Going check it out now. Will be back with an update on what I thought about the food but so far service is very slow even on a slow day.

New and very clean snowball stand. The guy even wears gloves. I love a good snowball. A good snowball in my book is one with really soft ice so it's melts in your mouth. Hansen's snowballs were my favorite and now this stand is equally a favorite! I bought a pineapple and coconut cream mix, my husband had strawberry with condensed milk and they were delicious!

But I think they used real Thai iced tea leaves to make it cuz there were little flakes that none of the other flavors had. My bf got satsuma and passion fruit. That was so tropical and citrus-y yum. And then I tried his sister's strawberry shortcake which tasted like the strawberry shortcake ice cream - delicious. The watermelon flavor also tasted just like watermelon. I loved how all the flavors didn't taste artificial at all. There's a line but it went pretty fast. You can see a lot of the photos inside from the 1950s to now - felt very old school.

You can not go to New Orleans without trying Hansens at least once. If you are local, its a really nice place to visit the evening of a hot day. I have tried the root beer, chocolate, cream of coconut, strawberry and spearmint. All have been tasty. For about $8-10 you can get a snow ball with a pineapple and cherry. For about $12-13 you can get marshmallow on top and I highly recommend this for the experience. Its typically a longer line but its part of the experience. When you go inside, its like a blast from the past. You are gonna have syrup all over the souvenir cup and all. They have many choices to choose from.

Everybody always says Hansen's is the best, but I'm sorry... they just can't compete with Chance in Hell, no matter what anyone says. Handcrafted syrups, quality ingredients, and that ice... listen. If you're really from New Orleans, you KNOW the difference between a snoball and a snow cone. That ice is so fine, so soft, it literally melts in your mouth. You really be like, "What ICE?!" It's up there, for real. And the space? Baby... it's a whole experience. Perfectly curated to their brand. Very show-stopping, very show girl, all the drama in the best way. It's beautiful, it's fun, it's a vibe. It is more on the pricier side. With the quality of the Snoball. The difference is in the details. Honestly, they're one of the main reasons we surviving this heat. There really is a Chance in Hell lol.

I am used to snowballs being somewhat fine chunks of ice that have a ton of syrup glazed over it and maybe some bites have too much syrup or not enough syrup. And sometimes if I'm in the mood might have some marshmallows so this might give you an idea of where I'm from but the snowballs a chance in hell snowballs were on a whole different level. The ice is so fine the moment it touches your tongue it literally just melts. I opted for the Ube flavor in typically because of the syrup, I usually get more thirsty after I'm done eating snowballs, but with this one, it was so refreshing. I can only imagine the sensation if I were eating this on a hot summer day. They had some unique flavors and my husband my mother-in-law and I all got different flavors that we tried each other others and I can't say anything wrong about any of them. They were well balanced somehow the savory flavors worked as a dessert and I can't wait till the next time I can go back. Something I learned on this trip is that snowballs here are available from Mardi Gras until around Halloween so just something for you to note if you are traveling, but I was told that they do pop-ups here and there a little outside of the season. Their overall service was amazing. They are very friendly, very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. So if you're in the area, I highly recommend.

I stopped by pandora's snowballs on a saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Despite the long line, we actually were served pretty quickly. And our snowball was made pretty fast as well. The food was pretty good! It was very sugary, but that's kinda what you come for :) the ice was really good & the cream was also yummy. It was a nice balance. I also thought the flavors of ice were nice and potent. We got a stuffed snowball with vanilla cream & half mango + half strawberry cheesecake. We also got the sour spray on the mango half. I'd recommend getting some more toppings, it would definitely make it more delicious I was a little disappointed that there was no seating or tables to eat at. Had to eat and walk at the same time.. or if there were tables we couldn't find them. But overall a good experience

Stopped in for a snoball, as my regular snoball stop was closed for the day and lo and behold as I'm driving down the street, I SPIED, you know the game I SPY, well, I SPIED Downtown 504 Snoballs. I made a beeline and turned to partake of the syrupy goodness. Good thing I stopped as soon as I did, because shortly after arriving, they began their daily 'shut down' procedures. Anywho... So many flavor choices to choose from, what's a girl to do? So, I took my time, surveyed the selections and picked the most interesting combination... stuffed (with ice cream) STRAWBERRY + MANGO; two of my favessssssssss. The snoball was so juicy and tasty and thirst-quenching until, I had to savor the greatness before pulling off. I mean, scoop after scoop rendered a great juice & ice combination. I tried to stir to mix the ice cream and syrup, but the mouthwatering that was going on was too much to contain. So I began eating and slurping, don't judge me, and eating and slurping; until I looked up and nearly half of it was gone and I was still sitting in front the snoball stand. I plan to return to try the other snoball flavors and menu items. I like that the owner, employs school aged youth. This is a great way to teach them the value of entrepreneurships, supply and demand, the importance of customer service and help to bone up on their math skills. Yay, yay, yay!!!
