Great hole in the wall. Salad and burgers were very good. Ate here 1-2 times a week over the summer and loved it.

And the food.....well worth it as it was fantastic! Everyone in our group loved their meal. It was nice to have a leisurely dinner and not feel rushed by the staff. After dinner we enjoyed their updated outdoor patio. The new owners have outdone themselves!!! Highly recommend!

The background music was enjoyable, the staff was friendly, and most importantly, the food was very good. I ordered the hanger steak medium, and it came out closer to medium-rare. That wasn't a problem--it was still delicious. I thought the shrimp appetizer was just slightly undercooked, although my wife felt it was perfectly fine. Her salmon was excellent, and the beet salad was also outstanding. Our server, Tavian, was warm and attentive. We arrived around 4:15 p.m. on a Sunday and ended up with a small dining room almost entirely to ourselves, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. My only real suggestion is that the area around the dumpsters near the parking lot could use some attention. It looks a bit unkempt and has an unpleasant odor, which isn't the best first impression. Overall, this restaurant has a lot of potential. The chef clearly knows what he's doing, and with a few small facility improvements, I think this place could go from very good to truly excellent.

Not fried too hard but perfectly crispy. Would definitely order these again. I had the cesaer salad. Hell yes! The anchovies were big and gave it the right amount of saltiness. The roman was perfectly covered in dressing. I'll definitely order that again. Scraped the plate lol. For my main I ordered the 6oz filet (medium well), the lobster tail, and the lobster mac n cheese. Here's where things get a little sticky... The filet was immaculate. Cooked just as I asked, flavorful, and tender. You don't even need any sauce. It's good as is. I should have gotten some just to try and see if it would enhance my tastebuds even more. The lobster tail tasted like cleaning products. As if someone had wiped down the counter than sat my lobster tail on the same counter before cooking. I had to sent it back after the first bite. Couldn't risk it. The truffle lobster mac n cheese has no truffle and no cheese. It's soup based, meaning creamy but not cheesy. Can't be cheesy since there's 0 cheese in it. Just noodles and cream. The lobster meat is minced and minimal. You can't even tell it's in there. And the flavor was trash. Don't waste your money ordering that. Parking was in a parking garage. Not free and idk if they validate since not one staff member mentioned it (if they do).

There were several "reserved" tables that remained empty until after we had finished eating, so I think the restaurant could benefit from a better reservation system with more accurate buffer times to accommodate walk-in guests. To avoid the wait, we decided to sit at the bar, and I'm glad we did because the food was amazing. The fried chicken and waffles were perfectly seasoned, and the waffle had a unique texture and flavor that reminded me of a combination of a traditional waffle and a soft pretzel. The cheesy potato cake was absolutely delicious. The fruit bowl was also good, but I wish they had been a little more generous with the blueberry pudding. The shrimp and grits came with large tomatoes, which may not be for everyone, and my friend felt the dish was lacking grits overall. She didn't feel like she got her money's worth. Would I go back? Absolutely. My meal was delicious, and I can't wait to return and try more of their homemade, fresh dishes. I also think it's great that they partner with local farmers to help curate their menu.

But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.
