It was honestly the best time I've had at the optometrist's, and I didn't even know that was a place you could have a good time! The environment was very warm and welcoming; well-lit and open; the carpet was actually vacuumed. I honestly felt at home in that office. I very highly recommend Premier Eye Care to any and everyone. I woke up with sticking and tears streaming from my eye and I had problems seeing clearly from that eye. I thought it would soon go away but it didn't, it actually got worse. The following day I went into Thompson Eye Care but Dr Gerald wasn't there so I saw Dr Kathryn. She was super helpful and gentle with my eye. She ran thorough exams and explained everything she was doing. By the time she was through my eye felt a bit better and she called in prescription which I picked up that night and I was told to return the next day. The following day my eye felt better but still had the same symptoms this time I saw Dr Gerald who greeted me and told me Dr Kathryn apprised him of my problem. He ran a couple tests and took photos and he explained what he was seeing. He asked me some questions which made me realize that I had wiped my eye with a tissue and it scratched my eye. This caused the discomfort and an infection. This is the reason I have been coming to this place for my eye care. This father/daughter team is super able to make me feel taken care of. Over the years I have had my eye problems handled effectively, they are both patient and helpful. I actually know a couple of neighbors who also come here and they both love their services.

But that seems to be the trend lately with a lot of practices. First of all, I have a large amount of respect for office staff. I believe they work hard to make the patient's experience a positive one. However, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, I wanted to report a phone problem to the office manager. I politely asked to see her. She never came out. Realizing she is a busy person, I asked that she call me -- which never happened. Here was the issue, which I thought to be significant. I had an eye issue which I thought needed to be addressed. I started calling about 1130 on Tuesday morning, September 1. The message on the phone said the voicemail was full and no one was picking up. I tried about 10 times -- so did my husband -- with the same message -- mailbox is full. Then I tried texting -- no response to my message. I tried online. Actually, my reason for the visit didn't fit any of the criteria listed. I tried for about three hours to get through. My husband tried. Finally, I just got in my car and drove over to the facility to make an appointment. (Wednesday -- there are no doctors in the office which I find rather unsettling). On my scheduled appointment, I thought the office manager should be aware of the situation I faced int rying to make an appointment -- however, as stated above, there was no communication between the two of us even though I respectfully asked. I thought it was important that they be aware of the issue. Again I have total respect for staff but I felt the phone issue was critical.

This doctor does not care what his patients want. My wife had a procedure to remove skin from her eyelids. We were willing to pay but after the eye test were told insurance would cover it. After the procedure it did not look like enough skin was removed. We thought the swelling had to go down. This doctor said all the swelling was gone and he only removed what insurance would feel was necessary. WHAT??? That's not what was requested. It's the same procedure with a little more skin removed. What an idiot. Does she now have to get another procedure and pay out of pocket?

I was advised I could get them within a week (visit was 10 Dec 2026) as long as I paid a 30$ rush fee. I called after the first week and they were not in. Was advised they would come that Saturday- they did not arrive. They did not arrive the week after. I called both locations, left a VM and a text message... no response. I called VSP and they went through the exact same thing, with the office not responding by phone. By the time they came in, I was out of town and currently still out. I ended up getting another eye exam and glasses somewhere else. When I asked for a refund, Dr. Lamont wanted to mail glasses to my vacation location- this was NOT an option. When I asked VSP why Dr. Lamont and his team would advise me that a rush on my glasses was given as an option, I was told that VSP does NOT do rush orders in the month of December. When I asked if the doctor knew this, I was advised that he was definitely aware of this, and they were unsure why it was offered. All I want is a refund for my glasses AND benefits, due to not being able to reach the office for cancelation and for being misled about my order.
