Ravi brings a warm, positive energy to gatherings and is thoughtful in his approach--open to feedback and clear about what works best for an event. The food itself is full of authentic flavors that really transport you to India. When our cousins from Bombay (serious chaat lovers!) were visiting, they enjoyed the chaat and golgappa so much that they requested it again during their stay. Some of our favorites have been the rose kulfi faluda, live chole bhature, makki roti with saag, and aloo tikki. What stands out most, though, is the feeling of the service--it feels personal and unpretentious, almost like having someone from the family cooking for you. Would definitely recommend Rasa Sweets for small gatherings and special occasions.

We recently had Delhicacies prepare and deliver food for a small gathering at our place, and they…read moreexceeded our expectations in every way possible. First off, the delivery was a smooth process, dot on time and packaged with such precision. Ankush, who runs the show at Delhicacies came to do the honors and as well left detailed instruction on how to go about preparing one of the starter dishes that we had ordered (Bhalle Papdi chaat that is). The menu we chose included Bhalle Paapdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta, accompanied by Roomali Roti and Lacchay Pyaaz as a side salad. The Bhalle Paapdi Chaat was an instant crowd-pleaser, with the perfect balance of crispy papdi, fresh bhalle, cool sweet yogurt, tangy tamarind along with green sauces, a secret masala powder and a garnish of beetroot , pomegranate and cilantro. All of these were packed separately and instructions were provided (step by step) to prepare the end result which tasted out of the world good. It was refreshing yet packed with flavors that kept everyone asking for seconds. The Cocktail Samosas were golden, crisp, and filled with a spiced potato mixture that made them an ideal finger food--perfectly bite-sized and not greasy at all. For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala (PTM) stole the show with its rich, velvety sauce that coated the tender paneer in just the right amount of spice. The flavors were balanced yet bold, making it a standout dish. The earthy flavor in the paneer made it finger licking good and definitely was the biggest hit of the evening. The Chana Masala had the perfect texture--soft chickpeas simmered in a well-spiced gravy that had just the right amount of heat and tang. Cubes of paneer in there definitely made it a good overall combination and complemented with the PTM. The smoky and flavorful Baingan Bharta added an earthy depth to the meal as well. The eggplant was roasted beautifully, bringing out its natural flavors, which paired wonderfully with the Romali Roti. The roti was soft, thin, and warm, making it the ideal vehicle to soak up the gravies. We did end up heating the rotis in our microwave oven for about 10-15 seconds in batches and they remained perfect in their texture and taste. The Lacchay Pyaaz--freshly sliced onions with a sprinkle of masala--added a crunchy, refreshing bite to balance the richness of the other dishes. Overall, Delhicacies delivered an out of the world authentic North Indian culinary experience with each dish tasting as though it was prepared with care and precision. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and served fresh. Our guests were impressed, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service of delivery. If you're looking for reliable and delicious Indian catering, Delhicacies should be at the top of your list! Give them a chance and thank me later. You are welcome!!!

This review is…read morefor terrible service, the food remains untasted for me and hoping I get a chance in future to try it with better people around. While I didn't get a chance to try the food, the front-of-house service deserves zero stars. We walked in yesterday without realizing how busy it would be with the Amex/Resy cash back deadline, but being busy is no excuse for blatant rudeness to potential guests. As one host was taking down our name, another staff member practically shouted that they couldn't take walk-ins because all online reservations were full. That wasn't even true guys... we checked immediately and saw multiple open slots online and similarly multiple empty tables were visible in the restaurant as well. Given the hostile attitude, our party decided not to eat here. We took our business to another spot that managed to offer warm hospitality despite being just as crowded! Hoping it was just one off day. Thank you

I feel like I've been gatekeeping this LOL because I definitely don't see enough people taking advantage. It's such a good value and very tasty! I personally always get the bowl with butter chicken and grilled chicken kabob, but they have several to choose from like fish/shrimp/paneer/biryani. Everything on the business lunch menu is priced between about $20-$25. You can't beat that! If you look at the pic I posted you'll see they gave me: rice, butter chicken, some salad and sliced cucumbers, chicken kabob, papadum, and a malabar-style roti. I also asked for some mint green chutney on the side and they happily obliged. The menu price when i went was $21. For this price you are eating a very tasty meal at an upscale restaurant for lunch. I have been here several times for the same meal so I can vouch that it is consistently fresh and always tastes authentic. What I also like is that while the restaurant is upscale it's not a snooty upscale, you can come in and feel casual about it, especially since it's just lunch. Ok so there you have it, I know I've been gatekeeping it for so long, but go out and try it! Even if you work from home or are alone one day, get out of the house and have a good time :)

Now, for Jaks' review -- there are a few areas to take note 1) They were understaffed. The restaurant was packed, but it took a while for staff to take our order and for the food to come. Time spent here was mostly waiting. 2) Waitresses who delivered the food did not know what items they were bringing. 3) Their dishes are aesthetically pleasing but flavor is not there. According to my Indian coworkers, the food is not "authentic" and it's more tailored to American taste. 4) The amount of food compared to price did not match. I ordered a Awadhi Nihari and a mocktail that came to $60 without tax or tip. I did not leave with a full stomach -- I went home and ate more.

The restaurant was clean, tables were nicely set, and even the refrigerated sweets displayed at the front looked fresh and well kept. I'm particularly picky about cleanliness especially restaurant floors and bathrooms so I definitely notice when a place is well maintained.
