You won't be disappointed! The service was absolutely impeccable, and I don't say that lightly. Every dish we ordered was incredible - well spiced, fresh, delicious in every way. The ambiance was elegant and refreshing, with ambient lighting and a lovely atmosphere. Our server was so kind in walking us through the wine selections - highly recommend this restaurant!

Good food - not very spicy and very creamy. I would have liked more flavor, but atleast it's consistent with a previous experience. Ambiance is good. Service was excellent. Came here for an aunts birthday and the staff helped us coordinate a surprise. Will be back!

Came here with a large party, so we had a reservation. The interior is very classy with white tablecloths and pretty decor, giving a higher-end atmosphere. I got the Chicken Biriyani for myself. I loved the small pot it came in, and it was a deceptively large amount of food. It was well-spiced, and the meat was so tender. The servers were also super attentive and kind, happily cleaning up and replacing our tablecloth when a water glass got knocked over. I had a good time here and would recommend it for large parties that need vegetarian options -- there's something for everyone here!

Love the food here! The palak paneer is so creamy and delicious -- I could eat it all day. The tandoori chicken is also juicy and tasty. I can't find a better mango lassi than the one here.

We wanted to try their new speakeasy Amber at Dusk and it was such a vibe. The ambiance was bollywood with an interaction of hollywood. I loved the books and wall decorations. A great spot to come get drinks and read books! The service was quick with a friendly bartender and waiter. The drinks we got were the bengal tiger, cutting chai reloaded, mango mystery and gulabo. All of them were amazing! The food we got was the butter chicken sliders and oh my were they amazing. I frequent the regular Amber India in Los Altos but boy the Amber at Dusk did not disappoint!

Great Indian food, nice ambience, very friendly service. Family dinner - Simple, tasty, no frills desi fare. The Sesame leaf chat was well done, though I missed the unique Palak chat which is/used-to-be served at the SFO location. Chicken tikka with Zaatar(Middle Eastern) spices were very nice & succulent, a welcome change from the Orange stuff we are used to eating, Sheek Kebab pretty good & spicy. For mains, the Chettinad style Lamb curry & Chicken Tikka masala were perfectly done, not too creamy, rightly spiced. Have to compliment the Garlic Naan, it's a baseline dish defining quality. The Jal Jeera though tasted a bit like Panipuri water & needs some fine tuning. All said a hearty meal. Prices are standard for the area, bit on higher side, but portions were as good as any. Lastly, I want to compliment the host & the servers, they were very welcoming, smiling & earnest. Definite try.

Wow everything is so flavorful and delicious!…read more We got the butter chicken, "GOAT," "Mushies," "Mr. Potato," the cauliflower, the Dal Makhani, the Tandoori Salmon, and a Mango Lassi. Must get: The Potato Chaat, the Cauliflower, the "Mushies" and the Mango Lassi. The Potato Chaat and the cauliflower are the perfect appetizers. Really light but packed with so much flavor. The cauliflower dish here is the best cauliflower dish I've had at any restaurant. It's phenomenal. The "Mushies" is a Mushroom and peas pot pie. Its a really really rich and flavorful curry in a puff pastry and it goes perfectly together. They had an equivalent dish that was a chicken pot pie, so I wish that brought that back, but this dish is still really really good. The Mango Lassi is the best mango lassi I've had in norcal. I quickly finished mine and had to order another. It's really so delicious. The butter chicken is ofcourse also packed with flavor! You can't go wrong with this. The Kholapuri Goat Curry would've been one of my favorites but it's really hard to eat the meat since it's bone in. The curry was great and we ate that up very quickly, but there was so much bone in our dish and it was really hard picking out the meat from the bone. Wish it was boneless! Or atleast if there was more meat compared to bone. The salmon was whatever, we didn't eat much of it. It was good but underwhelming compared to the other amazing dishes. We had a reservation for 4, but they had us wait for ~15min past our reservation time. But they were pretty packed and it was loud. Service was great beyond that and they were very accommodating to any of our requests.

It was very delicious and flavourful. There was no overpowering spices flavours as most of the Indian restaurants do. It was a nice symphony. We sat outside as the weather was really pleasant and it was a great experience!

There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the service was speedy. You order on a kiosk, which makes for a streamlined ordering process. The food is always solid - I love all of their thali selections. This location was much more peaceful compared to the Palo Alto location. I stopped by on a Saturday evening, and there were only a couple tables that were occupied. I will say I feel like the portion sizes here are noticeably smaller than those at the Palo Alto location. This might be because all of the orders are packed to-go, so maybe there's less space for food? For instance, the thali from the Palo Alto location includes a side salad, which was not included in my order here. The other sides (pickled salad and daal lentil), along with the entree, were also significantly smaller here. The prices are the same, so I do think the Palo Alto dishes are more worth it.

TLDR: Honestly, a simply fantastic seasonal tasting menu…read moreexperience. It's beautifully decorated inside, the food was excellent & fresh, and the service was generally great. Would 100% come back for our favorites, and I'd recommend the meats here over the seafood. My favorite among the Eylan, Ettan, Copra sister restaurants! ------ FOOD: 1. [MUST TRY] TARO ROOT CHAAT (5/5) Wow wow wow. My new favorite way to enjoy chaat. Two crispy taro root chips sandwiching a medley of sauces, then covered thoughtfully in sev (short, crunchy noodles) and topped with pomegranate seeds. It's not only beautiful but also delicious. 2. RIBEYE (5/5) Had no expectations that this ribeye would be anything special, but it was surprisingly excellent quality. We absolutely loved it and the side of broccolini that came with it (super flavorful). 3. EYLAN CRISPY CHICKEN (5/5) Crispy exterior without excessive batter, super tender + juicy chicken, and great aioli to pair. The chicken comes out piping hot (be careful) with seasoning that adds the slightest kick. 4. CHILLED GREEN GRAPE CHAAS (4.75/5) Such a refreshing start to the meal. The flavors and textures were all perfect. The only reason this isn't a 5/5 is because, surprisingly, the semolina balls are slightly different sizes, so some were too big to have in one bite. 5. WOODFIRE CHICKEN SEEKH (4.5/5) Another chicken dish that comes out piping hot. Again, extremely tender chicken (texturally, maybe they marinaded the chicken in yogurt?). They kept emphasizing that a skewer only comes with 3 pieces, but each piece was actually quite large so we're glad we didn't over-order. Both the chicken and the chutney it comes with are very spicy though, so be prepared. 6. KOHLRABI & PINEAPPLE (4.5/5) The surprises kept coming. Honestly, had no idea what this was when I tried it, but the best way to describe it for others who have never had something like this before is an unbelievably flavorful Indian version of kimchi (without the fermentation). Thin slices of kohlrabi and pineapple with smokiness, sweetness, and crunch, smothered in a delicious glaze. WOW. 7. FROZEN SHRIKHAND (4.5/5) Another surprise win! The epitome of not-too-sweet. A very refreshing and easy-to-share dessert that is both light and rich at the same time. 8. KING TRUMPET MUSHROOM (4.25/5) A simple dish that reminded me of Mongolian skewered mushrooms. Nice smokey flavor paired with a flavorful seasoning sprinkled on top. 9. HISPI CABBAGE (4.25/5) Another nice vegetable dish where the cabbage is not only cooked nicely, but it's swimming in a thick curry that you can eat with your breads. 10. WOODFIRED NANTE CARROT (4.25/5) Like a sweet and savory crepe. Small but mighty, and another unexpectedly tasty item where the looks deceived you into think it was a simple item. 11. GULF SHRIMP (4/5) This was a nice dish but I found the shrimp to be slightly overcooked and slightly fishy. Not bad at all, but probably not something I'd order again. 12. EYLAN CHICKEN YAKHNI PULAO (4/5) Super interesting flavor I've never had before in a rice dish, and extremely generous with the amount of chicken used in this. Loved the crispy shallots as a garnish on top. Rice was a little dry. 13. CHARRED BLACK COD (4/5) Crispy skin and piping hot. The fish itself was not tough but it wasn't melt-in-your-mouth tender -- definitely firm. Had the slightest fishiness to it in my opinion but it's still not bad. I think the move here is Eylan's meats though. 14. FLAXSEED POEE (3.75/5) Loved that it came out freshly-baked, easy to share, and super fluffy. Very high quality but the flaxseed flavor wasn't my favorite and there was something about the avocado saag that made it taste more like a condiment than something to eat with the poee. 15. BERRY MAKHANA KHEER (2/5) This is just a personal preference. These kinds of desserts are not for me flavor-wise. Also difficult to eat since we were given flat plates and this is a liquid dessert. ------ ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE: * This is a truly beautiful restaurant. It's clear that they put a lot of attention into each detail and decoration, reminiscent of Copra in SF or Ettan nearby (sister restaurants). * They play music semi-loudly in the restaurant which creators a very lively atmosphere that I actually quite liked, but you can also ask them to turn down the music if it ever gets bothersome. * The restaurant is located alongside a main road in Menlo Park, but it's a bit more tucked away from the road such that it doesn't feel too exposed. ------ SERVICE: * Maybe because we were a large group, but they gifted us a plate of delicious Naankhatai (Indian Ghee Cardamom Shortbread) after dessert and those cookies were divine. We asked for the last couple to be packed up, and to our surprise, they gave us a whole new batch of cookies! That's excellent service. * They were diligent about filling our waters, wiping down our tables, and providing enough serving spoons for all our dishes.

Ordered black cod, zafrani paneer for mains . Ricotta kebab and woodfired chicken seekh for starters. The food was good fusion of flavour and presentation. Tonight I was craving a home style chicken and rice dish similar to what my mom makes . Now I know it's not possible to get that from a restaurant, but the closest to that is the Donne biryani preparation that a few places offer in the Bay Area. So I looked up Yelp and found this spot. The fact that it already had 4.9 stars was reassuring but I didn't put too many expectations on it. But what I did was call the place and make sure they'd be open by the time I made that 28 mile drive. I spoke to a person named Sagar who took my order and told me to take my time getting there and drive carefully! Husband and I got there around 9:30pm and it's a cloud kitchen setup with kitchens in the back and a point of sale kiosk and counter at the front. As instructed I called Sagar and he came up to the counter with my food, and also let me know he had added a free dessert since I drove all the way from Hayward . Husband and I got home and immediately dug in and what can I say, the flavors totally took me back to my mom's kitchen. The Donne biryani was bursting with taste, and what made it superb was that the flavors were in balance, with neither the spices nor the aromatics being overpowering in any way. The other dish, the pepper chicken was epic by itself, and should have been enjoyed with a bread of some sort, because the biryani didn't need any accompaniment. As if this meal wasn't divine enough the cherry on top was the pineapple kesari dessert that Sagar kindly added to our takeout bag. Thanks Nalapaka, for a taste of home, away from home !
