Tried this place for the 1st time last night. Kind of off the beaten path but a beautiful space( more about that later. Hannah our waitress was fantastic! I had concerns about the menu with part of it seemingly bar food and the other part seemingly fine dining. Risotto? Short ribs? Can a new place pull this off? Well they did and at a very reasonable price and portion!! I actually had their house made Mac and cheese with 2 add ons from a nice list of options. My dining partner had their short ribs and substituted extra veggies for the mashed potatoes. I tasted it and it was perfect. The stuffed jalapeno appetizer was very good. I gawked at platters of other foods going by and it all looked delicious! Now this place has a very nice patio for cooler weather and a huge main dining room. The surprise was the bourbon room, which looked like an old-money private club, and across from that a pool room with 3 pool tables. This is really a nice place and I wish the owners well! I would give it a zero star if I could. Went to try Inferno. Had to seat myself. No big deal. But waiting 10 minutes and not one person acknowledged us. Not even a middle finger. Another customer arrived and was taken care of before us. Not very good if you're trying to be a successful restaurant. This place will not make it if they continue like this. Very unorganized. Ambiance was kind of low. Felt like I was at a funeral. Unfortunately I can't comment on the food. read more

My husband and I went to the Inferno Tavern, Newton NC for the first time tonight. It was fantastic!! I'd like to start off saying that it is almost impossible to find a place that will make an espresso martini in and around this area. I asked for one first thing and the bartender had no issues making one. I was pleasantly surprised. The espresso martini was SPOT ON!! DELICIOUS!! My husband enjoyed his coconut rum and Coke so much, he got two!! My second drink was off of their "winter cocktail" menu. This menu was unique and intriguing. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the drink I got, but I promise most people based on description would pass. DON'T pass!! The drink was served warm with wine, rum, and spices. It taste like an apple cider or a flavorful tea, I could not taste the alcohol, that makes it a true cocktail in my opinion it also makes it dangerous!! hahahaha!! Move over Long Island ice tea!! We both got burgers. Both flame grilled I believe. Cooked perfectly and soooooooooooooo good!! My hubby got the inferno burger. If you love spicy, This one is for you!! It's not for the faint of heart. I chose the American burger. It was everything you want in a classic burger and it's my new fav place for a burger!! I chose a wedge salad for my side. It was large for a side. I only wish they had charred/grilled the wedge just to step it up a notch. Hubby got the pub chips.... tasty and plentifu!! Overall food was delicious. The staff were very nice and attentive. The building is beautiful and their vintage adds, mural, and gargoyles are a delightful and unique touch to the decor. I hope to see more the next time we go. Went here late Saturday evening was hardly anyone in the place which still can't believe. Such a cool place and venue with an awesome bourbon room a regular bar and a billiard room if you like pool. I ordered some of the truffle fries for an appetizer and they were delicious and a pizza for dinner. The pizza unfortunately wasn't good but it's also gluten free and normally gluten free pizza is hit or miss and this misses unfortunately. On this visit I would give the venue a 5 and the food a 3 because of the pizza so a 4 overall. Would definitely go back but would go with a different entrée read more

The service was great and the food is fantastic. I've eaten here with a small group several times and we've always enjoyed it. The pub fries are so good and the burger is amazing! One of the best burgers I've had. I always stop here if I'm anywhere close to the area. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to get in and out of the parking lot. read more

We wanted to love this place but just didn't enjoy our visit. Service was slow, which we typically can look past, but my husband had to go to the bar to get my mother's soda refilled. We ordered the short rib and it was so tough we couldn't even cut into it. The sidewinder fries are some that we usually love, but every other bite they were undercooked. We did get our meal switched out to another item and appreciate that! The bourbon room was a nice touch and probably the only reason we would return for a cocktail only. read more

Went there for a celebratory ends of year dinner. We shared between 3 of us the parmesan fries, Mexican street corn, green salad, and prosciutto pizza. Along with a couple drinks. Green salad was fresh and light. Delectable. The pizza was not too dense you could taste each ingredient on it. The fries were nice not oily. The sauce was very light truffle flavor. Favorites were the salad and pizza. It had a warm feeling interior, very clean. Feels casual and sophisticated. Our waitress was really attentive and nice. I would recommend it. read more
