I suggest go to a dealer NEVER USE THIS AUCTION. I went to check the vehicles out and you can not drive them. Upon inspection the vehicle had no codes maybe because they cleared them prior to showing them. There was no info about it having any TRANSMISSION issues and due to this i sent close to 4500 on a LEMON! my mechanic once getting vehicle in the shop said they should have NEVER sold this vehicle or at least let the potential buyer know there may be A TRANSMISSION issue. side note I WILL SUGGEST NEVER USE THIS BUISNESS as they are VERY MISS LEADING AND SELL LEMONS!!! read more

Love this place the auctions are awesome and I actually save money with them love the staff they are amazing and so polite and helpful.

Purchased a mini fridge and didn't mind if it had dings etc. Didn't mind it wasn't even the mini fridge that was on the box however the coil in the freezer had a puncture so it would never work without freon. I guess may have damage means it doesn't work shame on me. Vehicle was misrepresented we purchased a vehicle with the intention at all the issue was was a steering Issue but the next the vehicle completely died and was terribly smoking. Mechanic stated that there was transmission issues and most likely engine failure . When I told the manager Santiago about the issue he said he would issue a refund, we got it all squared away and set up to have the vehicle towed back to their location, when the vehicle got there the manager stated it was returned messy and not in the condition we received it (that was not true the glove box was taken off when we got it) all we left in the car was mechanic tools (which we had planned to pick up the stuff when dropping off the title.) the manager then said he will not be giving a refund. And he stated that he drove the car around the block and it worked fine and that was a complete lie because the tow driver even stated he tried multiple times and couldn't get the vehicle started. So after being called a liar and inaccurate vehicle description we were told basically we were screwed. I told the manager I would be contacting a lawyer, after filing an official complaint with the better business bureau the manager called back stating he would do the refund. That is the only reason I gave 2 stars This place does misrepresentation, they charged $900 in fees, and they are LIARS. Do not get your vehicle here or any items. They a crooks!!!! Went on auction 6/18 Saturday Car for my daughter came in and then went right away offline... had to email and call several times to find out situation ... description said nothing I mean nothing about the vehicle being in bad shape at all pics were great, body 2014 Jeep Patriot.... yes there were other cars stating.... did not run, transmission issue, would not start, you could see that cars were in bad shape with pics provided but the Jeep was good to go... mind you I am in Gilbert and I did not get communication till Monday 6/20 .... Wednesday 6/22 got an email stating that they would accept my bid ..... and would be there to pick Friday .... they waved the storage fee because of the late communication and thought everything was great until I sat in the car on Friday 6/24 and in less than 5 minutes every light on the panel lit up the AC worked great and the car cut all power right up the way about a mile from Sierra Auction .... plus the left back wheel had a nail straight up that I was going to get patched and mind you the vehicle was E for empty ...... so I call AAA get a battery and we are good right? ..... no the AAA mechanic plugs in specs an might have an alternator issue and something definitely wrong with gas intake? Got the tire fixed , battery in full tank of gas ..... made it home luckily I mean LUCKILY Next morning take the car in for inspection and expected what to expect on this moving forward but: mechanic: asks me how did you get back 100 miles from Tucson to Gilbert? Me: .... w/ Gods help I guess mechanic: says did you know the engine was not mounted/bolted down and the engine mounts were both shot and cracked and you are very lucky to get home I don't know how you did it Me: uh what? .... exactly so all in all the vehicle to be by street safe $4K to $6K - and last but not least the transmission was full shot $7-8K so just out the door close to $14-15K in repair ..... in todays climate good luck finding a first time car for a teen ..... thought I was doing the right thing and what I was told is that I had a chance to view the vehicle before purchase? ..... oh really I would of needed a mechanic forensic specialists there to look over all that action and put on a ramp to view all the the beauties that were found with this vehicle I was also provided the website for VIN# check ..... which this vehicle had none because it was obviously from another country and the VIN#s sticker on inside of door with car spec was ripped out all I was told was Bid with Confidence and buyer beware but this was after the fact and don't worry about your life and and engine not being mounted .... I basically was sitting in a COFFIN not a vehicle before leaving Tucson I tried to have them take the vehicle back .... give me the price paid and you can keep all the taxes, new battery, full tank of gas, new tire ..... let me take the $2500 hit and lesson learned ..... but to find all the other issues and I mean issues it's a laundry list not to add our daughter is out $$$$$ and she's looking for payback and hates me and my wife So if Anthony B has anything to say to me on what you see is what you get ... I don't know what you tell my wife by selling me a death wagon to bury me in my daughter ...... very lucky I guesS Most important thing to SIERRA is this was for sure about $$$$$ and not life Thank you and have a great day ..... The last time I reviewed this operation in 2014 I gave them 1 star. Sierra Tucson had been under new management for the past year. It's a much better managed operation and I've been very happy with the staff and management of this enterprise since they bought out Leader Auction and installed a new management team, led by Mr. Cleveland. A five star production. Why only 3 stars? I'd bump my review to a fifth star, but their pricing matrix is off-the-charts expensive. Bid $3000 and you'll be facing charges up to almost $4000 before you're done. Taxes, Title Fee's, exorbitant Buyer's Premiums, etc... The post-bidding sticker shock is evident when you see people, after the auction is over, finding out what they have to pay. read more

Very disheartening the auto auction. It appeared that at least 1/3 of cars auctioned didn't "meet" the auction house's minimum bid. Not sure how this is better than just buying a used car from a retail lot which has a higher overhead to pay for I'm sure. Besides the retail car lots are a lot of the people bidding anyway that win because they have the cash on hand. Spirit told me that this arena has come to darkness, instead of the good they used to do a long time ago for many in need. I was RIDING THE BUS the other day and a young man with his family stated he tried to buy a vehicle that needed a new block and it still went for $900 winning bid, thus he's so disappointed he won't bid anymore. read more

I purchased an e350 van from Sierra Tucson and paid on 10/21/2022. today is 12/08/2022 and as of now I still don't have a title. Seven (7) weeks. Invoice 58470. I called last week and spoke to a woman that promised me that they are putting it in the mail the same day. Still haven't received it. I called yesterday 12/07/2022 and spoke to a woman in the Phoenix location. She said she will look into it and call me back in five to ten minutes. I waited and called back an hour later and she said they'll get back to me at the end of the day. I asked her to speak to the title department and she refused. I then asked for her supervisor. She transferred me and I left a message for him. He called me back and assured me he will send them an email to get back to me. Today....still nothing. I called Phoenix office several times and no one answers the phone. I called Tucson office same thing no one answers the phone. I need help! read more

I Bought a vehicle form here that was suppose to be running and driving fine. I went to pick up the vehicle and the trans was not working. I bought several vehicles from them before that were fine but not disclosing issues with the buyer before bidding is definietly not cool and unethical. I had a horrible experience with Sierra Auction. I bid on 2 black cars and when I went to pick them up one was charcoal grey and the other was navy blue. I did my bidding online through the PROXIBID the vehicles looked black from their pictures and the description stated BLACK. They didn't want to take responsibility for the poor description and blamed me for not bidding in person. The other excuse they gave me was " It's close to black", so I refused to take the vehicles and had to pay the $500.00 cash renege fee for something that was clearly there fault. They kept my cash didn't give me a receipt, so I'm sure the manager pocket my money and voided the transaction. SO BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS SHADY PLACE. They have a horrible reputation with customer service and they are a shady group. I hope my experience helps people stay away from this place read more

Never again. I bought a car from Sierra Auction Tucson that looked very nice online. There was no dash message lights on the photos so I thought this was a good deal. Until 9 miles down the road the car overheated and stalled. Towed it directly to an authorized dealer mechanic and they told me its a blown head gasket and possible worse internal engine damage. Result is a final $6k bill including the $2.1k auction price, lots of headache and over paying for the car. So not worth it. read more

I have bought from many auctions and this is the only Auction house I got completely scammed. They hang their hat on "buyer beware" "sold as is" "all sales are final" and make a ton of money selling fake watches and jewelry. The funny thing is, they say they have appraisers on site but when it came to the FOLEX / Rolexes they take in and sell, they turn to a blind eye knowing fully these watches look really good but are fake as hell. It would be nice if they had some integrity and called a fake a fake or just reject the items but money is the root to all evil and they are getting away with it by the boat loads. How long does it take to have their so called appraisers take a quick look to verify the fakes and kick them out or list them as fakes. My venture cost me over 10k loss on 3 folexes that they not only made their 20% commish plus the sellers fees. Against everything I stand for I had to send them back through and take my loss and they happily took them and ran them up someone else ass and they get paid again. What comes around goes around and I hope the Owners get theirs full force!! read more

Don't bring your car here for consignment, the auctioneer is really lazy and doesn't care about making money as much as going home early on Saturday. I tried to bid on a vehicle and after my bid was accepted for 1300 they went back and sold it to the last bidder for 1200. I would have paid much more than 1300 but they just sold it to someone else for much less because the auctioneer said it was a long day and he had too many cars to wait for bids. read more

We have purchased a Volvo, husbands company car; a Mercedes, my 2nd car; a Lexus, which we passed down to our college bound son, a Mazda3 which we just go last month, and a Mercedes Vintage Classic that my son in the Navy drove all the way across the country only days later. We have had no issues with our cars, and most were $1300. except our latest which we got for $3100. We love the value we get when we buy this way. BUT, today we decided to sell our (purchased brand new in 2003, Honda Civic, at the dealership) and when we put a reserve on it, the internet showed they sold it for $600., so we headed down there and they said to us, the internet said SOLD, but it actually was pulled or "passed" but yet online to the bidder there, it showed up as SOLD. We were freaked out, as they were holding our keys and the title, but we had documentation that it had a reserve of $2000. that was not met. We were relieved to know they did not sell it after all, and will maybe try first to sell it by owner. There is a fee to sell it for $125. too. Since we have put over $1500 in it this year alone, and it drives great plus a manual 5 speed, there was NO way we would be okay with their quick sell of $600. So, when you see "SOLD" to someone at the auction and you are online, it just meant it was way too low to meet the reserves. So, we suggest to go online and put in your highest bid there so you don't get shut out. Even if you would have bid higher, they won't know it or give you the chance to bid online. There is an advantage to being there and you MUST PREVIEW the cars on the Friday before hand and run the VIN numbers. Be smart. OH, and online there are 2 lanes. Not sure how they do that, because at the auction itself, there is only one auction going on... this still baffles me. Be smart, know if you buy a car they do charge a 12% fee on top of what the winning bid is, plus your cost of license and registration, plus insurance. They are as-is, and if you "re-nig" and change your mind, they can still charge you a huge fee of like $500. or a percentage of the bid. You must do your homework, but honestly, if ya do, it can be fun and worth your while. Our family is happy buying our cars this way. if i could leave a negative star rating I would, These guys dont even deserve the 1 star I gave them. I purchased through proxibid 1 of 2 identical vans going back to back, 1 had a check engine light that the auction disclosed and the other did not so I bought the one without it. When I picked up the vehicle it was missing very badly and HAD a check engine light due to multiple misfires I found out after the fact. When driving it away the left rear tire almost came off. I drive it 200 feet to investigate it was missing 2 lugs and remaining were loose. Limped it to a Oriellys down the street and made repairs in the parking lot in 112 degree heat. Once I thought i was ready to go I fouind out that the transmission would not come out of 1st gear. Then to compound this even further the radiator fan doesnt kick on so it began to overheat right away. Spoke with George the GM and he could care less said I should have come to preview day. If thats so then they shouldnt sell on Proxibid where people from out of state are buying. And light bulb George on preview day they dont let us drive the car around anyways where I still wouldnt know about the bad transmission. Some of the back office people are rude. Not set up for large crowds. No where to sit. Have bathrooms inside in plain sight but they make customers use porta potties outside. Post items online and in catalogs then pull at the last minute because they " want to spread them out of a few months" . Just pretty much an all around crappy run location . This place sucks. They have restrooms but do not let the customers use them, you are forced to use NASTY porta johns. The employees are rude and disrespectful to customers and the facilities aren't really set up to conduct professional auctions. There is no seating for the inside auctions.
