So on a recent evening, we stopped in for what we thought was going to be dinner; Boy were we wrong. Before I bring you along on our journey to what was arguably the most profound bastardization of Mexican cuisine I've ever encountered, I'd like to note the staff was very pleasant and we had no issues with service. Now the "food"....where do I begin? I ordered a burrito which comes standard with what seemed to be a half gallon of melted cheese they call queso (queso simply means cheese in Spanish btw, and this melted amalgamation of horror would never be found in any real Mexican kitchen). Inside was a heaping pile of nothingness, meaning I it was filled wIth every cheap condiment(rice, beans, more rice, some more beans) and literally no steak, a truly remarkable bargain for $11.95. My wife ordered a burrito bowl, which needless to say was equally awful. The lettuce was old, the beans appeared to be mixed with super glue at a 50/50 ratio and beared no semblance to what refried beans are supposed to look or taste like, and the pork was surprisingly edible, but again severely lacking in quantity. The final and most egregious violation of hundreds of years of Mexican culture came in the form of my son's quesadilla. This was no ordinary quesadilla folks; this was something I barley have the ability to describe, but perhaps is best described by averring the same genius that wrote the original Exorcist movie would have been terrified of the thought of consuming this treacherous excuse for edible food (see picture). A floppy, greasy, and discolored tortilla enrobed a hot pile of what looked like roadkill was spackled with and overdose of the afore mentioned "queso" to form what quite possibly was the most off-putting thing I've ever laid eyes on. Again, staff was nice;no issues there. The food is GOD AWFUL and I will NEVER EVER go back.

The order arrived hot and well intact. The Carnitas had a great flavor. He ate them before I could take a picture. The flautas , I had the beef, cooked perfectly. It came with sour cream, lettuce,Guac and tomato. The meat is shredded, not ground. My dinner also came with beans and rice. We will definitely order from here again.

I noted all the content of the BC that was listed on the menu and it contained items that I liked. When my food was served it looked delicious and when I took my first cut of the burrito and tasted it, it was delicious. I kept going for a few more bites, and I noted that all the content of the burrito was not there. When I saw the server I let him know that some of the content was missing. The server stated that all the content was inside and he stood there for a few seconds looking at me and I was looking at him and I said OK and I took a couple more bites and there were still missing content, so I cut the "Burrito California in half open it up and call him back to the table and showed him that all the contents were not there: the chorizo sausage and pico de gallo were missing. There was no offer to make a correction, the server just took the plate and left. Came back with a ticket of 3.50 for my drink. The ambience is very fitting for a Mexican restaurant. This was not my first visit matter fact it was one of my favorite places to go when I had a taste for Mexican food and we've had a birthday dinner there for my son-in-law before and we enjoyed our meal and the service at that time.

First the location: it's in a strip mall, which it shares with Kroger, a thrift store, and one of the last Roses stores around. The inside was very nice and had a real country atmosphere. Everything appeared well-kept and clean. As we entered we were quickly greeted and taken to our table. Within a few moments, we had our two sweet teas, and our order was taken. Let's say wow - our order was delivered to our table in maybe 7-8 minutes. I was in total shock. The meals. The wifey has the Monte Cristo French Toast meal. I could tell she liked it a lot. As I look at her taking her first full bite and her eyes are blasting open. She said it was absolutely outstanding. As for me, I had Biscuits & Gravy with potatoes and bacon. I will also tell you I was very happy with the taste and the portion. As for service: We had a young lady named Stephanie. I bet she checked on us 6-7 times during our stay and we were not her only table. She was just that attentive. Total for two of us - $33 which include includes a hefty state and local tax. 12.25% - Virginia and localities have gotten out of control.
