Took my GMC Yukon in To troubleshoot the electronic controls on the passenger seat Luis quickly, diagnose the issue and had it fixed within a few days. I am extremely happy with his service and shop. They charged me a fair price for their services.

I did not have a before picture. But this is an after picture and it looks great..

Louis at Vargas upholstery did a excellent job on my Ford Escape driver seat. The job was done professionally in a very timely manner.

For a while, I had a tear in the leather of my car's driver seat. I looked into sewing it, but that turned out not to be an ideal solution. After looking on Yelp, I found these guys and paid them a visit. To begin with, parking is a bit of a nightmare here. They're juxtaposed amongst a number of auto repair / auto body shops with cars parked left and right. I spoke with Luis and he told me that my best option was to replace the portion of the leather where the tear was centered. His estimate wasn't cheap -- $450. I said no to doing the repair for the time being due to the price. Luis was nice and not pushy at all and refused to accept my money for providing me with his estimate. Later on, after thinking about it and doing some research, I went ahead and OK'd the repair. He asked that I give a $50 deposit in advance and in cash. Not a huge deal, but I would think that with that amount of money, paying by credit card would've been no big deal. I brought my car in today for the repair. At first, he wasn't sure if he could do it because the recliner on the driver's seat was broken and he needed to remove the seat in order to complete the repair. Luckily, he was able to remove the seat successfully and got the job done. Not only that, but he even did his best to fix the recliner but was unable to do so. No worries there. Furthermore, with the seat removed, I was able to find a penny that must've rolled under the seat a long time ago. At the end, I paid the remainder of the bill in cash. Kind of a nuisance, but I won't lose sleep over it. He knocked $20 off the bill as well. When I was first given the estimate, I was apprehensive. But BMW is a luxury car brand and parts are never cheap. Plus, with having to spend time to remove the seat and put it back, as well as the costs in general of running a small business in the Bay Area, $450 was a reasonable price in the end. Most importantly for me, my seat now looks AMAZING. Take a look at the before and after photos I posted. Overall, I give Vargas four stars. I strongly suggest you give them a shot for any upholstery needs you might have. If I have future issues myself, I know where to go. Thanks, Luis, for your awesome work on my car. I meant to post this sooner but I'm pretty happy with the work Vargas auto upholstery did to my 89 Lincoln. The old cloth top was ugly and faded and probably the original one. Reasonable price , after installing new top vehicle looks a lot better and I have had people asked where I got it done or what I have done to keep it looking great! Vargas was on point with the estimate and estimate time. This is definitely the go to place for me if I need anything else done! Go get a quote really nice people

Luis took on a really big job, and the results are fabulous. After interviewing many providers, I chose Luis to do the complete interior and convertible top for my 1954 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible. I spent 7 years restoring this car, so the quality of Luis' work was extremely important. He really delivered! The car is spectacular and gets compliments everywhere it goes. Thanks Luis!

this was originally beige/ tan cloth seats in our Hyundai Elantra. much better in black leather

Stumbled upon them here on Yelp and called them first (and only call) as they were fairly close on El Camino in Sunnyvale (we are in Cupertino). The quoted price was in my budget so had them replace the fabric seats in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with leather. They were very nice and did the work fast too - dropped the car off on a Monday and picked it up the following afternoon. Plan on bringing my Hummer in for the same treatment in the near future. Would highly recommend for your auto upholstery needs.

I had a new carpet and headliner installed. Turn around was in a week and it was a fair price. Interior looks a lot better now, solid work.

On the blue section, and there was some over-spray and it has a yellowish green tint. It took him a few quick minutes to mix some dye and he didn't really spot check for match. I asked if he could match it better but he said it could make it worse. There was also over-spray. Frankie just blocks off the untouched spot by holding a piece of cardboard. It wasn't precision and care. Also, deep scratches could be sanded, smoothed and polished to match, but he doesn't go to this level of service. He just applies putty over it and lets you know it will leave a lump. However, the match on black was very good, almost perfect. But it felt rough due to the over-spray. Overall, I had expected a more precise hand polishing process and care for matching, but it was just quick spray paint. Deep scratches really didn't get resolved. The car is now a collectors item. I was hoping for a level of quality that matches the prestige. EDIT In response to the owner; I do not use Yelp much and do not write many reviews. But they are bad experiences that are memorable enough to share and I provided evidence (invoices and pictures) to support it. The owner's lack of accountability in his response should be a concern. I've had someone asking about his work the past few weeks (2025: 9 years later) and it prompted me to help this person and update the review and even tone it down a tad for the owner's benefit. 1 and 2. The pictures uploaded appear the same quality as the original but resized. Don't believe otherwise as the owner leads you to believe. Many of you have uploaded pictures and know this is is a lie. I believe Yelp will also dispute the owner on the quality of their site. 3. As for repairing scratches, I had no issues and mearly shared the level of service ($350 - in 2016 dollars) for the community, but the owner has a problem with me sharing it. 4. The car was just as pristine in 2016 as today 2025, 1,500 miles later. I have the invoices on the work, dated before Frankie's job. In fact, I should probably write a review on it since the owner seems to have a problem with me not writing good reviews, especially if it is redundant to many other good reviews. 5. The owner is lying about the date of the job and timing of my review. The job was done on 2/6/2016. My review was dated 5/7/2016. I moved away from the area June 2016 and was very busy with preparing for the move and finishing up my life there. 6. The owner claimed he could make it right, but as he mentioned during the job, he did not want to fix the mismatch. I had no reason to contact him further. I moved to a different area a few months later and had more important concerns than the owner's job and was fine with just writing a review. The owner needs to own it.
