First of all Pat is just so cool. I buy primarily the lemon and chocolate Italian ices. Ok, I'm 66…read more I've had ices since the 60s. Never have I tasted such rich lemon and chocolate. There are bits of lemon in the lemon ices and the chocolate reminds me of the Lindt 70% dark chocolate I truffles Iove. I get quarts at a time. Before they close the store for the winter I make sure to stock up. So, I have lemon ice for Christmas desert! I got online to see if what my wife told me she suspected is true. She said she thought The Little Sweet Shoppe did not open this Summer. I am beside myself. I'm hoping she's mistaken. Sorry Corona Lemon Ice King. Your product doesn't hold a candle to what they have. I think it will be impossible to find such great ices anywhere else. Just one little thing to remedy. Someone posted a 1 review. Some asinine remark about 'vegan'. Moron. I hope all is ok Pat. You and your wonderful place will be missed.

I also got a sample of the salted caramel vegan ice cream and it was delicious, but a little too heavy for what I wanted that day. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. Super welcoming and nice! They have tons of candy and unique flavors of their ice creams and sorbets that I would definitely come back for!

I've always eyed the dried fruit at the Nuts Factory in FH but never bought any. I have to say, they were really good and I have to go back for more! One staff member was inside the store, tending to all the bins. She was the sweetest and was just as excited about the chocolate Pringle's as I was. I'll be sure to go back and visit this location to try it. Also I love their little pop up nuts factory mascot out front. I think it's what made me officially want to check out what this location had.

The lady asked us if we needed help .. but we just wanted to look around before selecting. There was so many things we wanted to buy but we were actually on our way to lunch so we only bought two items... The chocolate is a lil pricey .. L got some Dubai chocolate mixed with dates and one with nuts.. We ate some later on when we got home... it tasted pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate but it I liked the three layers so it wasn't entirely chocolate...I did like the crispy part.. I'd def choose this chocolate over expensive brands from specialty supermarkets..tastes a lot better.

When I took a bite of the second piece, immediately I tasted MOLD - a rotten, moldy, sour taste and I spit out the piece. I sealed the bag and will be taking it back to the store. I hope to God it will not give me food poisoning. There are no expiration dates on these Turkish delight candies - so God only knows how old they are. It is a serious health safety concern when you have mold growing on your food products. You endanger your customers' health. While their sunflower seeds and Dubai chocolate are delicious (and I believe fresh), I don't trust anything else there anymore. I'm disgusted. The pistachio piece I'm posting a photo of, is the one that has mold on it. You can't see it but you can absolutely taste it. Scary. P.S. I called the store several times to inform them that they have mold on their food products, but no one ever answered the phone and their "voice mail box is full" so you cannot leave a message. I would advise every customer to TASTE THE FOOD YOU BUY RIGHT IN THE STORE, so you can return it right then and there if you too suspect mold.

Their selection of dried fruits / candies have been a better post dinner snack than most of the lackluster dessert places in the hood. Nestled along Roosevelt between Prince and Main, it is a little space that often gets lost in the jungle of noodle shops, vitamin stores, salons, and bakeries. If you're not looking for it, it's way too easy place to miss. Once inside, it's all Chinese from there. I have neither seen any of the ladies who work here speak English nor any English signs to indicate what kinds of dried goods are what. Even though I have no idea how good their English is, it also never hurts to be with a Mando / Canto speaker either. I've purchased my fair share of tea leaves here, in addition to the occasional sack of dried plums. Prices are never an issue and it seems their selection is getting better. But I can't stay in here too long during summertime. Something about the absence of an air conditioner with the smells from all of the "herbs" in here make for a unbearably good time.
