Had an unfortunate return of eyeritis after two years. Wanted to make sure I found someone who…read morereally knew what they were doing. I found Dr. William B. Phillips -read all the reviews, considered his specialty, and location and of course took our insurance. Tic, tic toc..all the boxes and reviews met my expectstions. Called and got an appt for the same day I called - at his Clinton, location where he was ate ending that day. I got there late and a little blind bc I missed my exit like twice LOL. I was even preparing myself to not be seen for my tardiness but I was seen relatively soon after I completed my paperwork. The check in staff was very professional, the office was clean, quiet, and comfortable -there were even snacks in the "inner" wait room. I met with Dr. Phillips- he was personable and knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I was sure I'd found my MD eye specialist. My followup visit was to the Bowie office which was closer. I WAS ON TIME :) The Bowie office too was inviting, clean. And quiet. The staff here, too, were patient, they are working to smooth somemhiccups and train new personnel, but in all it was a really great experience. Again I met Dr. Philip and he was he same "on point" thoroigh self. The office is set in what may be a new office building space. The building lobby is cool.

Came for my follow up. The doctor that I usually see is no longer with the practice, so I saw a new…read moredoctor, Dr. Mahdavi, who completed a fellowship at the Narional Retina Institude, and is now a part of the practice. I was greeted by pleasant staff (as always) at this location, as it is my first time here. I was given an eye exam along with the standard dilation to check that the inner workings of the eye were good to go (they were). All of this was in preparation for my visit with Dr. Mahdavi. Upon my visit with Dr. Mahdavi, my first impressions are good. He had a great chair side manner, reminded me that he was indeed one of the fellows during my first visits at NRI. He gave me great advice in getting some drops for dry eyes ( making sure it was preservative-free) and I look forward to my future eye visits with him. All in all, thus practice is great at providing excellent eye care.

When I got home a girl called and demanded more money. She said THEY made a mistake and needed to…read morecharge me more. I didn't realize she made a mistake because she charged me what I was told the price would be (they are deceptive as well). So, I was about to pass out because my eye felt like a serrated knife being jabbed in and out, and I told her so. She started yelling at me "Give us more money, give us more money" into the phone, and I told her I needed to lie down because I was about to pass out from pain, and of course I couldn't really see and had to hang up. Somehow, after several weeks my eyes recovered and I went for another shot from someone different. This Dr was in a hurry and just jabbed the needle in my eye roughly and quickly, ran out of the room, and I ended up with deteriorated vision. If you value your eyes or your eyesight or your life for that matter, do not go to any of the places that are part of this chain. They are dishonest, deceptive, and only care about getting your money.
