It was $23.00 cheaper, shipped the same day and was delivered 2 days later. CDNN charged $3.99 for shipping and Sig charged $9.99 and it is still 2 states away according to FedEx tracking. I own a Sig 1911 that has had problems since day 1. The pistol shot and fed well enough, but the slide would fail to lock back on empty, even when manually actuated. Annoying, but no big deal, I sent it to Sig and they serviced it and replaced the magazines and slide lock. At this time they also performed a factory action enhancement package at a 'discounted rate due to the inconvenience. Turn around was about 5 weeks. If you have ever had to shop your pistol in for a warranty you know it is a huge pain in the butt as to receive the pistol back requires an adult signature and must be received at the address from which the pistol was originally sent. This means you need to wait around for the delivery driver to bring your package, which means missing some work. If you are unable to receive the package in this way Sig charges you for the shipping fees and for sending it to an FFL to be received there. I was a little annoyed by all this, but happy they were standing by the product. Unfortunately when I received the firearm back the issue persisted. The pistol was now locking back ~%70 of the time. This was much better, to be sure, but still unacceptable for a self defense pistol. Back to Sig it went again, this time for a week. Another days of work was disrupted waiting for the pistol to be returned. When I received the pistol back the third time they switched my Wilson combat branded magazines (which had originally come with the gun) for some unlabeled generic Sig brand mags. No big deal, I don't really care what kind of magazine I have so long as they work. Problem is the magazines they repacked the quality Wilson ones with are complete junk. One the first range trip since the third warranty service of my firearm, with less than 200 rds through, the magazines all began to fall apart. The plastic base plates on the magazines fell off erratically and one magazine split straight up the rear. While the magazines were complete junk the slide lock issue seemed to have been resolved. I contacted Sig customer support to report the poor magazine quality issue and request replacement Wilson branded mags, which were of much greater quality and had been the original magazines I was issued with the pistol. I offer to send pictures of the failing magazines. Sig said that to have the magazines replaced I would have to send the whole pistol with the magazines in AGAIN. I explained that the pistol now seemed to be working correctly and that the magazines were clearly the issue. I also explained that I preferred not to have to send the pistol in again, which would mean more time without the pistol in my possession and another disrupted day of work when the pistol was sent back. At this point Sig offered me a measly 20% discount to buy new magazines outright or to follow through with a full warranty and send the pistol into them. So now here I am. Sending my pistol in for warranty service again, for the third time in a year and the second time in as many months. I used to third highly of Sig and believed them to make quality products which they stood by. Unfortunately my confidence is lost. I advise those in the market to be cautious and consider another brand of pistol. read more

I have yet to get my hands on my first Sig, a Legion P226 per my local FFL transfer process, but the service that I have gotten so far from Sig Sauer is top notch. I love the customer service that I get from telephone support reps and the shipping time from their website is great; I get my orders about a day ahead of scheduled. I hope to own many more firearms from this company in the future. read more

I have owned several Sig pistols and rifles over the last 20 years. I am head of Security at a school and last week my Model 229 .357 SIG stopped firing. This 229 had less than 200 rounds fired through it and the firing pine was broken in half. I bought the gun in 1997 but it has sat in a gun vault for 20 years as I have always used my 220 Sig. I called SIG and the customer rep told me that since the gun was 20 years old they would not send me a firing pin because metal gets old and the springs were under constant tension. This is such BS, and because of this I am done with SIG. The firing pin is only $20 but his explanation and excuse was such an insult. I have an additional 1994 229 in .40 caliber that has had a few thousands of rounds through it and it has never had a firing pin problem. Also I would like to mention the Sig 7.62X39 rifle I bought in 2011. It would not feed or extract and in spite of it coming with a plastic AK mag the manual warned me not to use any steel Ak mags because they would ruin the aluminum receiver. I sold it and the guy that bought it said it went back to SIG several times and never got fixed. I love SIG pistols but they are now living on their name. i am a gun guy have been from birth...x military disabled veteran too...i own 8 sig weapons, but every time i call sig customer service i get a bunch of lip and a big fat no we wont help you...mostly over p226 magazines,they are the worst!!! (made in usa stamped on side) i run only 9 rounds with a 5 mag 30 day rotation and they still fail. first call this year to sig customer service he told me sig magazines would only last 12 months then throw them away!!!! just got off the phone with sig customer service a girl,,,i requested to send these last two magazines back,,,they were shipped to me about a year ago for review...i was told we cant keep sending out magazines...dont even want to look at them...i own over 900+ weapons all makes...these mags you dive on the ground,the bullets will jumble in the mag like a jig saw puzzle...no way you will get a second shot...day to day i have to reload every morning...9 rounds just to try to prevent a ftf in the event i need that weapon....the mk25 p226 exterme are fine sidearms,much better than the p320 that i own as well(p320 only firearm ive ever owned that fired a round through my wall on its own) but sig customer service and there p266 magazines are horrible!!!!!!!!!! done with sig again!!!! ****buy fn fnx 45 best pistol on the market!!!! fn stands behind their weapons....world most battle proven firearms ...fn. read more

Today I feel like a long term friend has died. For years I have recommended the Sig Sauer brand to my students and friends. I know many of you have purchased these firearms for yourself. My family owns numerous different models and we even had a couple on order. As an instructor, I feel I need to apologize for the students I encouraged to purchase this brand. I had a problem with one of my guns, a P238, that many of my students have shot. I was informed by a Sig customer rep that these guns have a very short life span. It was suggested that since I purchased mine in 2009 that I replace it. At minimum I needed to pay $55.00 for shipping to return it to them and then pay to have the gun refurbished. I was pretty certain it just needed the recoil spring replaced. I was also informed, by the Sig customer service rep, that if these recoil springs are not replaced annually your warranty is voided. This was news to me. Luckily since I am a Sig Dealer I was able to purchase another spring, even though they were out of stock to the general public on thier website. Im so sorry to all of you that I recommended this brand to. I had no idea that their life span, according to sig, was so short. I have many guns that are 50 years old or more. I guess Kimber micro or Colt mustang would be a good option to the P238, they stand behind their products for years ,as do companies such as Ruger and Smith and Wesson and Kahr Firearms Group. I will not be recommending SIG SAUER to any more students and if you need to replace yours or sell it we would be more than happy to help without a big expense. read more

Bought a Sig AR15 upper model 516. It arrived fine but short the buffer and recoil spring that was suppose to be included. Got on the phone and the guy sounded like he would get right on it. Several days later I got a FedEx Ground shipping notification with a delivery date in two weeks. I should have had a complete rifle instead I have to wait. I think I'm being generous giving them 3 stars but I really like their products. Just need to have better customer service. read more

Customer service Inept and absent. katelyn answers for Mr Cohen but will not put you through and keeps trying to bump you back to the same old customer service rep when your clearly are unhappy with what is taking place. Inconsistent responses to your questions and when I asked to speak with gun smith about my gun in as i have figured out what is causing the chattermarks along the sharp apex of the barrel there answer was, its are policy that you cannot talk to our smiths, a lot of faith they have in there smiths. Possibly the will say something unscripted about there over priced individually untested pistols which I feel clearly can present a saftey hazard in itself.Bottom line this is the first and last product from this manufacturer I will be making. And by the way I believe sig purchases there investment castings for there pistols from RUGER! and they test every pistol and firearm they make. Purchased a brand new Sig Sauer P290RS in 9mm, August 2015. After about 400 rounds the left grip, which slides up into the frame and is pinned at the lower back corner became very loose and moved in the frame. I took it back to the dealer who sent it back to Sig at my cost. When I got the gun back, right out of the box the grip still moved within the frame, it was much better, but not fixed. Gunsmith repair notes were that the grip was adjusted. I sent it back to Sig and when I got it back it was exactly the same as when I sent it back. The gunsmith notes were that the grip was within factory spec. I have never heard of a gun manufacturer claiming that movement of a grip in the frame was acceptable and within their factory Quality Specifications! It is supposed to be fixed and rigid in the frame! If it moves it will wear and move even more over time and with use. I took the gun to 3 separate and unaffiliated dealers, including Gander Mountain. All stated that the grip fit was unacceptable and they would not sell it in it's current condition. The gun shoots great but Sig's customer service and warranty are totally useless if you have a problem! read more

placed an order for a LEO Sig P220 with crimson trace laser grips once the pistol arrived at my local FFL dealer on 03/08/2017 I noticed that it didn't have the crimson trace laser grips so I called Rob Ryan at Quantico tactical he told me to leave the pistol at my FFL dealers store .And he would contact SIG for a resolution, I received an email from rob on 03/09/2017 stating that I should pick up the pistol. He told me sig was going to send them the crimson trace laser grips and once Quantico tactical received the grips from sig they were going to send the grips to me. I told him thank you drove back to my gun dealer to take position of the pistol. The next day on 03/10/2017 I received a call from rob stating that in fact the grips weren't going to be shipped out and offered me a discount t on my next firearms order .
