Our GE refrigerator wasn't cooling properly, although the freezer was working. I had contacted several other places all of which were busy until the following week. Even though David was fully booked the day I called, he understood what a predicament I was in and kindly offered to squeeze me in after his other appointments. My GE washer was in need of repair and the Home Depot Protection Plan sent David from Sifu Systems to diagnose the problem. David was awesome, so professional and friendly. The problem was erosion of the tub. Since it was a problem that the Plan would not cover, David suggested alternative measures to try to clear the clogged problem. He went the extra mile so if it works we could save a lot of money which was very thoughtful of him. Since we have to let the solution sit for a day or so, we don't know if it will solve the problem. "Great" would be an understatement. David is quick to respond and thoughtfully explains what is going on with the Ice MakerMonster that dwells in my Whirlpool refrigerator. The machine was up and running with the replacement of a timer/controller instead of an entire ice making machine replacement (which would have made for two ice maker monsters and a definitely higher invoice). I heard about David and decided to call him on a Samsung fridge that was given to me. It was just outside of the two year warranty. The friend that had given it to me said one repair man gave it a try, but before discarding the beautiful stainless steel fridge which looks really nice, I decided to call David. He came out on a Sunday morning which was great. He assessed the fridge recognized the defect and advised me that the first repair man did the right thing but this model unfortunately is notorious for the defect and he would not, and could not charge for something he knew could not ultimately be fixed. He was honest, informative and did not charge for the visit. I appreciate the candor about the product. I gave him a little for his time and gas; I would highly recommend him. He could have charged me and made something up. But he obviously stands behind his work and knew I'd have to call him repeatedly to continue repairs. And that would not give him a good reputation in the business. As it stands, he was straight up and honest. My gas stovetop needed to be converted from Natural Gas mode to LPG mode. I called David. He listened. He told me he's busy and if I want faster service then I have to go get the conversion kit myself at Reliable Parts. I did. He came out. He converted my stovetop. Stovetop is now working great. So happy, all around with the experience I had with Sifu! I called David at after purchasing a used washer and dryer on Facebook, which both ended up not working when I got them home. David was quick to schedule me within the same week and was clear about what he does as well as his prices (which were absolutely reasonable!). David is great! He's saved us money, by being able to fix our GE refrigerator, instead of having to buy a new one! He also worked on our LG washer, ended up not fixing because it was only a chime that wasn't loud anymore and HomeDepot warranty wouldn't cover that. He also fixed our GE oven, which the self cleaning lock was stuck, and we couldn't open it. He was able to get a replacement for the automatic lock, and install without issue. Our GE oven was over 13 years old at the time, but is still working fine till today. It's nice option, self cleaning our oven 2-3 times a year, depending on how dirty it gets. David is honest, and responds quickly. we definitely call him first, if we have any appliance issues. Save money and call him first, there is a charge to diagnose, but it could save you $$$$ in the end. read more

He kept his word, arrived on time and cleaned/serviced my washing machine (which hadn't been done in forever). Price was reasonable too! I have 2 toddlers and wash clothes constantly. He discovered the reason why water kept pooling in the gasket and cleaned it all out and fixed the problem!!! SIX STARS!!  My Whirlpool refrigerator was leaking water from the water filter and I went right down the list of appliance repair companies listed on the internet and Yelp.  I called or email Apex Appliance, Ohana Appliance, Ali'I Appliance, and Akamai.  Apex advertises that they respond in 5 hours, and it's only been 3 months right now.  Akamai  called me back and said he's in the middle of a job and he'll call me back.  Gook luck to that one.  Ali'I Appliance responded and sent the tech to my home.  They said the tech would be there between 8-12.  He never bothered to call saying he would be late and arrived at 4:30 in the afternoon.  Both my wife and I make over $50 an hour which amounts to $400 each of wasted time for us.  Why even take off from work if he's going to be that late.  When the tech arrived he looked at the problem and said he needs to order the part from the mainland and I told him to air freight it in as the part is very light.  Guess what he never ordered the part.  I contacted the company for an update two weeks later and never got a reply.  REAL PROFESSIONALISM. Going down the list I called Sifu Sytems.  The tech is the owner (David) of the company and he took a look at the problem.  He adjusted something and told us if it still leaks let him know and he'll be back.  There still was a slow leak as we found out the incoming plastic water line was cracked.  David went down to Reliable Parts and got the replacement line and fixed the problem for us.  This whole process took about 3 months starting in January calling and waiting from one company to the next.  My advise for anyone that reads this review is to call Sifu Systems first for any type of appliance repair.  You'll get a timely response and reasonable bill for the work done at your home.  For all of the other companies that seemed to busy to respond,  it's not always going to be this busy and I hope readers will call Sifu Systems first. First of all David is a people person...very personable. Makes a huge difference when your tech explains the process and charges. David was extremely responsive to every call and text leading up to repair day. He provided a fair quote...compared to other companies. Gave me a range since there can always be something else wrong once the repair is underway. On the day of the appointment...David texted he was on his way...well within the appointment window. Arrived very professionally dressed...mask on...vaccination card available upon request...ready to work. Luckily our issue was a pretty straight forward broken water dispenser line...which could be repaired without having to dismantle too much. Within about 20 mins David had our Kenmore fridge back up and dispensing water. Due to the time and parts involved...he ended up charging us a little less than originally quoted. As we all know...that almost never happens in today's business climate. I will definately be calling David again for my next appliance repair.
