As far as the Senior Dentist Jamie Sanders - she seemed eager to make it right but my records were already exposed. Aside from this; the office is small and as a patient, I could hear everyone's dental needs due to the lack of walls protecting people's personal dental privacy needs. I heard courses of action, proceedings on medications; so forth and so on. Also, the technology for X-rays is just not there. On a positive: The technicians on the floor are super friendly and do try to help make each patient comfortable. The office is in a great location (right off the 10 freeway) and the entrance/consumer seating area was super quaint and comfortable. I decided to seek other dentistry experts for my dental needs. Perhaps this is a lesson for the future and patients can try this place in hopes that their rights are not violated also. Thanks for reading.

The cleaning experience Is always great. However, I'm not…read moresure what exactly happened to this place. I usually come in for x-rays, cleaning, and I fill in my front tooth which I chip frequently with some sort of enamel and a UV light hardener. It's nothing permanent, but I'm OK with that. I'm normally taken care of the same exact day, but this time was a little different. The new dentist said she didn't have enough time to take care of me and that was that. They didn't fill my tooth, which is specifically what I came in for, but they were too busy to do it. Despite me calling the same day of my appointment and asking if they had an opening. It was clearly just a hand into my pocket as if they needed to make a quick $200 off some x-rays and the cleaning. Now it feels like it's more about the sale and less about the smiles. I've been a client since 2011. The most wonderful and original dentist passed away recently. This place has made a turn for the worst. Wouldn't recommend anymore.

Again, after my consultation, I was waiting for the office staff to come speak with me about the cost of cleaning. Yes, I have to go back a second time to complete the cleaning, which is frustrating and inconvenient, but it could be worse. Yes, I was asked to put a deposit down for the cleaning, but I am sure this is because many people do not follow through. Again, it might be a minor inconvenience, but knowing I have the appointment is worth it, and they know I will be there. Great location easy to get in and out of the complex. I also have to say that several other patients were established that had a quick turnover compared to my initial visit, so I would say that overall, once you get past the initial visit, things will change within the office in the time you were there.

I called and booked a basic cleaning/exam. New patient. 79$ deal. Spoke to them a few times on the phone to confirm date and time. I'm New to the area so still trying to find the perfect match for me. They never mentioned anything about it only being an exam, to see if you qualify for a cleaning. And there is a chance they may not do one. Never mentioned once. I figured having a basic cleaning Shouldn't be an issue since I had a deep scaling and cleaning done 3-4 months ago. They refused to let me get a basic cleaning. They spent an hour and a half doing everything but a cleaning. Basically fishing for any and all things they can charge me for. And trying to fill Me with fear that all other dentists I've gone to don't know what they are doing - yet they are the saving grace and had all the answers to problems, nobody else knew to conquer. Pushing fear about all these new findings. ( that weren't there 4 months ago ) Claiming that a basic cleaning could severely risk my health and well being and they absolutely cannot do one under any circumstance. Even though every other dentist I've ever seen in my entire 49 years of appointments regularly, have been able to perform a basic cleaning with no problem whatsoever. I regularly get cleanings. Never had a cavity. Or major issues. But waited a little longer than I'd hoped to get a deep scaling done. You'd think I was an ex crack head and had major infections to address and it was dangerous for them to proceed. Dentists are horrible these days and it's hard to find really honest ones. They have a quota to meet and they try to add it on to every patient that walks in the door. Pushing unnecessary treatment plans and loads of fear mongering to create never ending reasons for a patient to come back and drop more money. You're better off to find an independent hygienist that doesn't have quotas to meet and can be transparent about what's needed. Lesson learned for the future on my part. There were several opportunities for them to be transparent about the appointment. 2 prior phone calls and in person form signing at the desk. Plus several people in the chair prior to the exam when I again asked and communicated my situation. I was completely ignored and funneled into a hustle session. I made it clear why I was there and what I needed from the start. They chose to be dodgy about communicating- didn't even mention they may not be able to and or weren't gonna do a cleaning - until it was too late for me to cancel and leave. l got duped and walked out with no cleaning done. Just a treatment plan for all new "findings" the "advanced AI" machine locates, that of course magically appeared within 4 months. Didn't have any of these issues within the last year of appointments/scans and X-rays I've had. They are the first dentist in 49 years to not be able to perform a basic cleaning on me. Ridiculous to think I need to get another deep cleaning just under 4 months after I had already had one? Who does that. As if it won't hurt to wait a little longer to let my bank account rest. The next day - the Manager on phone agreed that the team should have communicated to me what the protocol was prior , but took zero accountability for the fact that all 6 people I engaged with prior, chose not to. Any dentist that can't take ownership of their lack of transparency and communications for a new patient and protocols - is sketchy. Honesty will get you everywhere. Scamming people will cost you clientele

I called the next morning and they said they could fit me in 4 weeks from then for a follow up. Problem: it felt like I had a really bad infection. So I walked in the next day. I told the front desk what happened- she said there was going to be a bit of a wait. Understood. An hour in (I'm the only one in the waiting room crying from pain) and my fiancé asked her how much longer. Her response: we have other appointments. I get that. But I wouldn't have done an emergency walk in if our appt wasn't canceled (out of their control- but still) They get me back 10 minutes later- took a few hand held X-rays of my teeth, then dentist comes in. He took the blunt end of a metal tool and tapped on my teeth to confirm how badly they hurt in two parts. Told me I had an infection in the root canal , and that my back tooth had pretty bad decay- so they referred me to endo. First concern- I was already crying in the chair from pain and he tried to prescribe Motrin and amoxicillin. I had to ask for something stronger - not a huge concern, but still. Second concern- the endodontics place they referred me to was scheduling out a month. I called 3 locations to try and get something sooner. Third concern- i got a second opinion at ultra dental. Turns out i had an infection going up and into my sinus cavity and the back tooth had a cavity under the crown and on the nerve. They got me in same day for evaluation and offered same day service when I called to schedule extractions. I also learned that redoing a root canal can increase chances of failure a 2nd time. I don't know what I would've done if I didn't go to ultra. I work in customer service and am pretty patient, but this time around- risas really let me down and i didn't feel a sense of urgency or care when it came to getting treatment. Even though ive had good past experiences with risas- this experience left such a bad taste in my mouth i wont be returning.
