Great sales, range, and member staff! A wonderful building on top of that. Wow, I really want to have a review giving kudos to a single person, but I'd have to list everybody that I have worked with. If I have to exclude everybody else, fine, John is awesome! He makes amazing coffee. But if I was going to be realistic, I would have a list of their entire staff in this review. My biggest complaint may be the AC in the sales section, it tends to get way too warm during the hot days, which is disappointing. The range experience is great, when I ask for something exciting to try, they always have an honest answer and something new to try out. Additionally, their RSOs are awesome when on the range, always offering their time and suggestions. It's great having an expert provide solicited advice. The club is also great, they are really making the best out of their space and offering. I do wish that they would hold non-club special events in the event space rather than the lounge, but to be honest, most members are hanging out in the range rather than upstairs in the lounge, so it spends a lot of its time with low occupancy, which is great for members that want to get some work done between range visits. I look forward to trying out their outdoor ranges, they just opened up to members and I hope to try them out soon! read more

Sig Sauer is a combination store, mini-museum, gun range, and training center. The store, predictably, carries Sig products, from pistols to optics to misc accessories. Staff are extremely helpful about product inquiries without being pushy salespeople. The mini museum has a company history, which is mostly used to brag about winning recent government contracts. The gun range charges $20 per person/lane. Rentals are cheap, from $5-10 for each rental. This is an indoor range with electronic target return. It looks incredibly polished and modern, like a training range in an action or cop movie. It also has the largest air circulation system I've seen, which should help with lead exposure considerably. read more

First visit and purchase at the Flag Ship store. Incredible facility, fast and friendly service. Very very knowledgeable and helpful. Had me processed quickly and efficiently! Never pushing any other items on me which I liked. Super clean store with everything a shooter or hunter needs, plus a nice little cafe to grab a coffee while your fed form is processing. What a beautiful building. I had been looking around and found I wanted a SIG and found they gave a flagship store in NH. Let the excitement roll in! This place is just down the street from the dragway and it'll be on the left side of the road. Even the exterior of the building was beautiful to look at and even better inside. The facility is very new at a young 9 months with high ceilings and beautiful lighting and just an amazing setup. There's a huge selection hung along the walls and display cases. The associates are very helpful and friendly. There's apparel as well and they also carry their own air line. They also have a small Cafe inside more the center back of the building just before you get to the range check in. The range is clean and they are all very professional and happy to help you with anything. I got to test out what I was considering getting and also a very cool AR with a silencer attachment. It was definitely a fun day and we're definitely going back again soon. read more

This is a great building with a great store. I would recommend not bringing any form of payment with you or else you will buy something expensive for certain. No amount of willpower can resist the walls of great weapons for sale, the countless rows of accessories and ammo at an OK price. The sales and support staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The indoor range is pretty nice, clean and clear and the outdoor range is pretty unique. Took the handgun/pistol 101 course with Justin C. He was an excellent instructor who created the course curriculum for Sig Sauer; he knew his stuff (former police officer from the mid-west), and was very relate-able. Even if you have experience with handguns, they recommend you take this course as a means of baselining knowledge. As a result, I didn't feel like I got a ton out of the course; a half-day level-setting course would have been better suited, but that's very subjective based on someone's experience. My wife has had less exposure/experience, so this course was perfect for her. The hands-on range experience was the highlight. Practical application, exposure to live-fire, etc. I appreciated the disassemble and maintenance lesson after range time, good to get a better understanding of the inner workings of the device. I think it would benefit them to reduce the cost of the 101 course to get more people in the door, and slightly increase the cost of the follow-on courses to off-set. $250/pp isn't overly expensive, but I'd say it may be cost prohibitive to individuals just looking to learn more but are unsure of their comfort level with firearms. Taking the 101 course would likely increase their comfort level, and open the door to further education. In the course we took, there were several classmates that had.... worrisome expectations/perspectives (about their rights and situations they should have/use a firearm). While the instructor addressed these fairly well (IMO), I think these (likely not uncommon) topics should be included formally in the 101 course curriculum. The instructor did indicate that these subjects were addressed more fully in handgun 103 (self-defense), but for those not progressing their education, I think this is rather important to touch on (simply based on the questions and comments made by others at the end of the day Q&A). I'll say that I'm fortunate that this training is available in the new england area. A couple in the training flew up from DC, stating that they looked for training closer to home, and there wasn't any. I wrongly assumed similar training was offered in various metropolitan areas. In summary, handgun 101 was a great course for novice individuals. Definitely recommend Justin C. as an instructor. If you're interested in learning more about handguns but are hesitant, this is the place to start. read more

I've shot 50 years and had to take the 101 class for a MA ccw license. I learned a ton. Instructors are qualified and disciplined, they stick tightly to the curriculum. No attitudes, all help. I am approaching geezer so I'm not sure I need, sig303 climbing barricades, quick roping and rapid fire.......but If you have a child, spouse who needs some help, or want to become a sniper, they've got you covered what a curriculum. 5 star in a 1 star world. read more

Hands down one of the coolest places I've ever had the privilege of visiting. From the pro shop to the amazing training facilities, this is truly a one of a kind place to train, shop and learn more whether you're a beginner or in the FBI. I can't say enough about how understanding and cool the instructors are, and they are with you every step of the way when you need or just to offer helpful suggestions on how to improve and how to be as safe as possible. There are SO many different classes to choose from and they span across a ton of different on site facilities suited for different experiences. This place is like heaven if you're a Sig Sauer fan! I was on a road trip to Vermont with my family and accidentally/on purpose drove through Exeter, NH. I own Sig products so this was like a visit to the mother ship. I expected the shop to be good but it was awesome and far exceeded my expectations. The Pro Shop and the Academy are located adjacent to each other on the property. I did not attend the Academy. The shop itself has just about every product they make on display. To make things even better everything is there for you to handle except for handguns. The rifles on display are set up with various optics, sights, rail accessories, etc. I was with my son who could barely contain himself and kept waiting for someone to come and escort us out as my son did his best operator impression with rifle in hand. Not a eye brow was raised, very different from the state I live in. When I did ask to see a handgun the staff was friendly and more than happy to assist. Aaron Clark provided some in depth knowledge on one of the new models I have my eyes on and was sure to tell me about the LEO/MIL discount they offer as well as shipping to any FFL dealer. A place like this makes me want to move to a state like NH but if you can just hold the snow. Overall an awesome experience and I even bought a few souvenirs to take home LOL. read more

Sig Sauer Academy - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Epping, New Hampshire

I have been to the Pro Shop and the Academy on a few occasions. This review will be split between the two. Sig Sauer Academy So far, I have completed two courses there. I did Rifle 101 and Handgun 101. They are entry level classes. There was a strong emphasis on safety and fundamentals, which is a great thing for entry level classes. I know that the format will be a bit different as you progress, but for those two classes, the mornings were spent in the classroom talking about safety, nomenclature, and background. The afternoons were spent on specifics to that firearm as well as range time. I thoroughly enjoyed the format. During the range portion, you get valuable feedback from the instructor on each course of fire. As far as the specific instructors that I had, they were each amazing. My instructor for Rifle 101 was prior service Air Force who retired as an E8 or E9-his name was Michael S. My instructor for Handgun 101 was Jenn G, who is currently a police officer, she shared a wealth of information that was a blend of info from her being an active police officer and being a firearm instructor for SIg. They kept the teaching environment relaxed, yet focused. I have never felt as comfortable handling firearms as I did during those classes, which ended up translating to comfort after class at my range. Cost: not too bad. It was $230 for an 8hr (all day) course, if you book a class within 14-15 days of completing a course, you get I think 20% off with the discount code on the back of the certificate. Overall, I plan on attending every class that I can at Sig. Since my schedule can change at the drop of a hat, I keep an eye on their openings for my days off. The instruction was great, the facilities are top-notch, and the environment was relaxed in demeanor yet focused on the task at hand. I'll definitely be back. My lone gripe isn't about Sig-I wish IL recognized the training at Sig Sauer Academy towards the education requirement for concealed carry permit. The Pro Shop This place is dangerous, but only to my bank account. The staff members are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. After Rifle 101, I ended up picking up the pistol I had been eyeing after having a chance to talk to a staff member about my options and what I wanted in a pistol (as well as my hand size). The staff members helped me find the pistol that would fit my needs and my hands the best. The student price/discount is pretty nice too. They sell gift type items as well-I have bought a hoodie, coffee mugs, a beer stein, as well as firearm related items. When I arrived for Handgun 101, I bought the items I would need for Handgun 102-a holster, magazine pouches, and additional magazines. I got input from a staff member about which light for my pistol...and took his recommendation. It fits the pistol perfectly. The shop carries (I think) the full lineup of Sig Sauer products. If my second pistol purchase doesn't come from my local gun shop, it will probably come from the Pro Shop after a course. Over the next few years, I will probably spend the bulk of my tax refunds split between the Academy and the Pro Shop. read more

Sig Sauer is like my Mecca. My first pistol was a P239 the day I turned 21 and now my Sigs have multiplied like rabbits and proudly own 3 others and of course with plans to get more. Sig Sauer Academy offers fantastic training opportunities on their impressive range with classes that will test your ability to shoot at a very basic level to shooting targets out to 1000 yards. With a wide variety of classes, the instructors have all been top notch. There's no point in owning a firearm for self defense if you aren't able to maximize your effectiveness with it, so you should definitely train with the best. The best part of taking a class with Sig Sauer is you get 20% of retail for everything they sell and future classes within 20 days. That's always a nice incentive for me to keep coming back despite the crazy drive I have to do in order to experience these classes. read more

If you are a shooting enthusiast and are interested in either fire arms or fire arm training courses, this is the place to be. The selection is limited to Sig Sauer fire arms, but they have almost every model on display and qualified salespeople to answer questions, help with selections of models, etc. They are generally familiar with fire arm transaction rules and can ship to a local F.F.L. They also offer a full range of accessories as well as clothing and other "souvenir" type items. The shooting classes are generally 8-hour sessions and may be multiple days, so plan to stay at a nearby hotel in Portsmouth unless living locally. read more

$250 plus purchase of their ammo wasn't worth it.... The positives were how the instructors were very nice, knowledgeable and kept everyone safe. The complaint is I feel for $250 plus, I could of hired some of my friends who were in the military and went to their range for a lot less money, while walking away knowing more. The kicker for this review is their class page is not clear that $250 doesn't include ammo. They don't tell you you can bring your own ammo and/or guns. I would of preferred that. When I spoke with 2 reps they said there was nothing they could do for me. I will not be taking another class with them, recommending my friends who have signed up for future classes to actually take them and will not be purchasing their products. read more

I attended Handgun 101 today, Justin was the instructor. This class exceeded my expectations and the classroom and range environment were not at all intimidating. By the end of it I was more comfortable and confident around firearms. Justin took the time to answer questions, walk the class through absolutely every step and make sure we really understood. It was nice to be able to handle the firearm prior to heading to the indoor range - it made range time more comfortable. I'm definitely taking the Handgun 102 class. Also I highly recommend visiting the Pro shop. Everyone there is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. read more

I have been a student at Sig Sauer Academy several times over the past 3 years, and all I can say is, if your life might depend on your ability to accurately defend yourself with or without a weapon -- you need to go here. Period. Instructors are all top notch, and include many active and former military, law enforcement (including Federal officers), etc. All know their stuff love to teach others, and are patient. They don't care what brand you shoot, just that you know how to shoot for your life. If you have a handgun but haven't had much instruction, try the Handgun 102 course, followed by the 103 course. At this writing they cost about $195 each plus ammo, which is cheap because the class size is limited. Shotgun? Rifle or carbine? They have everything from orientation classes (beginning with, "this is a shotgun..." to advanced tactical training. Want to learn how to defend yourself in low light environments? If someone is shooting back? If you have to shoot from the inside of, or from the outside into, a car? Do you want to shoot competitively for IDPA and need a course on what that's about? Or do you need to shoot the qualifier? This list can go on, and on, and every single instructor they have there is just phenomenal. The new Pro Shop is open from 10am to 6pm, and the guys who run that are great. Buy a new front sight for your Sig P220, and they might have some time to put it on for you. They now offer Sig Sauer Custom Shop services there. Yes, customization of your firearm while you wait. Thinking about getting your license to carry? Handgun 101 is the way to go, and it is Mass compliant for us citizens of the People's Republic. At the end of the day, everybody at this academy is focused on getting you from where you are, to where you OUGHT to be. Check out their website, and give them a call if you are interested. You get a discount of 20% if you book another class after you take one there (you need to get to them within a couple of days of completing that class). You also get 20% off from the Pro Shop. My wife and I are new to shooting and we attended the handgun 102 and 103 class. They were both excellent. Tim Arnold was a great instructor, and JC took extra time to instruct my wife on the operation of an unfamiliar weapon. Both vere very clear, and very patient and way overqualified but no egos or arrogance and they seemed legitamently happy that we were taking the time and money to invest in our firearms education. The other class attendees were all excellent, friendly, patient, and safe people as well. Approximately 12 people per class with a 75/25 men to woman ratio. Also, classes are not a big promotion for Sig Sauer products. There was less than no promotion of Sig Sauer products. Easy to get to from boston. Hampton Inn in Stratford was an excellent place to stay nearby as well. I can't wait to get back and do more classes. Do it! read more

My husband and son took a rifle class there last weekend. The instructors were excellent. However, they dropped the price for the class from $250 to $150. When I called I was told the were running a "special" but there was NOTHING stating that on there website. They refused to refund me but offered to add $100 credit on a future class. This is world class training facility and it keeps growing and expanding. I started training here 4-5 years ago and they just keep getting better. I have taken their Range Master course which was an excellent course and I rent the facility out for private military training. I took two shotgun classes at Sig and had the same instructor Tim for both ,He was excellent.I knew nothing about shotguns and he couldn't have been more patient .He was very knowledgeable but able to get his information across in a manner that was so chill Tim is intelligent and experienced and after listening to him for five minutes you realize its going to be a great day.He has a great love and respect for shooting and that comes across in class and while shooting on the range.I would recommend both of these classes shotgun ,101 and 102 .You won't be disappointed .
