Unless you snag a booth (and there are only a few), the tables in the dining room aren't that cozy. Also the bar area seating is odd, with high tops at the bar. I kind of lost my way so I called Mr. Johnson or someone from the company and he gave me directions. I beat him to his establishment Because he was still out on the water. This is probably my favorite Chinese take out place. I have been to many in multiple cities but…read morethis one is where I've had more good experiences than bad. The menu is like any other Chinese place in the area, very Americanized. The General's chicken is absolutely delicious. It is crispy even with the sauce. The sauce has heat, sweet, and tang while the chicken is white meat. They have a 'pick 4 for 25' deal, which is what I got. It came with two pints of steamed rice and 4 entrees of my choosing.. which was chicken lo mein, generals chicken, 5 egg rolls and pork w/Chinese vegetables. I do wish they offered vegetable lo mein on that menu but chicken was alright. Everything was made fresh and tasted very good, my 3 year old loves their egg rolls and lo mein. Good deal seeing how each entrée is around 7 bucks alone and the egg rolls are over a buck a piece. The service is average. They aren't the most personable people but they also are not outright rude. I am going to miss coming here when I move to Norfolk.

Otherwise, we regularly end up sitting with appetizer plates, dinner plates, and other dishes stacked on the table throughout the meal. It's gotten to the point where we joke about it among ourselves because it happens so consistently. For the price of dining here, the service should include something as basic as clearing finished plates. I've honestly never experienced another restaurant where this was such a consistent issue. We enjoy coming here and will likely continue because we live nearby, but please, please train the serving staff to clear dirty dishes throughout the meal. It would make such a difference in the overall dining experience.
