The package was supposed to be handed to my mom, but UPS gave it to a completely different person. This person had my mom's name on an ID, along with his own picture, and he also had the tracking number. What makes this even more concerning is that UPS employees admitted that my mom's name was clearly a very feminine name and that the situation felt suspicious or "off" yet they still handed the package over to him anyway. This is completely unacceptable, especially for an expensive and personal item like a new iPhone. If the situation seemed suspicious enough for the employee to question it, the package should not have been released. What concerns me most is the security issue this exposes. If someone can simply put another person's name on an ID, provide the tracking number, and receive their package despite obvious discrepancies, then this could happen to anyone. UPS needs to seriously review and improve its delivery and ID verification procedures. A tracking number and a name on an ID should not be enough when the person presenting the ID clearly does not match the expected recipient. I hope UPS takes this seriously and changes its protocol so other customers don't have to experience what we went through. We trusted UPS to safely deliver our package, and they failed to do that. They need to do better

The delivery driver shoved my package in a locker so small I had…read moreno choice but to rip the box and get it out when I went to fedex to tell them they refused to accept the box because they said it was compromised and I would have to replace the box. Called customer service customer service told me to call the company and have them send it out again. They are a group of incompetent individuals, each person working there has no sense of customer service or reliability on their part. How is a driver going to shove a box in a mailbox smaller than the dimensions of the package and then hold the customer liable for damages occurred. The drivers are ignorant (obviously there needs to be extra training time to learn box measurements vs proper mailbox sizes) the store staff is incompetent (every time I go in it's a new person at the counter in training and frantically handling situations ready to give the customer service number when custom service is a bunch of lazy subordinates with horrible customer service most of which you cannot even understand due to their thick accent and the amount of noise coming from their background. Safe to say I HATE FEDEX. They are only used because UPS the superior delivery service is more expensive. Because better quality costs more money. It's clear fedex hires the people that no one else will. And that's sad as a company that all of the stores have a 2 star or lower rating and on bbb they have 1 star.
