We came here last week for our date night. We were definitely hoping to try something new, and I'm not normally a slider person but I was proven wrong. I really liked everything I got and people were actually watching the Tigers game so the atmosphere was really fun. It's smaller of a place than I thought but it wasn't super packed. They have happy hour deals which are super solid. I would definitely come back here. read more

My dad used to take me to little hole in the wall restaurants, places you wouldn't notice if you didn't know they were there. They always had the best food and the best people. I'm a caterer who was waiting for an event to be over so I could go back and collect my equipment and my daughter suggested we have dinner here while we wait. It looks like a place my dad would've enjoyed, so we did. What a great decision that was. The service and the people were so nice and helpful. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The cheese curds are off the chart. Hands-down best I've ever had. Doesn't sound possible, right? They're just cheese curds. But nope. Seriously best I've ever had and the truffle fries w/aioli were so good. I had the Get him to the Greek slider and there was so much flavor. We also ordered a fish & chips slider (it was a special that day) and the portobello. Everything had amazing flavor. Do not pass this place up if you're out that way. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, so are the people and the food is unforgettable in the BEST way. read more

Talk about a diamond in the rough... Okay, so not that Farmington Hills doesn't have numerous potentials for great food hangouts, but when the hankering for a burger hits and you 'just happen to find this little place' and then it blows your freakin' MIND! - That my friend, is 'Sidecar Slider Bar'. Killer smiles on super friendly, fast staff and amazing food!! Who could ask for more? Their cheese curds are vastly understated cubes of delicious, savory, oh-so-lightly-fried-melty-goodness and their truffle fries were piping hot, packed with seasoning and served with a scrumptious aioli. (I'd have licked the cup, but I was sharing!) Between the table there were Portobello sliders, Fish Sliders, and a couple of Get Him to the Greek sliders. Not a single slider disappointed. The fish was cooked perfectly as was the burger and the fried goat cheese on the mushroom slider was chef's kiss. Don't wait. Go order them all! read more

Service was very good but food was average and very small in size (I didn't think it was a good value). We all got some variation of their sliders along with fries and sweet potato fries. The place was very loud we could hardly hear each other. read more

We were running some errands in the area and needed to grab dinner. The Sidecar said "now open," so I decided to stop. It's a smaller location that seems to have just opened, so I'm giving them a little latitude for a learning curve. It's a cool place inside, and Dave took great care of us at the bar, and he was covering hosting as well. But that didn't impact our experience, he was on top of everything. Food was great, we both got two sliders, and they were delicious. I appreciate the daily happy hour specials, even on the weekend - we got truffle fries and they were very generous. While I liked them, I'd stick with normal fries and try to get some of the garlic aioli. read more

Fun slider place. I usually tie it in with a visit to the farmers market in the summer. Look for fails slider of the day and special appetizers. Half off happy hour menu makes it easy to come back!!! We go to the Plymouth one more often but just cuz it's closer!!!! read more

Stopped in for a quick bite before a weeknight movie at The Penn. Shared happy hour drinks and cheese curds, then two sliders each. The cheese curds were next level - had previously only had fast food cheese curds. These were substantial cubes of melty cheese with only a thin batter coating. Truly a must try appetizer. Companion really liked the pulled pork and Mediterranean sliders. I stuck with the basic drive in one which was flavorful and just right for me; should have ordered two as I didn't like the mushroom and onion slider as much. read more

So I wanted to give a higher rating but I don't feel like I should. Prices here a pretty expensive for what it is, the food is good but it's really nothing special. The Brussels are delicious and the burgers are too but it's similar to pretty much any bar. They make great drinks and the staff is friendly. If I ever go back it will be with someone who suggests it not going on my own. read more

10/24/24 First time here and was very busy when we got here @6pm. And it calmed way way down just before 7pm. Like completely changed and became much much more bearable. Took them about an hour to bring us our food but I was part of a party of 7 and we arrived at definitely their busy time. And all of of my sliders were good. read more

I met up with a friend who recently moved out this way and he suggested Sidecar, as he'd never been before. I've been to quite a few locations on the Eastside. We both like Dirty Martinis, but were disappointed when they didn't have a top self selection of vodka and no blue cheese olives??!!! What is happening here? We opted for Gypsy Vodka the other choice was Absolute!!! lol Is it 1990? We were laughing about it! We did enjoy our sliders and poutine. I guess the message here is bring a flask! Haha read more

Food was great and quite reasonable. Their blue cheese bacon slider is to die for! My wife had the chicken taco and was great. Their seasoned fries were wonderful. read more

I was shocked by the price. We ordered just 2 chicken tenders with French fries, and the total came to over $50. That's simply too expensive for such a basic meal that we picked up. While the food was decent, there's no way it justified that price. Unless prices become more reasonable, I won't be returning. read more

Over recent months the business has reapportioned the waffle fries so now instead of a bowl of waffle fries you receive the smallest tray of waffle fries. There is a smaller option available as seen below. 5.99 for the small and 8.99 for the large. I ordered the large first and then told them to bring me the small because the large was so insulting and I had to see the joke that the small was. read more

Been to this place twice now and both times it was good. The first time we had the vegan sloppy Joe's and they were very good. We also had the fried pickles and french fries which were also very good. Our next visit we had the vegan sliders and they were good too. They also have a couple of other vegan options which we have not tried yet and we spoke with the owner and he said that they are considering expanding their menu to accommodate more vegan options which would be very nice. So, if you're looking for a place to eat and you are vegan you can certainly find something here. Our service the first time was amazing! Our server was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The second time though it was not great but also not horrible our server seemed to be spending more time talking at the bar rather than following up with us on things like water, food, and getting the bill (that's how it goes sometimes with restaurants). The vibe was good you can see that they are excepting of everyone and the place was clean. If you want there is an option to sit outside and enjoy the sun if you're not feeling like being indoors or in a crowded restaurant. Overall my true rating is a 4.5 due to the service our second time around. read more

A real find! I came here for the first time and immediately realized that I had come to the right place. The atmosphere has its own rhythm: at the start, everything was buzzing, but over time it became calmer, and this allowed me to really relax. The food left a very pleasant impression - every dish was made with the soul. No compromises on taste, everything in its place. You can see that the kitchen is working well, despite the influx of guests. Yes, we had to wait a bit for our order, but it wasn't critical, especially considering the number of people. In addition, when you spend time in good company, the hours pass unnoticed. It's also very nice to see how everything is arranged here - it's a small but well thought out place. And even small details create a mood. Definitely worth coming back again! read more

This was our first time here and I was so impressed! I saw Sidecar Slider Bar on a top burger list and decided that we must try them out - and was thrilled to find out that there was one less than 10 minutes from our house. After a lot of debate, my hubby got a Smokehouse slider and whatever the slide of the day was (it had bacon, that is all I recall). I had to try the ahi tuna slider and mushroom swiss slider. I love ahi and this was expertly cooked - a good sear and bright red in middle. The mushroom swiss slider had zip sauce on it and that kept the patty moist. There are so many great sliders on the menu but I feel like I'm always going to get the ahi slider and the mushroom swiss one will be on heavy rotation. The waffle fries were what I expected - nothing exceptional, nothing bad...just a decent waffle fry. read more

Food 10/10 listen here I have found the cheat code! Don't order them or DoorDash. Go right in before Happy Hour. This is the best meal I have had from them! First, I eat here somewhat regularly and have always had good food, even if a little pricey. This time I decided to try the pulled pork nacho's. The pulled pork was the worst I've ever had, zero flavor. I tried and tried but eventually ate everything and left the pork. I sat at the bar, bar tender was on her phone about 75% of the time I was there...fine by me, but she could have waited until after taking my order. I've never left a review anywhere before, but the pulled pork was that bad. read more

I've had Sidecar before but not from this location - I've done takeout from the (now-defunct) Commerce location before and I've also physically been to the Bham one. We ordered Doordash from here tonight because we wanted cheese curds. I ordered the 2am slider, no ketchup, and the mushroom Swiss one, since I haven't tried that one yet. The 2am one was my favorite but both were good. My boyfriend ordered the 911 slider and another spicy one and also liked both. Sidecar lets you sub pretzel buns for no charge, which is awesome, and they were super tasty. The cheese curds were delicious and a HUGE serving for about $9. My only complaint is that they were a bit greasy. Culver's is still my fave for cheese curds but I don't think they deliver. Overall about 4 sliders and the large cheese curds cost us $32 before tip, which wasn't bad, and I'm sure it would be a little cheaper at the actual restaurant, too. I would order from them again, as well. read more

The food is extremely overpriced for what you get. We payed $12 for an appetizer of truffle fries and there were enough for about one person's side. On top of that, no included sides. The sliders are okay but nothing special. read more

I love the fried perch sandwich. The sauce is spicy and very good. My wife likes the Salmon Sandwich. Service is very friendly.

Everything was so good! My mom and I split the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls to start. These were crispy, hot and so flavorful. I chose the hotdog with the pulled pork and the fried chicken slider. The chicken slider was good. I did end up having to eat that leftover because everything else was so filling I ran out of room. I'm sure it would have been better if it were fresh. I was absolutely blown away by the hotdog. It was a really good size and you could taste the quality of the meat. The toppings were fantastic as well. I also tried some of my mom's cheese curds. Those were a little bit greasy. I cannot wait to come back here and try some more menu items because I had a really hard time deciding. read more

Second time here and last night was disaster. We walked in at 5:00 pm. Sat at bar server gave us menus and left. She went to talk to friends/customers sitting at table and did not come back for 15 minutes to take drink order. We placed drink order and food order got drinks then the app. We ordered and again it went downhill as they brought app. Then brought my wife's dinner order said mine would be right out. After asking twice and them saying servers couldn't find mine. By that time my wife was done with her meal. Finally asked again and after another 5 minutes received my order. This is not service. We have been here 3 times and once to the one in Plymouth twice can't see on to go back to Farmington location even though the food was good. Sorry but this was bad on their part read more

I'm glad I gave them a try today - delicious, fresh food on a nice big patio in downtown Farmington with lots of parking. I arrived right as they opened on a Saturday at noon, and they were ready to go. The patio quickly filled up behind me, and I'm glad to see they're busy. Very affordable, and probably a great place for kids because they can choose a slider or two and fries and such. I actually had their veggie pita and Brussels sprouts appetizer. Yum! The pita bread was fresh, warm and soft, and the goat cheese gave just enough creamy tang to the roasted veggies and greens. Nice greens, by the way, not basic lettuce. My favorite thing was actually the Brussels sprouts. You see them on menus everywhere, but these were really good. They're fried and actually full of crispy bits, with bacon and blue cheese. These are some of the best I've had because of the crispness. I'm always looking for that when I order Brussels and these definitely delivered. Service was excellent. I'm sure to return! read more

I wanted to try this after a friend recommended it to me. The menu is very interesting. So many options. I didn't realize how small they are. They did say sliders which is to assume smaller size burgers. . I had the pulled pork slider and the tator tots. They were delicious. The chicken strips that my daughter got were pretty good as well. Based on the day of the week and time, there was a decent crowd with two wait staff. They handled the crowd pretty well. We enjoyed the place. It was relaxing and got chill vibes. Will definitely return. read more

I came here with a couple of friends for a late evening dinner, right before things started shutting down due to COVID-19. We had great service and food. For appetizers, we shared Brussels sprouts. They had a good balsamic flavor and generous amount of fresh bacon (not dried bacon bits). It was a bit heavy on the bleu cheese, which I picked out. For my meal, I ordered the fish & chips slider and the Nosferatu hot dog with a small side of tots. The fish & chips slider was described on the menu as including battered cod, cole slaw and waffle fry - mine didn't have the fry in it, but the sandwich had good flavor. I didn't really mention the missing dry due to the ample tater tots I had on the side (more on that later). I ended up throwing out the top bun on the slider because it was thick and I didn't need the extra carbs. The bread didn't seem special; it was just a standard mini hamburger bun, not toasted. The Nosferatu hotdog was delicious. It was an all-beef juicy hotdog with fried pickles, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli. Everything came together nicely and I'd definitely order it again. As for the tater tots, they provided a generous amount for it being a small order. I shared with my friends and still could barely finish (due to the amount of food, not because they weren't good). They were hot and crunchy. I'm really glad I chose tots instead of fries. Hopefully this restaurant is doing okay in spite of the pandemic, because I'd like to come back in the future to try more menu items. read more

Usually the service and food are good, we go once or twice a week. We received a gift card with $100 on it as a birthday gift 5 days ago, and when we tried to pay our bill with it, the wait staff said their system wouldn't take it. We needed to use another form of payment. No manager came to talk to us, nothing was offered for our inconvenience. Poorly handled. Do better. read more

Sliders are tasty and good value ($4-5 for pretty substantial slider), but nothing too special. Going in we were all trying to decide how many to get and 2 was the perfect amount - they are bigger than they look! I really enjoyed the Drive Thru Slider; It sounds average, but honestly was the best one I tried. The Mac Slider was nothing special in my eyes. The Pulled Pork ones came with a ton of pork (way more than expected and enough to bring home extra). The Loaded Tots were a great side. The tots were crispy, but got a little mushy (expectedly) from the chili. I also really enjoyed the outdoor seating option at this location! Very spacious. read more
