We have a 1985 Coleman pop-up camper with canvas sides, a portion of the canvas needed patching and stitching reinforcement so in 2020 we brought in the materials (damaged canvas, replacement canvas, and special thread). SIDCO was a pleasure to deal with and they did an outstanding job in a minimal amount of time. We are now recommending them to a family member with yet another a unique need!

I attended an event here as part of the Alfa club. Alex was kind enough to open his shop, had his staff and family there to welcome us with food and drink, and gave us a multi-hour tour of his facility and the amazing work they do (photos coming soon). I will caution you that this is probably not the place to bring your older, "normal" car, for upholstery work. It's right there in the name - custom. That means they don't install skins, they rip apart your old seats, and fabricate a high quality replica with the materials you choose (or they recommend). This does not come cheap, so if you're looking to redo the seats on your $4000 car, it could very well cost you more than the car. If your car is worth $40,000 or $400,000, now it makes a lot more sense. With that said, I drove my 1985 BMW to the event (the damn Alfa was leaking fuel!) and Alex was kind enough to do an on-the-spot repair of my seatback panel when I asked for advice on how to fix it. For free. Other reviews indicate they do some work on "normal" cars sometimes, so its worth asking. What I will caution is don't show up with your cheap aftermarket covers and expect them to install them. Some places will, but they won't. Nice guy, high quality work, expect to pay accordingly.

I called these guys looking for help with a vintage 1960's Overman recliner and ottoman. Every furniture upholstery shop around me either turned me down or wouldn't give me an estimate without disassembly, and no guarantee they could actually do the job. I made an appointment to check out the shop and show the chair to Alex and German. They looked it over, were confident that they could do the job and gave me an estimate. I agreed and we set a date to start the project. I dropped off the chair and ottoman, gave a small deposit to cover the material, and a few weeks later they called to say that the job was done and ready to pick up. Automotive shop or not, they knocked this thing out of the park! Really a top-notch job on a difficult vintage piece. Not sure if they want to continue doing odd furniture restoration jobs, but they definitely know their craft and I couldn't be happier!

This review is long overdue. Best price quotes you'll get around the area. I came here because my front passenger seat threading came out. They got this fixed within hours of me bringing in my car. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

We had an Alfa Romeo club meet there and we had a good time. Alex the owner went out of his way to give us a good how to seminar. He brought his vendors in to meet and show us many of the technics he uses to make a show winning interior. Lunch was provided and it was very good. Alex is quite the professional and his shop is net and clean.

Went above and beyond expectations. The owner was very accommodating , he was easy to talk to and very keen with work, takes time to really know exactly what you want for your project. Brought in my BMW C400x for a seat modification. He meticulously measured me on the bike to be able to do his work precisely. With him being a bike enthusiast himself, he knows how to balance comfort and safety. Happy and satisfied customer, highly recommended.

New headliner, driver's side. Lumps and bumps right in front of your face.

These folks gave the highest estimate of three I'd gotten, they had good ratings and fancy cars in the shop, so I assumed they would do a great job. The agreement was that they would replace the headliner and check for leaks, and they actually went above and beyond to put some urethane on the front window to fix the leak they found. Two stars only because of the quality of work on the headliner. There are lumps right in front of the driver and passenger's face (see photos). I made a complaint on the day, and Alex said it was because the substrate wasn't flat (seems flat if you run your finger along it), and I was noticing this defect "because I just paid for it". He said I should drive the car for a few days and see if it still bothers me. I returned a week later, and Alex immediately offered to take the car back. It was a strange conversation, and it was unclear to me what he was actually going to do to fix the issue. He said "trust us, we're professionals", so I left it with them. When I picked the car up that evening, I asked what they had done for the front of the headliner. He said "we steamed it". It looked the same as before, and I left disappointed.

Needed a mount built for new style bucket seats I ordered for my boat that would be sturdy enough for my bass boat and found these guys close to where I live. Talked to Alex, setup a time to drop off my boat and in less than a week they had the new bucket seats installed and I'd have to say were build into the boat better than factory as they were very well supported by the newly built frame. Couldn't be more happy with everything including the price which I was nervous about. I will absolutely be going back for all future mods to my boat and won't hesitate to bring in my truck also. Top notch work!

    Beautifully reupholstered leather seats.

When looking for quality auto upholstery chose SIDCO! This shoppe offers terrific quality, attention to detail and committed to getting it right. We had been shopping around for more than a year. We recently chose SIDCO to re-upholster our seats and can only recommend their work - terrific work and cannot be happier. The fit and stitching are wonderful. Check out the snapshot.

On the blue section, and there was some over-spray and it has a yellowish green tint. It took him a few quick minutes to mix some dye and he didn't really spot check for match. I asked if he could match it better but he said it could make it worse. There was also over-spray. Frankie just blocks off the untouched spot by holding a piece of cardboard. It wasn't precision and care. Also, deep scratches could be sanded, smoothed and polished to match, but he doesn't go to this level of service. He just applies putty over it and lets you know it will leave a lump. However, the match on black was very good, almost perfect. But it felt rough due to the over-spray. Overall, I had expected a more precise hand polishing process and care for matching, but it was just quick spray paint. Deep scratches really didn't get resolved. The car is now a collectors item. I was hoping for a level of quality that matches the prestige. EDIT In response to the owner; I do not use Yelp much and do not write many reviews. But they are bad experiences that are memorable enough to share and I provided evidence (invoices and pictures) to support it. The owner's lack of accountability in his response should be a concern. I've had someone asking about his work the past few weeks (2025: 9 years later) and it prompted me to help this person and update the review and even tone it down a tad for the owner's benefit. 1 and 2. The pictures uploaded appear the same quality as the original but resized. Don't believe otherwise as the owner leads you to believe. Many of you have uploaded pictures and know this is is a lie. I believe Yelp will also dispute the owner on the quality of their site. 3. As for repairing scratches, I had no issues and mearly shared the level of service ($350 - in 2016 dollars) for the community, but the owner has a problem with me sharing it. 4. The car was just as pristine in 2016 as today 2025, 1,500 miles later. I have the invoices on the work, dated before Frankie's job. In fact, I should probably write a review on it since the owner seems to have a problem with me not writing good reviews, especially if it is redundant to many other good reviews. 5. The owner is lying about the date of the job and timing of my review. The job was done on 2/6/2016. My review was dated 5/7/2016. I moved away from the area June 2016 and was very busy with preparing for the move and finishing up my life there. 6. The owner claimed he could make it right, but as he mentioned during the job, he did not want to fix the mismatch. I had no reason to contact him further. I moved to a different area a few months later and had more important concerns than the owner's job and was fine with just writing a review. The owner needs to own it.
