An always solid spot. Brunch, dinner or some cocktails, link n pin is a great go to. The weekend brunch scene can be hit or miss, I've been when it's poppin and the mimosas are flowing, and I've also been when we are the only ones there. Wait staff is always knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. They have an extensive list of cocktails that are all delicious. The inside bar is a great vibe and they offer some outdoor, covered seating as well for some bigger parties.

Brunch , vibes , and bubbles! Finding the perfect combination of ambiance and amazing food can be a challenge (especially in charlotte ‍), but luckily that's not a problem here! I had the shrimp omelette and it was so yummy. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Sushi Grade Salmon & Tuna Plate was excellent, along with the Mini Ahi Tuna Tacos which were perfect.

Our first time at Link & Pin did not disappoint. Date night out was perfection. Started with delicious cocktails and the tuna sushi plate. Lots of flavors to pair with the tuna and salmon between the slaw and sauces. My favorite was the mini ahi tuna tacos - the waitress nailed it when she said the flavors were incredible with each bite. Then we both went for burgers. The House Burger and Backyard burger were both incredible. It's hard to find a place that will actually do a good rare burger these days that isn't over cooked, but they nailed it. Paired with truffle fries, it was the perfect combination. The ambiance was lovely as well. Beautifully decorated and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will certainly be returning again!

Walked in and experienced a warm friendly greeting from Host, Manager and several waitresses. I was impressed and enjoyed the vibe in this beautiful chic restaurant. My waitress Tiana was 'above board'- perfect!! The appetizer was out in less than ten minutes and the hot mouth watering Entrees on our table in less than 20 minutes. The handsome manager is from Atlanta (Morehouse Graduate) so he knows the entertaining and great dining experience quite well. I felt I was back in the ATL the entire time! Love it and Want More of It!

So I've been to Link & Pin South End for brunch many times and always loved it. However, I'd never joined them for happy hour....until today. Well, better late than never because I've been missing out! Their $5 happy hour menu is SOLID. You heard me....$5!! if you leave here broke and hungry, baby, you did it wrong. The $5 menu (daily 4:00-6:00pm) includes hearty offerings such as Candied Jalapeño Bacon, Brussels Sprouts, Crispy Oysters, Hummus Trio, Mini Ahi Tuna Tacos, Truffle-Garlic Fries, and House Burger. The candied jalapeño bacon is just that--candy! Sweet, sticky, smokey, salty--it's the perfect little snack before diving into something more substantial. It comes vertically bundled inside a mason jar and is large enough to share if you're feeling generous. The breading on the oysters I could eat by itself. A squeeze of lime on the ahi tuna tacos really brought them to life. For all my international noshing, my favorite food on the planet is surprisingly simple--french fries. So, ordering the truffle garlic fries was going to happen. They arrived crispy and hot which I love because I like my hot food to be hawt (!) and can't stand a soggy fry. They were addictive. Truffle can be overpowering but there was just enough used to make the point and the garlic flavor was appreciable punchy. A sprinkle of parsley finished the dish and they were served with horseradish aioli. Although I still opted for some good ol' ketchup on the side, the aioli was deliciously pungent. Really nice accompaniment. *still drooling* Do NOT leave there without trying the Brussels sprouts. These ain't your grandmama's! They were perfectly cooked (so as to avoid their sulfuric nature) in a rich orange caramel glaze. The red onions provided a nice sharpness and toasted almonds gave an added crunch. Ordered them twice. Lol. The General Tso's cauliflower featured nice big chunks of vegetable and remained tangy & crispy even under the pile of slaw. Not to be left out, all day on Mondays and Thursdays (I went on a Thursday), there are $10 featured cocktail deals which include the Link & Pin Margarita & the Fireside Chat. Since I'm not altogether a margarita drinker, I tried the Fireside Chat. It contains a spirit, Rittenhouse Rye, and a herbal liqueur, Becherovka Czech Amaro, with which I wasn't terribly familiar but they worked so well with the rest of the ingredients--sugar maple smoke, a darker Amari, and mole bitters. Very balanced and smooth. A total bargain at just $10! As always, I appreciate the maze-like layout of this space. A convenient patio; a dining room with semi- sectioned off areas; and don't miss the chic lounge just past the bar and down the ramp toward the back--perfect place to wait on your table or enjoy an after-meal libation. Service was outstanding as well. The food came out almost as if it was choreographed, and we never waited too long for any requests we made. Now, be on notice, there is a posted dress code, but it's not overly constricting or unreasonable for a nice upper mid-level spot. So, please throw on some nice clothes!

Really yummy food, good service, and very chill environment. Also there is a parking garage and they will validate your parking! So I really love the Grandad's Deviled Eggs, Candied Jalapeño Bacon, and and the Backyard Burger. The eggs had a delicious ratio of ingredients in the deviled egg part (it's perfectly yellow in color with some paprika on top - my fave), and the trout roe with candied bacon is so yummy. Just pop a whole egg in your mouth for a wonderful combination of flavors. The Backyard Burger was also really yummy. I did ask for it to be medium and it was more well done, so will probably just ask for medium rare next time. I also added more candied jalapeño bacon to my burger. It was really great. Plus it was a lot of burger, so I had enough for dinner later too. The burger is a bit juicy, so just watch the bottom bun of your burger so it doesn't get soggy and soaked. The fries were also really yummy - loved that they were fairly thin and crispy with yummy salt and pepper on them. I don't recommend ordering a mimosa by the glass here as the one I was handed was mostly orange juice and tasted flat (terrible orange juice to sparkling wine ratio) - though you can get a tray order and make it yourself, which is cool if a bunch of people are drinking mimosas. But our waiter was very kind and exchanged my mimosa for just a glass of prosecco, which was perfect. The prosecco was very lovely and bubbly, with a fair pour. And I did not get charged for the bad mimosa that I did not drink. Service is a little slow, but it's nice that they don't rush you out of there. You can just sit, enjoy your meal, and talk with your friends. Definitely coming back here for more food and drinks. Just will only get prosecco by the glass, not a mimosa next time!

Where's the 6th star? Link and Pin deserves it. What a fabulous find. From the moment you walk in the door, and you're greeted, you know you're in the right place. What a fantastic waitress we had this evening. Everything was explained very well and offered good options from the happy hour menu, as well as various cocktails. The manager came by and spoke with us to explain some of the intricacies within their mix Ology. They have some very unique drinks. We ended up ordering seven appetizers for our meal. That was a lot of food for just two of us. But I thought we did pretty good. it's not a bad thing on the menu here. I would highly highly highly recommend stopping by and give him this place a try. I know I will when I'm back in town.

Everything about this visit was a YES!!! Parking is available in the garage immediately next door. The restaurant validates up to 2 hours. Although it was brunch time on a beautiful Saturday, we were seated pretty quickly. They offer a mix of tables, booths, and patio seating. Great for intimate meals or large group events. We started with the General Tao Cauliflower bowl. FYI, it has rice under the cauliflower. It was delicious. Perfect for sharing or eating as an actual entree. Next we shared the Chicken & Waffles entree as well as the Shrimp & Grits. You can't go wrong with either. The Chicken & Waffles comes with juicy Mint Watermelon slices, which was a perfect pairing. Furthermore, the service was amazing. Our waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable. She made great recommendations. The restaurant was very clean (including the restroom). The ambiance was elegant but not overwhelming. I highly recommend Link & Pen. I can't wait to go back.

OK YELP, IM WRAPPING UP MY 20TH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND!!!! WANT SOME LUNCH AND IM FEELING A LIL BOUGIE!!! WHATJA GOT?!?!?! Da yelp wheel spins aaaaaand Link & Pin it is. I don't care where I go in Charlotte, when you get out of the car the whole scene is just full of energy. People everywhere going about their day, smiles, exercising. Everybody is looking youthful. It's the same scene no matter where I'm at. How do you people pull it off? It is so beautiful. It always looks like hundreds of people with nowhere to clock in to work today. Lol. All the waiters and waitresses dressed in black looking professional. The whole staff looking like they're fresh out of the barber chair or cosmetologist. You can smell the fine wood attached to the backdrop. All I have to do is give yelp a few words and my homie always knows exactly what I'm looking for. Sometimes I don't even have to finish the sentence. We came in during Brunch hours but we wanted things from the dinner menu. I wanted the pictures I saw on you. My waitress said no problem. Went and got the dinner menu and she said just tell me what you want. I felt safe. I had to get my wife a very expensive steak. This is what she loves the most. A nice restaurant in a perfectly prepared steak. Things like these will get me cool points for at least two to three hours. Lol. I ordered the avocado toast. In my mind if I ate it and liked it I would be walking out looking like Tom brady. It was very good and spicy. But the Tom Brady thing did not work unfortunately. We also ordered a few drinks. They have a full drink menu and whoever wrote it should write poetry. Every single drink sound like a different experience. Suckered us and immediately. I ordered the lobster roll and I don't usually order any type of sandwich and such a nice dining experience but something told me it would all work out. It was probably the price of the lobster roll. Wifey ordered a steak, some kind of salad, and some kind of potato hash. The lobster roll was very rich and full of lobster. My bread was toasted a little too much but it was okay. Nice condiment of butter on the side to keep everything caloric in a bed of French fries. It was one of those meals that you eat when you know you're enjoying the last few hours of life with no responsibility AKA Monday is approaching. It reminded me of how I want to live my life in retirement. Without major care in the world, fine dining, living life to the fullest. There was a local bakery I wanted to visit but we will hit that next time. We were super full and ready to hit the road. I've always been a big fan of the South end. Again I have to say to Mecklenburg county thank you for your hospitality you were warm and inviting my whole weekend as you always are. I will be back soon and can't wait to see you again. This was a great meal to send us off. This was the weekend of me and my wife's 20th anniversary. Hopefully we can do 20 more. Cheers!!

Loved this spot for a quick early dinner! Walking in, we were greeted and the host let us know that the happy hour menu was for the bar only, so she put us on a waitlist and let us know we could sit in the lounge to wait. The wait only needed up being a few minutes which was great! Once we were seated at the bar, the bartender was super friendly! She was engaging with everyone and very personable. I ordered the house burger which came with fries. The jalapeño bacon on it was amazing! The fries were very good as well. The burger was cooked perfectly! I couldn't believe I got all that food for $5! I definitely want to come back and try some other items. I'm hoping they do this deal at the birkdale location as well because i work close by!

So I spent the block on this place! Two nights in a row and this place did not disappoint! The food was AMAZING! I had Elijah as my server extraordinaire tonight and OMG IT WAS JUST GREAT. I had the lobster bisque, 2 Lady Loves, the Halibut, and the Truffle Mac & Cheese... sooooo good! The ambiance was great and again the service is top notch! Kudos Elijah!

If you're looking for a spot in South End that brings together fantastic food, a chic vibe, and a touch of sophistication, look no further than Link & Pin. There are other locations in Huntersville and the Arboretum, but I decided to dine at the South End location. I suggest you make a reservation via OpenTable, and parking is a breeze with validation if you park in the garage connected to the restaurant. They have a dress code, so business casual is the way to go to fit right in. The dining room is spacious, with plenty of booths and regular tables, and the noise and lighting levels are just right. Whether you're flying solo or looking to impress on a date, the bar is a beautiful setup. Upon being seated by the friendly host, I was promptly greeted by my waiter, Elijah. This guy knows his stuff! He described the drink menu with such mouthwatering detail that I almost ordered a watermelon margarita, and I don't even drink! The menu at Link & Pin has something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood to build your own charcuterie board, share some appetizers some of which were vegetarian, dive into a lobster bisque or salad, or explore a seafood option, they've got you covered. They also offer a variety of steaks and chops with customizable add-ons and sauces, plus large plates featuring sandwiches and chicken dishes. After an internal debate, I settled on the lobster roll. Which has both tail and claw meat from a 1.25 lb Maine lobster! The lobster was warm and filled a perfectly toasted, buttery New England-style brioche roll. Served with a side of clarified butter for pouring or dipping, and hand-cut French fries. This was hands down the best lobster dish I've had in Charlotte, and I'm already planning my next visit. My only critique...the fries. They were very small, almost like I got the bottom of the batch, and every fry was limp, although seasoned perfectly. If you prefer crispy fries, these might not hit the mark for you. Also, you can upgrade to truffle fries if that's more your style. If you're craving a top-notch lobster roll (seriously, my favorite in Charlotte), make your way to Link & Pin. You won't be disappointed!

Ask the Community - Link & Pin South End

How long is the wait for a table usually on a Saturday around 6? I have a party of 5 but I can't seem to find a reservation.

No, they do not have a rooftop area.

Can you order from dinner menu at 1:30 on Saturday?

That would be brunch menu !

We welcome kids and have high chair available for use. We hope to see you soon!

    Yes - it's casual

Do you serve beer, specifically michelob ultra?

Yes! We have Michelob Ultra available and a variety of other beers as well!

This place blue my mind…read more I was visiting my best friend while in town for a conference on amusement ride standards. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

I recommend going early to get a good spot to people watch. I plan to come back at least one more time during the holidays. 10/10!

It's tucked away in a strip mall off South Boulevard next to Goldie's (a spot I know well), but Dom's definitely flies under the radar. We stopped in for drinks and apps and were pleasantly surprised. Solid happy hour specials, reasonably priced food, and exactly the kind of bar food you want late at night--no frills, satisfying, and hits the spot. The drink selection was decent, and with it being the holidays, they even had some festive cocktails. The one I ordered was actually really good. We didn't stay long since this was more of a pre-dinner pit stop, but it left a good impression. Casual, affordable, and easygoing--definitely a spot I'll be back to when I'm in the mood for a low-key neighborhood bar vibe.

She was extremely attentive and truly went above and beyond with her outstanding service and personality. We had some questions about the menu and Carlos came to talk to us. He was also AWESOME! I can't say enough wonderful things about them both. The atmosphere is comfortable and has a very "hometown bar feel". I hate I don't live in Charlotte anymore. They would have to ban me because I would be in there so much! We ordered the duck fat pretzel bites with the queso and they were drool worthy. Not pictured we also got a flatbread as well. Great experience and we will definitely be back!!

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere pulls you in--classy, cozy, and timeless. The decor strikes the perfect balance between vintage charm and modern luxury, making it an ideal place to unwind. Their cigar selection is impressive. On point. The cocktails are crafted with care and the bar menu complements the cigars beautifully. It's the kind of place where you can sip, smoke, and actually have a conversation. But what really sets this place apart is the waitstaff. Attentive, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they take pride in making every guest feel at home. We were immediately turned away because we had on sweatpants. The attire rules are posted at the door in a very abrupt and abrasive way and we were quickly approached. The bar was near empty, we only wanted to continue our friend's bday celebration. There was a white server that walked right by us and entered the cigar room with the black server. She didn't say anything to us but the black server immediately came out and told us we needed to leave because of our attire. We were kempt and professional, yet casual. The servers had on uggs, leggings, half zip nylon pullovers, and had the audacity to approach us about attire. I will never, ever, spend my dollars, nor recommend this place to anyone...for ANYTHING.

The cocktails were excellent, especially the Old Fashioned and the Penicillin -- both perfectly balanced and some of the best we've had. The whiskey selection was also seriously impressive. One thing that really stood out to us was seeing an employee actively cleaning the beer taps. We've honestly never seen that done before in person, and it gave us a great impression of how clean and well-maintained everything is behind the bar. We didn't get a chance to try the food this visit, but after such a great experience with the drinks and service, we'll definitely be back next time to check it out!

The menu leans Latin-American with some Southern influence, and you can tell there's real intention behind the food--not just trendy plating. A few dishes that really stand out: * CrispyPan Seared Chicken - super clean execution, great char, and balanced with bright, fresh flavors. It's simple but done right. * Fried Beef Tacos - easily a must-order. Crispy, rich, and layered with acidity so it doesn't feel heavy. * Ceviche - fresh, citrusy, and well-seasoned. You can tell they're not cutting corners here. * Street Corn (Elote) - bold, messy, and exactly what you want it to be. * Gator Bites - crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with flavor. Fun dish that's actually executed well--not just a gimmick. The atmosphere is just as strong as the food--high energy, great patio, and a space that feels alive without being overwhelming. It's the kind of place you can take a team, a date, or just roll in after work and still feel like you made the right call. Service is typically on point too--friendly, quick, and they keep things moving even when it's busy, which matters. Only thing that throws people off sometimes is parking, but don't let that stop you: There is parking behind the restaurant if the main lot is full. Overall, this is one of those spots that hits consistently--good food, strong execution, and a vibe that keeps people coming back.
