The building where they recently moved to was a little hard to find. You turn into a driveway and not a marked street but Google maps does ID the location. There is a sign on the door but not a large one. It's in a commercial strip center. I walked inside not really knowing if I was at the right place. But they took my box of papers to be shredded and it was very reasonable. They were polite,professional and provided me with a receipt. $6. " Data Disposal Did What A Lot Of Companies Won't " I called many different Paper Shredding Companies in San Diego because I wanted to watch my personal documents being shred. Most companies said to me " No Your Documents will be hauled away by a company and shredded a few days later ". Since I had a company take my personal documents and "Hack Them" in the past when I wanted them shredded, I definitely wanted to watch my documents getting shredded this time. Galen Carroll the Operations Manager and Owner was very nice on the phone when I asked him If I could watch my documents being shredded. Galen told me what time frame that I could bring my documents over to the company to get shredded. When I arrived at Data Disposal, Galen again was very nice and professional as he walked me to the back of the company building where I watched as Galen shredded all of my documents. Data Disposal only charged me $8.00 per box which was a very good price for the personal service. I will definitely come back to Data Disposal again to get my next boxes of documents shredded. Even though my box had almost no papers in it, I was still charged $5 for the entire box. I'm sorry $6 for the dollar fee I had to pay for using my card. The man on the phone said when I called that when I got there that they would make adjustments accordingly. When I said something to the red headed man who rung me up about it still costing that much even though it was hardly full he had a short response as if $5 is so much money. Had a cocky attitude. I don't think what I was charged was the fair at all. This was not my first time dropping boxes off, but I think that may have been my last.
