Amazing food, great service, cozy ambiance. We celebrated our 5th anniversary here and I guess we want to make it a tradition! Appetizers: we ordered the HOMEMADE YEAST ROLLS and it was delicious! So soft and the butter was very good! We also ordered the CRAB and PORTOBELLA MUSHROOM, and my husband loved it! Entrees: I ordered the GRILLED ANGUS FILET 6oz and my husband ordered the RACK OF LAMB, both come with garlic mashed potatoes and house vegetables (broccolini and carrots) and house salad (mix of lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers and dressing). Everything exceeded our expectations! Dessert: we shared the SIGNATURE VINTAGE HOUSE TEXUDO PROFITEROLE and it was big win!

Our second visit to this wonderful establishment. With a menu that changes with the seasons, they will keep you guessing. And so far, nothing has been disappointing. We started with the calamari, which had an interesting texture, due to being tossed in masa prior to being fried. Awesome! Then we went for the filet mignon with potato puree and asparagus, and scallops with pork belly for our entree. I don't know what they do in the kitchen, but it's amazing. Unexpected flavors, but in a good way. We had settled in the profiteroles for our dessert, but unfortunately they had run out of the ice cream. So, we had to "settle" for the pot de crème. And yet again..... Flavors!!!!! Brittney took great care of us, making for a great experience. She decided to bring over the manager Cole, who gave us further insights into how they create the offerings they bring to the world. We already have our next reservations in place, looking forward to the menu that will be offered then....

This is our favorite restaurant in Hickory. I will admit we have only had their pasta entrees and appetizers but they are all fantastic. Their rolls are amazing and their drinks are always great. We have never had bad service either. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you are coming during a popular time or weekends. It's on the pricier side, but at least everything we have tried is very good. We do not leave disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Britney was our server and she provided great service. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday. The timing of the food was perfect and the food came out amazing.

Vintage House is beautiful. The restaurant is in an old house that has vintage wall paper and wood trim that complement a contemporary black and white decor in another room. Upstairs are rooms for private parties and for guest overflow. A private dining room is on the main floor. Our evening dinner was highlighted by our waiter, Cole. He was knowledgeable about the food, the specials, and his service was spot on with a professional flare. He served drinks, and opened and poured the wine perfectly after we did taste tests. Most dishes were wonderful. For starters the wilted spinach salad was warm and was highly recommended, so most of our party started with that or the butternut ravioli. The Shrimp Scampi was fantastic. The Escargot in a red wine demi was one of the best. For dinner our party had the trout special and the trout on the menu. They were similar, but the menu item included crabmeat, and both had different vegetables and garnishes. The NY Strip was cooked perfectly and the grits were good. The rack of lamb was not flavorful, but the veggies were good. The pastas were delicious and hardy. Vintage House is a very nice restaurant for any dress up occasion.

Great atmosphere. I opted to have two appetizers instead of an entree. It has been "forever" since I have been able to order escargot. The puff pastry was an interesting twist, as was the sauce. I am a sucker for good risotto. The lobster tail was cut into bite sized portions. The lobster stock made a great "sauce." It wasn't dry and it wasn't swimming in sauce. My wife was seduced by the rack of lamb. All were delicious.

Reservations were promptly addressed by wonderfully polite and attentive hostess. Our meal was for my wife's birthday dinner and the Vintage House was a recommendation from a client. Our server was kind, attentive and did a wonderful job. Our food orders were pleasantly presented and tasted amazing! We ordered the Crab Cakes as an appetizer, Orzo and salmon and two tenderloin special. All was excellent. Great job to all at the Vintage House!

I'd like to start off saying that it is almost impossible to find a place that will make an espresso martini in and around this area. I asked for one first thing and the bartender had no issues making one. I was pleasantly surprised. The espresso martini was SPOT ON!! DELICIOUS!! My husband enjoyed his coconut rum and Coke so much, he got two!! My second drink was off of their "winter cocktail" menu. This menu was unique and intriguing. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the drink I got, but I promise most people based on description would pass. DON'T pass!! The drink was served warm with wine, rum, and spices. It taste like an apple cider or a flavorful tea, I could not taste the alcohol, that makes it a true cocktail in my opinion it also makes it dangerous!! hahahaha!! Move over Long Island ice tea!! We both got burgers. Both flame grilled I believe. Cooked perfectly and soooooooooooooo good!! My hubby got the inferno burger. If you love spicy, This one is for you!! It's not for the faint of heart. I chose the American burger. It was everything you want in a classic burger and it's my new fav place for a burger!! I chose a wedge salad for my side. It was large for a side. I only wish they had charred/grilled the wedge just to step it up a notch. Hubby got the pub chips.... tasty and plentifu!! Overall food was delicious. The staff were very nice and attentive. The building is beautiful and their vintage adds, mural, and gargoyles are a delightful and unique touch to the decor. I hope to see more the next time we go. We WILL be back for more!!

My husband and…read moreI are spending a lot of time in Hickory and have an apartment nearby to help with my daughter and son in law's infant twins. After a nice weekend with additional family in town for a special event, I suggested this establishment as I have had many good experiences here in the last 6 months. When we decided on this location, we called ahead and were told no reservations we taken, first come first served. So with the twins and their cousin, we had 3 9-month old babies. Very aware of the complexity of this, we brought hook on chairs and arrived around 5:00. The hostess tried to seat us at a much too small table in the back room, and when we inquired about a larger one, we were told it was "reserved ". . We were seated in a long booth in the bar. The waitress seemed very rushed and upon first visit to table asked if we were ready to order. We were not told of any specials, etc. Good news was that we had decided to be ready and get our full orders in quickly. We ordered an appetizer and cocktails to begin, which came out quickly. My Son in law asked for a fairly plain burger, but wondered if fried onions which were listed on another burger could be added. Waitress said " prob not... but I'll ask". It did not come with the added onions. I asked for my favorite pizza.. she said there's no pizza tonight. While waiting on food, we asked for a couple of orange slices, which we had taken from cocktails to entertain/feed the babies. Waitress said they couldn't do that because the oranges are for the bartender garnishes. I asked for another cocktail with extra oranges and thankfully was given one extra sliver. When our meal was finished, our curt waitress asked if we needed anything else, so we just asked for the check. No suggestion of dessert, etc. We were never visited by the manager to see how all was going... because if so I would have asked if this was establishment policy or simply a rude waitress. We tipped 15%... and let that be it. Note that the babies were fantastic... very little fussing at all. We kept all except the floor cleaned up after them. On our way out... we seemed to be on the waitress's way... she never said anything like have a good night, etc... but shouted "Behind you!" twice on her way to deliver another table's food, and as we were getting out of her way to leave. A disappointing end to a restaurant experience I'd enjoyed before. Note to self... not particularly baby friendly.
