Had an unfortunate return of eyeritis after two years. Wanted to make sure I found someone who…read morereally knew what they were doing. I found Dr. William B. Phillips -read all the reviews, considered his specialty, and location and of course took our insurance. Tic, tic toc..all the boxes and reviews met my expectstions. Called and got an appt for the same day I called - at his Clinton, location where he was ate ending that day. I got there late and a little blind bc I missed my exit like twice LOL. I was even preparing myself to not be seen for my tardiness but I was seen relatively soon after I completed my paperwork. The check in staff was very professional, the office was clean, quiet, and comfortable -there were even snacks in the "inner" wait room. I met with Dr. Phillips- he was personable and knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I was sure I'd found my MD eye specialist. My followup visit was to the Bowie office which was closer. I WAS ON TIME :) The Bowie office too was inviting, clean. And quiet. The staff here, too, were patient, they are working to smooth somemhiccups and train new personnel, but in all it was a really great experience. Again I met Dr. Philip and he was he same "on point" thoroigh self. The office is set in what may be a new office building space. The building lobby is cool.

Excellent experience. I had PRK at the Bowie location and couldn't be happier!!! I initially went…read morein for LASIK but after their extensive testing found that I was a better candidate for PRK. (Looking back- I am happier it worked out this way- no flap!). The staff and Doctors are extremely personable and friendly and truly made me feel comfortable, which is important in any setting, but especially when your eyes are involved it is a bit of a scary surgery to commit to. I drove all the way from Vienna VA to go to this office and would absolutely say it was worth the drive. I would recommend to anyone who is considering lasik or prk to go here. Everything is very clean, and professional and they explain everything thoroughly and take their time. The office is very busy, but I never felt like I was just another patient. Something else I really liked about the office is that they keep it dark.(not DARK but they don't use a lot of bright fluorescent bulbs) Sounds weird, but after surgery or after having your eyes dilated this was a nice added bonus. A good example of how I felt they went the "extra mile" The fact that they did enough testing to decide that LASIK wasn't the best choice for me was impressive. I have had two doctors tell me that LASIK would be fine, but the testing they did was not nearly as extensive. I am grateful because I probably would have just gotten lasik, even though it isn't the best option for my eyes. Kind of scary to think there are doctors out there that will just do a surgery without paying that much attention. I am glad now that each time I thought I was ready for the surgery I chickened out, so I could finally find this office. Highly, Highly recommended!

When I woke up one morning and found that my left eye was red, painful and light sensitive, I knew…read morethat I urgently needed to see an ophthalmologist. After calling several offices, I was unable to get an emergency appointment. Thankfully, when I called Capital Eye, Dr. Mark Gonzalez recognized that I needed to be seen and was able to schedule an appointment right away. Let me first mention that his staff was extremely nice (which is important since they are the first impression for a doctor) and they seem to work well together as a team. More importantly, I found Dr. Gonzalez to be WONDERFUL. He was very friendly, pleasant and thorough with my examination (even when he chastised me for wearing my lenses overnight). He explained my condition without me having to Google to understand and contacted me the next day to follow up. I really appreciate the care I received and I am happy to entrust my eye care to him. I would recommend Dr. Gonzalez (and his staff) HIGHLY.

I consider this a public service announcement:…read more I have been a patient of Solomon Eye Associates for over 45 years. I had cataract surgery in December that left me blind in my left eye. The end result was needing a cornea transplant. Obviously I was very disappointed in outcome. The worst part of my dealings with Dr. Solomon was the fact that 2 days before my cornea transplant surgery they called me into their office and notified me that I had to pay an additional $5-$10k (shakedown) because they were not making "enough" profit. If I did not pay immediately they would remove me from the surgery schedule and refer me to another doctor. They tried to explain the additional cost as "additional premium services". After discussing with Dr. Solomon I found this isn't truthful and it as simple as not making enough profit. Apparently United Health Care doesn't pay Solomon and the Surgery Center enough for this procedure. After seeing Dr. Stephen Solomon for almost 50 years I have personally witnessed the decline in care. Solomon Associates has become a factory that appears to be taking advantage of patients. Please perform some amount of due diligence when picking a Ophthalmologist. I would highly recommend NOT using Solomon Eye Associates.

A Truly Exceptional Physician…read more It's not easy to find a doctor you can truly trust--someone who listens to you, genuinely cares about your well-being, and makes you feel like a person rather than just a number. Dr. Graham-Brock is that kind of physician. From my very first appointment, she demonstrated a spirit of excellence** in the care and service she provides. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her patients feel heard, respected, understood, and valued. Her level of care is truly rare and invaluable. Dr. Graham-Brock was attentive, professional, compassionate, understanding, respectful, and incredibly personable. What stood out most to me was the time she took to listen and engage with me as an individual. I also appreciated that she shared a little about herself. That personal touch immediately made me feel comfortable and helped establish a genuine sense of trust. I honestly wasn't expecting to leave every appointment feeling so impressed, comfortable, and reassured--but I did. I walked away feeling confident that I had found a physician who truly cares about her patients. I am incredibly grateful to have found my new primary care physician in Dr. Graham-Brock. I sincerely hope MPCP recognizes the tremendous value she brings to their organization and, most importantly, to the lives of her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Graham-Brock to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and truly patient-centered physician. Largo location: Two…read morestars. Giving this two stars instead of one because the doctor is excellent and makes you feel heard once you finally see him. However, the wait times are unacceptable. I arrived at 11:52 am for my noon appointment and I am still sitting in the exam room at 2:00 PM waiting to see the doctor. At no time did anyone come into the exam room to apologize or explain Dr Takem has been held up by a difficult case. If this wasn't for an urgent medical issue, I would have walked out. Update: I decided to leave around 2:10 PM. I went to the front desk to reschedule for an early morning appointment so that I will be sure to be seen at a reasonable time. Today is June 7 and their next available is not until the end of July. I stated before this is an urgent health matter so I had no other choice but to turn around and come back to the exam room to wait. He is a good doctor, but it appears that they are scheduling patients on top of each other and it's unprofessional.
