It has been my go-to for formal wear, Iowa Hawkeye gear, shoes, accessories, swimwear and more over the years. But this summer they changed their return policy. I think a lot of it is pretty standard... - Return within 90 days with a receipt: Receive purchase price back to original form of payment - Return after 90 days with receipt or anytime with a gift receipt: Receive purchase price as merchandise credit only. - Return without a receipt: Receive current selling price as merchandise credit only. My issue with this change is with their new FINAL SALE policy. - They cut the tags off your brand new items to ensure you can't return them. Therefore my newly purchased, never worn item that I just so happened to score a great deal on... looks not new. Possible pre-owned. What if I planned to gift someone that item? Don't they deserve to know it hasn't been worn and is right off the rack? (Or in my case, I got a supposedly unworn bikini without any tags... which was unexpected. And kind of weirded me out.) If you need to scribble on the tag, over the barcode-- go for it. But I go to Von Maur for the experience and the unique items sold there. It is tacky and off brand to send new items sans tag. (And when I contacted customer service to express my opinion about said two piece. I was basically shrugged off.) I buy plenty of thrift items for myself and even they include a tag... just sayin. This would be a two star, just because of how I feel about the new changes. But I still stand by Von Maur as a quality store. This change may stop me from getting certain items here now. Shopping at Windsor today, 5 pm on a Saturday and experienced the worst customer service ever…read more There was a very long wait for the fitting rooms, we waited for twenty minutes and were halfway to fitting rooms when their employee started scolding the entire store like we were misbehaving children- she yelled for everyone to hear, stating we all lost privileges to the fitting rooms because people aren't picking up after themselves so fitting rooms were closed. Many people mentioned how long they've been waiting as well as the fact people were polite in line and again were told we all lost our privileges to a fitting room and if we don't like it we can leave- exactly what was done not only losing a lot of business today but future sales as well. Looking at Google reviews this is a huge trend of this store so I question if it's policy and acceptable since it is a long standing complaint but its terrible business. There are too many options of where to spend our hard earned money to do so at a place that treats customers so terrible- fitting rooms aren't a privilege, it's a must prior to people handing over their hard earned money for your merchandise. I will never return or reccomend abd hoping to save someone the frustration we went through wasting our time in this store today.

I find this to be the case at the Edgewood Rd. location in nearby Cedar Rapids, too. I visited the location at Coral Ridge Mall today for undergarments. Specifically, shapewear. Very picked over in this area, but I did find something that will work. Finding an open dressing room was another story. Most of them are closed, so you might have to wait to try things on. Customer service has always been outstanding here, albeit hard pushes for their credit card. Today I was asked twice about saving 30%. I finally had to respond by saying, "I don't use credit cards." I know employees are only doing their job, but saying 'no' once is all it should take. Store is typically clean and tidy, at least through the week when I shop. Merchandising hasn't changed at the Coral Ridge Mall location since my visit a month ago. Displays and inventory all looked the same. Nothing new caught my eye in the women's clothing departments. It appears that once they've stocked for the season, that's it. I spent several years in retail, so maybe this is just more noticeable to me. A do have a complaint as far as a company policy is concerned: any rebates you earn (say around Black Friday) are given to you via a Visa debit card. These Visa cards have a very short period of time in which they can be used. I received a rebate card of $10 in December and the card expired in June of 2022. 6 months is not long.

Don't bother looking for anything a size 12 or higher, there's not going to be much. Which is odd, as the company promotes diversity and inclusion. Overall vibe is weird, but the clothing is a favorite of mine. I'm probably not going to come back to this particular store, and just stick to online.

The woman at the register seemed annoyed when I was asking about it and alluded that I had a choice to return it or wait until they successfully removed it. They final removed the device with scissors and thankfully didn't damage the product as the few remaining pieces on the rack in my size showed scuffs/marks on them. My issues are mangement should have provided the sales associates with a working machine to remove the magnetic device. And the woman at the register should be much much more customer-centric. I've brought in all kinds of things over the years -- scrubs, dresses, shirts, pants -- and they always do a great job. They're very knowledgeable about different fabrics (whether it's thick, stretchy, delicate, etc.), so pricing can vary depending on what you bring in. But they're always upfront and explain everything clearly, which I really appreciate. Turnaround time is fast and they're very punctual, but if you're in a real rush, they do offer a fair upcharge for expedited service. Still, I'd definitely recommend giving them at least a week or two, especially if you've got a dance or special event coming up. They'll let you know right away what's realistic and always follow through. Just a heads up -- it's cash or check only, but totally worth the extra step. Couldn't recommend them more!
