I drove from downtown to Miramar because the first location did not work out. I had to take it back because they hold your documents for a few days. That did not sit too well with me. He was honest though. If you paid cash it's $5. He saw my box and did not change the price. Too bad we didn't do business though. read more

As a small business, we try to patronize other local small businesses. That this is a veteran owned business is a bonus. We had over 100 file boxes worth of docs that needed shredding, so I checked my options. After calling several closer places and getting voicemail, I called Shred-Docs and Sam answered the phone right away. Sam was very professional and friendly. They do accept "walk-ins" but we gave Sam a heads up due to the quantity (especially leading up to the Christmas Holiday). I made all the arrangements and my husband delivered the boxes for processing. The pricing was on point and the service was great. My husband even had a great conversation with Sam while unloading the boxes. We will definitely use Shred-Docs for all our document disposal needs moving forward. I came from Oceanside, North County San Diego to drop off my 660 pounds of documents. Had I gone to the UPS store that would have been $660 at $1 per pound as quoted. This was well worth the drive as they are currently running a special. Give them a call and Troy and Sam (owner and operators) can schedule you for a pick up or drop off. I pulled up and was told to relax as they unloaded the boxes for me. I know I will be using them again. read more

Alrighty, so this is a medical waste disposal company...that had so many people request shredding that they do that as well. It is off site, note. Now, for the $5 per file box, it makes sense--for off site. Many places charge that amount for on site, but not immediately done in front of you (which is usually $8 per box) so it is still within reason. As it is a medical waste place, one can assume the government is breathing down their neck enough for that that they are pretty careful with compliance etc. The door is locked, there is a dog, there is a signed mini agreement, and there are cameras so one may assume they are on the right track. Anyways, good service, good deal, and decent location. Side rant: One may note that the curve into the driveway off Miramar road is a sharp curve almost in a ultra tight u turn which resulted in my van having the alignment messed up from hitting the curb with a bad turning radius to avoid hitting a car flying out. So, take it ultra super slow and creep onto the sidewalk to get in there without messing up your alignment or hitting a crazy driver (although the driveway technically is not that wide either). It looks like the grass is dead in that corner from people doing that. read more

Doesn't get any easier that this. I have had a trash bag full of documents needing shredding staring at me for months. Not feeling like spending hours pushing them through a home office shredder, I finally decided to see if there might be a drop off location of a shredding service around town. After a quick google search, I found their address, stopped by with my bag of old documents, and I was in and out in 5 minutes. Dropped 7 small boxes off at 3:50 on a Friday afternoon - thinking I had arrived just moments before their 4:00PM closing time. I walked in and was greeted by Troy; very friendly. He said I'm glad you caught me since its past closing time and reminded me (I saw it last week, but forgot) that they close at 2PM on Fridays. My disappointment didn't even last 10 seconds, Troy told me he would help me anyway and said not to worry about it. I told him that I was moving and planning to use the boxes for the move, so could I save the boxes? He said no problem and came out to my car with one of their locking rolling large containers and emptied the boxes into the container for me in less than 5 minutes. What a pleasure to do business with someone friendly, price competitive and very competent. And besides that he helped me nearly two hours after closing time (try that in a restaurant). I took two large boxes of shred to them during my move and they were friendly and reasonably priced. Only reason I'm doing three and not five stars is because they didn't show me/take my items directly to the shredding area, which is shared amongst a few businesses.
