Spent some time shopping with my oldest daughter for Homecoming....although it's July it's never to early...They have all of the colors and I believe I saw some dresses here that were featured on Beverly Hills 90210. I favored the pink section because I am a Barbie Girl at heart....but there are ALL of the colors of the rainbow for the big, tall, and small...so you better get your butt to the mall. read more

Stopped by today (Saturday afternoon) and the store was definitely on the quiet side -- not many shoppers around, which honestly made it a pretty chill browsing experience. I spent most of my time looking at shoes. They had a decent variety, but a lot of styles could be found online for $20-30 cheaper. Pretty typical department store markup, so not a huge surprise, but something to keep in mind if you're looking for the best deal. That said, the service was great -- the employees were friendly and asked if we needed help without being pushy. It's always nice when staff check in but still let you browse at your own pace. Overall, if you like seeing things in person before you buy, it's a solid option. Just know you might pay a little extra for the convenience. I decided to go to Dillard's to look at their makeup products and then to browse in their shoe department. No one was around to help at the makeup counter, so I just looked and then proceeded onto looking in their shoe department. A very nice man by the name of Alex was working in the shoe department and he was very helpful with answering some questions I had about some sandals they had for sale that I was interested in. I didn't end up buying any sandals but it was nice to look at what they had to offer and their prices. The store appeared pretty clean as well as well-organized. Ok, ok. I have to give a shout out to my mom. SHE is what makes my experiences at Dillard's a four star experience. An avid newspaper reader, she always sees when they are having their big sales. An additional 50% off clearance?! Yes, please! Purses... shoes... jewelry... dresses... jeans... I mean you name it, I've gotten super cheap but trendy merchandise here. Very unique and name brand items live at this department store. But be warned, you will be shopping a season behind. (Which isn't a huge deal to me, personally.) My higher rating could be because of the numerous 'girls only' shopping trips with my mom over the years. Or perhaps that I got my sophomore... and junior homecoming dresses here. It's been a go-to of mine for over a decade, looking for that 'special' dress-- no matter the occasion. Without my mom-- I have found it tricky to find when things are going on sale. And selection CAN be hit or miss. Their prices are a bit steep unless you're searching for sales. But their online selection is wonderful (and sales apply there, too). read more

Dillard's at Coralridge Mall has the most helpful, courteous customer service of any store in The mall. The merchandise is always neat, tidy, organized and easy to locate. Associates are eager to help, knowledgeable and very friendly. On one occasion, I observed a young woman patiently helping an older woman find just the right handbag that her wallet and cell phone would fit in, never showing irritation, but instead, spending well over 30 minutes helping the woman. Another time, a man was looking for a gift for his wife. She had given him a short list of items she liked but he was confused as to colors. The saleswoman (by listening to his description of his wife & by looking at an image of her) helped him to find the perfect hues to compliment his wife's coloring. She even suggested little extras he could add to the gift to make it all mesh together. I've read some not so nice reviews here, and in my opinion, they seem to have been written out of spite or perhaps just plain nastiness. The complaints seem superficial and without giving Dillard's a venue here, they help no one. To the young women expecting security to let them into the store to pick up their keys/gift card...it's store policy that no one, for no reason is allowed back into the store. Any found objects are locked away immediately after finding them and they cannot be given to the owner without proof of ownership, not to mention they must be given back by a store manager during store hours. Security is not there to be your best friend. When the doors are locked, security has orders not to let anyone into the store for any reason. That rule is in place to protect not just the store, the merchandise and the guard but any customers involved as well. Price adjustments are never allowed due to the computerized system in place. The only thing that could have been done was to return the item and re-purchase it. These rules are in place to avoid shrinkage and/or to insure the item in fact was purchased at that store and not a discount store. Finally, if a person feels they are being followed around any store, the thing to do is stop and ask said security guard if there is a problem. Complaining about it after the fact does no one any good, nor does it allow the security guard the opportunity to explain their actions. Security guards do their job like anyone else, and sometimes following random people is part of their job. Being "....just a short person with a large bank account" doesn't make you immune to the temptations of theft and threatening not to come back to a store because one is embarrassed hurts no one but the former customer. No one cares about your bank account and mentioning it is in bad taste. If there is a problem, ask to speak to a manager, don't leave the store. Nothing can be done if dissatisfied customers don't let management know immediately. Finally. I am NOT a store employee, nor do I have any family that works at Dillards. I am a customer like any other and in fact I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I go to Dillard's weekly...between 1-3 times a week and I am very satisfied with everything connected to the store. To anyone reading this review. It is unsolicited and will in fact be placed in other places on the internet. Read all reviews with caution, consider the source and learn to recognize an immature, petty reviewer as opposed to one who through years of experience shopping knows enough of the workings of the store to explain the "slights" other reviewers have mentioned. Not accepting cash payments which seems pretty idiotic to me. If you guys are seriously worried about Covid being passed along on paper money I don't know maybe use gloves and then sanitize it with a UV light or something but you just not accept cash is ridiculous. We were shopping today and walked by the north face stuff. They had vests that you wear over your clothes so I tried one on at the rack. The woman at the cash register yelled at me that I needed to go to the fitting room. I looked at her and asked if I would need to go in if I was trying on a coat? She just looked at me and said that the fitting rooms were over there. I dropped the vest on the spot and walked away. I then go to the purses to look at the LV bags. Another ding dong working there asks if they can help me. I told her I was just looking. She proceeds to stand next to me and stare at me. I walked out of the store. Prob won't be back. read more

Linda who works at the dillards in coral ridge mall in Coralville iowa is dillards she works in the womans department she is very helpful finding items for me especially my favorite brand Eileen fisher I consider her my personal shopper she helps me accessorize my outfits I bring all of my items to her when I purchase something she is very honest and has alot of integrity my son has autism dillards is a refuge for my son he knows he is safe at dillards when the mall security chase him for no reason to the store then the mall security ask questions and dillards tells them there is no issue my son hasn't done anything wrong the mall just likes to pick on my son because they know they can they are on the radio as soon as we enter the mall my son is very intelligent they also hover when we eat by chick fila for no reason the security guards need to concentrate on the people whose pants fall down and no-one likes to look at someones underwear its in very bad taste they need a dress code at the mall and not act like handicapped people are not welcome at the mall we have been shopping at this dillards since it has opened we are regulars they know us by name thank goodness we can get away from the security guards at the mall to the peace and quiet at dillards absolute paradise read more

Security Guard offered no exception and no assistance when we approached the doors upon closing. We were shopping and tried on clothes the previous hour. A gift card had fallen out of a pocket. The security guard just locked the door in our face after we asked if we could go to the dressing room for it. The dressing room was just around the corner from that door. He could have left us outside and offered to bring us the card. read more

Friendliest, most helpful, and knowledgeable associates found in all departments, excluding a few retail associates in the men's department. My mother asked if she could do a price adjustment on a men's Nike shirt because she had bought it yesterday full price, and wanted to use the 30% of current deal. He showed no gratitude and never apologized, he just said in a stern and frustrated voice that he can't do price adjustments. And then I asked him why we couldn't use 30% off again to clarify. And he gave me a dirty look and proceeded to say "That's the same thing as a price adjustment!" and backed away from the register and seemed very angry and annoyed. I proceeded to say "I was just asking." The employees name is Adam. He was extremely rude and provided horrible customer service. read more

We took a world cruise, 112 days. Being casual Iowa country dwellers I needed a new wardrobe. My husband need an update also. I scoured Dillard's every few weeks. Found all I needed and more, mostly at discounts. I was as well dressed as the others on the extended cruise. Got addicted to the 50% off the lowest reduced price. Love the quality & choice. Get my best face cream there, full price. Now I am shopping with my granddaughter in the junior department. read more
