffee and sandwich. The ugly: -The guy behind the counter was working the whole store alone. He was very nice. He did not know how to work the mailing/shipping side. I'm not sure why the owner would leave an employee in the store alone especially when he doesn't know how to run all the services. I watched customers leave because of this. By the time the owner arrived he thought the people who needed a package mailed were going to be waiting on him... not a chance... -I ordered a sandwich, coffee, and a pastry and both were good. The cashier was also the cook. He did a great job with juggling everything but he should not have been left alone. I decided to take my items to go because I didn't want to watch him struggle while trying to have a peaceful lunch. - Food handling practices were not being followed but when you're doing it all, it's hard to remember not to use the same rag you wiped à table with on a dish you're about to serve. Or to wash your hands to avoid cross contamination. Or not sharing yourself with others food by properly covering while coughing or sneezing. Overall, worth a visit but not a place to run back to. Saw a few cringe worthy things. World Blend do not call me, I'll call you.....
