    Cobb salad

Ordered carry out recently and I still am in love with this place. The French onion soup ($12) was expensive but made with love. Delicious. Also had the Cobb salad which was enough for two. Fresh and crispy ingredients and wonderful flavor. Try their fish and chips and deep fried mushrooms too! Pretty much everything on their simple menu is a good choice. Burgers also rule here... Professional service and low key ambiance enhance the food. Also try their Royal Oak location.

If you're looking for an amazing burger I highly recommend Red Coat Tavern. I've never tried any other entrees because I can't pass up a burger here. Onion rings are also very good with zip sauce and the thin fries with ranch! Cozy and comfortable ambiance.

I've eaten here before but it's been awhile. I truly believe their goal is to put you in a food coma with the giant portions! It's excellent. I had their specialty burger which is huge. I got some truffle fries on the side and couldn't finish them although they are delicious. Full bar and nice atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly. One of my favorite places in the Detroit area.

Hands down the best burgers in the city! Located on Orchard Lake in West Bloomfield with plenty of parking in an adjacent parking lot. Love that the seating options include table, patio or bar seating. And Ryan is our favorite bartender of all time. We don't eat here unless we know he's working. His sense of sarcastic humor always makes our night. The bar banter and big screen TVs make for a great atmosphere. The food is awesome. Burgers are always top tier and the seafood chowder with a hint of curry spice is to die for. I do also tried the fish and chips, the grilled fish sandwich and the chicken pot pie which were all winners. The next time you're craving a good burger, you should go here.

first time here - believe it or not! but i have been told numerous times of how amazing the burgers are - and they did not disappoint! side of onion rings is a must! so good. we ended our savory meal with the sweet gooey bread pudding. atmosphere is quaint and simple. a metro detroit stapled favorite for a reason!! our server seemed a bit preoccupied but helpful regardless

This location, eek - needs exterior improvements, no signage and potholes in the parking lot and the inside needs some updates (specifically the restrooms). However the food was good so I would say if you are in the area already and are looking for a good burger/food, this place would be okay. We got burgers, (I really like that they have a lower fat option with the Piedmontese beef), fries, Mahi-mahi sandwich, mussels and a salad (get dressing on the side). Everyone seemed pleased with their meals and a burger can definitely be 2 meals (at least for us). The burgers all come with lettuce, tomato & mayo and there are a whole slew of toppings (at an extra cost) that you can add such as an egg, truffle mayo, grilled onions etc. The service was good. I really want to love this location and we have gone several times (many years ago) to the original Woodward street location and enjoyed many meals there but, sorry, don't go out of your way to this W. Bloomfield one but at least if you do, you will know what to expect. Hopefully some updates can be done to help improve this restaurant!

I ordered a western burger with large fry, but removed the corned beef. The burger itself was delicious, the patties were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. They were quite juicy and melted in the mouth. The brioche bun was as expected, although it did get a little bit, soggy due to the generous amounts of sweet/sugary Kansas City style barbecue sauce, which was also delicious. The onion ring that was part of the burger was crispy on the outside and not too mushy on the inside just how it should be. Next time I'll add bacon and some jalapeños to the burger to balance the sweet barbecue sauce. The french fries were delicious, crispy exterior with soft, fluffy interior and just the right amount of salt. Although I did not order seasoned fries, I was very happy with the regular unseasoned one. I can imagine that the seasoned fries would be even better. Overall a great burger and excellent fries, I would recommend this to others.

Aside from the main entree's they also offer a selection of Tapas and salad selections For my first meal here I got their custom blend cheese burger that had caramelized onions, house made pickles, lettuce, tomato and a house sauce with fries. The burger was very tasty cooked to perfection with a medium doneness (no over cooking here unless you ask for it) where the sauce and pickles gave it a unique flavor profile that I liked. Fries were crunchy and nicely done as well. For my drink I ordered a house Margarita from their tequila inspired craft cocktail menu. The Margarita was very smooth and quite tasty and very reasonably priced at $10. MY only gripe with the drink is it was made with Reposadao tequila where my personal tastes trend towards a brighter Margarita and Blanco tequila. Having said that I could drink this Margarita all day long! Relative to staff and facility, the restaurant is definately on the rustic side where it could probably use an update on the ceramic floors and tables/chairs. It's not bad but it would add greater appeal if they invested a little more money on the interior in my opinion. Staff was super friendly and I enjoyed my conversation with my waitress who also served as the bartender. Overall the uniqueness of this menu and how good the taco menu looked will definately bring me back in the near future as I need to give those guys a try as well. Aside from the special I also ordered a side of fries to complement the burgers. The sliders themselves were well cooked where I added cheese at extra cost of $.75 a slider which I thought we a tad pricey in my opinion considering the amount of cheese that was on the slider. The taste was OK but did not rise to the better sliders I have had in this area. Relative to the fries, which I was not enamored with, they were too greasy and a bit on the soggy side versus the crunchy fries that I am more in tune with. Relative to the facility and staff, The restaurant/bar itself has a rustic sports bar vibe to it with TV's strategically placed around the bar playing the games on at the time and the various cable sports shows. The Staff was quite friendly with prompt service and good followup throughout the meal which was a big positive. Relative to the menu, it is a tad limited where the focus is in line with typical bar food which includes sliders, fries, onion rings, chili fries, hot dogs, chicken tenders .... etc. Overall I would liken this business as a sports bar that also sells limited food options at a very reasonable/value price. If you are not looking to drop a load a cash and want to watch the game where great food is not the priority than this place will definately fit your bill. If good food with an expanded menu is the priority that you should probably look elsewhere.

He also never greeted us and we had to find a menu on our phones, only after we were ordering did he look up and offer us a menu. When looking at the grill behind him, it was coated in tin foil, which looks nasty. If you don't want to clean the grill, then don't be open. We ordered and went to look for a table, and with no one in there, you would think it would be easy to find something, but no, there was dirty trays with half-eaten food on several tables. When we did find a table, it was sticky and I had to wipe it down just to sit there. Once we were sat, we looked at the silverware, and it was all dirty looking and unwrapped in a wooden-looking tray on the table. Also nasty. Our food came out, and it was underwhelming. My breast and wing were the size of my palm but the leg and thigh my wife got was very good looking. The yuca fries were the best thing we got, they were crispy and well cooked. Once we finished out meal, we each went to the restroom and those were NASTY! Water everywhere, the door handles were dirty and sticky, and I didn't want to touch anything in there. We will not be back and have told many of our friends to avoid this place, and I hope this review gets to people so they can avoid it as well.
