The owner had her 3 dogs in a makeshift crate and as my pup was being walked to the back for a nail trim, they all lunged, barked and growled at him. I want showtime back! I used to love this place but lately the customer service is horrible. I think it changed ownership, the person that answers the phone talks to you like she's doing you a favor. She never smiles or says hello when I drop off my dog, she makes me feel uneasy wondering if she if she's not nice to the customers, is she nice to the dogs that go there? I'm really going to miss my groomer but just talking to the front desk makes me have an upset stomach. This place is strange. It's super convenient for me and I brought my dog there for two years. Then they stopped answering their phone, and when they would, the next available appointment would be in two months. I don't know if anyone else experienced that but it just seemed so weird. My little 8-year-old Havanese, Toby, has had such a tough time finding a groomer he feels comfortable with. It's been a real struggle, and honestly, I was a little hesitant to try yet another place. A friend recommended Showtime, and I'm so incredibly grateful they did. From the moment I spoke with TT, Toby's groomer, I felt a glimmer of hope. She just *got* it. Highly disappointed with showtime grooming and will not be returning! I had been bringing my Frenchie here for years to get a full service with nail trim/file and her teeth brushed. In the full service they include anal gland expression which I asked about the additional cost and said she would receive every service so it was all the more reason I continued to bring her in for the full service. Never have they ever informed me of it not being possible because of her being a Frenchie (since they don't have tails). I went in today after inquiring via text that this would be for an anal gland expression and nail file/trim. They responded and text back with the price and that she can come in any time before 1pm. When I walk in, I'm immediately told she cannot get anal gland expression only her nails because she doesn't have a tail (most frenchies don't) and recommended I have the vet do it. I said what do you mean she's been coming here for years and I've been told she gets it done, then the lady responds it is included in the full service if we can do it and if it's requested which I said exactly I've done both and was aware of it being included and asking for it to be done for her services. She just stuttered excuses so I asked then I've been lied to, I don't understand I've been bringing her in for years under the impression these services get done but the one time I only bring her in for anal gland expression and nail file/trim all of a sudden she can't because she doesn't have a tail, she's never had a tail and y'all are liars!! The person that told me to bring her in for the services knew what kind of dog it was because they see it in their system with the number they responded to. Just trying to make a quick buck, I would not have been upset if from the very beginning I was told she could not get her anal expression due to her tail but to be lied to all these years all of a sudden with no accountability, it was very disheartening so I just left! I will never be bringing her back and would recommend you beware of bringing your dog here. read more

I made an appointment with Taryn for a post COVID haircut for my pup, well at least he looks that way after the cut since he is actually 13 years old now. They did a great job giving him a puppy cut and they took care to watch out for the one area where he had an injury before. We got him from a dog rescue when he was a puppy and his left hind leg injured which took about a year for him to stop walking on 3 paws and actually use all 4. Usually after a bath and cut he limps around for a day like he did when we rescued him but at Showtime he didn't have that issue so I know they took good care of him and didn't force him much out of his comfort zone. I can tell they take good care of the dogs that come in based on this fact. For SIP rules they had you call from inside your vehicle and would come outside to pick up your pet. Appointment is necessary now as they are highly backed up due to the layoff from shelter in place. They texted when he was about 30 minutes from being complete and they brought him outside once I arrived for pickup. I appreciate the precautions they are taking to keep both their customers and their staff safe during these difficult times. Overall it was a great spot to bring my pup, he looks and smells great and he didn't aggrevate his limp. Great job Showtime staff. read more

I've had mixed results, mostly positive. Good: They were very gentle with our dog as a puppy. You hear horror stories about dogs being scarred for life from groomers. They were awesome. They have always been responsive when you call. They are friendly on the phone and when you drop your dog off. My dog always comes back relaxed and super clean. Mixed good/bad: I like having my dogs fur shaped a little bit more in one area with the rest just trimmed. I think I've had 3 different people over the last year just to try out. I'll go with first available appointment. Some are super friendly about shaping a little, it's no bother. Other groomers give me pushback. "We just trim, I don't do that". And then when they gave me the dog back they didn't blend or fade the shaping in so the fur weird lines. Since I can't go into the shop (COVID rules still ongoing where you just drop the dog off), I'm not sure who my fave people are. I'm going to figure them out and stay with them. read more

SO grateful for Showtime! My boyfriend and I brought our rescue dog, Maggie, here for a groom as we were turned away from another place when she tried to bite their groomer. We warned the Showtime staff beforehand that Maggie was extremely anxious around strangers and would not be afraid to bite and they reassured us that they would take her despite her anxiety. When we dropped Maggie off at Showtime, she was already growling and barking at the staff member that came to our car to pick her up. Due to the amount of dogs they were grooming that day, they said it would take roughly 4 hours until we could pick her up. We handed Maggie over to the staff and spent the next few hours wondering how she was doing and hoping she wasn't causing too much trouble. About 3.5 hours later, I gave Showtime a call to check up on Maggie and how she was doing. The staff told us she was extremely scared and was likely abused prior to being rescued as she was yelping at the top of her lungs; they ended up having to muzzle her as a result. However, despite Maggie's anxiety and fear, Showtime did a really great job on her cut! Before the cut, Maggie's coat was uneven (the shelter we rescued her from didn't do a full groom as they only groomed her for her spay surgery) and her tail and ears were also extremely matted. Showtime managed to take care of the matted areas and we are so thrilled with the results. Thank you, Showtime, for your patience in handling Maggie! We'll definitely be back regularly. read more

Called this place to try and book a grooming for my 50/50 Labradoodle and they rejected me because of her breed, saying they "aren't taking any new Doodle clients at this time." I specifically asked if this was because of her breed, to which they responded "yes", so I explained that she's only 50% Poodle (rather than the 75% or 87.5% which is the case for most Doodles). This means that her fur is not at all curly like a regular Doodle; she looks more like a scruffy Lab. I figured maybe they aren't taking Doodles because the fur can be so thick/curly that it's too time consuming. I was again told that they still wouldn't take her because she's a Doodle, which makes me think they don't like the purported disposition of Doodles (though I would also argue that my dog acts much more like a Lab). Regardless of the reasoning, this place is literally a dog grooming establishment, so picking and choosing based on breed feels very unprofessional. I would've been a little more satisfied if they at least offered for me to bring my dog in to see in-person whether or not they could take her as a client. If the staff here are not experienced and/or professional enough to groom virtually any breed of dog, I suppose I'll be glad to take my business elsewhere. read more

I am so lucky I went to a place that knows what it's doing for my doodles first grooming. I didn't know to ask for just a scissor cut to not damage her coat and not shave her. When I picked her up, my groomer said "her coat was too gorgeous to use a shaver, I used scissors all over." I mean wow! I could have picked up a shaven pup because I was so clueless. Penny looked so beautiful and fluffy when I picked her up. I should add that she had zero stress. She wasn't crying or seemed upset at all! I usually NEVER write a negative review but i am beyond infuriated by the service and cut my dog received at Showtime Pet Grooming. Added before and after pictures so anyone who is considering this establishment understands the nightmare of a look they created for my baby girl right before a holiday season. As I am visiting during Thanksgiving I normally do not come to this groomer. However I took a chance and regret my decision every time I look at my girl now. When I came in I was SUPER specific that I simply wanted a trim and that to make sure she still looks the same overall; just slightly trimmed. I also added PLEASE do not cut her eye lashes. As you can see what my girl looked like before. The groomer literally just took the blade and chopped all her fluff off including her long lashes to the end! I did not even notice her when I came to pick her up! I didn't make a scene there because I literally was in shock. When i called the next day after I had some time to realize how horribly they messed up to rectify the situation.... I was told I can bring my dog back in. To what??? Add hair??? I said I was willing to pay for the wash as that service was done properly and I feel I should NOT pay for the cut portion. The lead person in charge told me a manager would call me. NEVER happened! The girl on the phone also said they don't do refunds and that a "threat" of a negative YELP review isn't a concern. It wasn't a threat... I said I would hate to leave a negative review if I can't get a refund. Honestly at this point it has nothing to do with money because even a refund won't reverse the atrocious job they did to my dog. Hair grows back but during the holidays are where my family and I take the most pics of her and her hair will take a while to come back. If anyone understands the feeling of seeing your dog like this and how helpless it is that you can't change it, you know how insanely upsetting it is. I would NEVER come back to this place in my dogs lifetime. Not just for the horrific job they did with her cut but the even worse job management/ownership did in not rectifying the situation. Even a simple "we're so sorry". NOTHING. To ownership: Your integrity and ability to provide for your family depends on how you treat your customers and a high level of service. So yes YELP reviews do matter and I hope anyone reading this takes a serious second thought about giving the pet you love and hard earned money to these people! read more

Took my dog for a nail trim for the first and last time.. Walked in, and told them I would like a nail trim and file. Once my dog was taken to the back, things were quiet until I heard him squeal and cry. He has never done that before but he was brought out right after and didn't seem like he was in pain. The associate brought him by, let me know that they couldn't do the nail filing, charged me for half the nail trimming done and then, we were on our way. I've had a few grooming a here and a couple walk in nail trims. First grooming I didn't like but I realized they just did exactly what I told them to do, so completely not their fault at all. I just didn't like what I had imagined/ told the groomer. After that, I was SUPER detailed in what I wanted in my dogs cut (I'm sure the poor groomers are rolling their eyes internally at me - im sorry! I promise I'm nice, I just want my doggy to be cute!). However. .. That's the key. I come in with my notes app with like 8 bullet points of what i want, what I want left alone, what I'm hoping to accomplish in the next few months for my dogs hair , and etc... and that's been the trick. Perfect (to me) cut each time. Walk in nail trims are easy. Takes about 5-10 min if they're not busy. Also saw people using the self wash station which I think is a great price if you don't have a place to wash your fur babies at home. Also love their Instagram. Always posting their cute clients . I use to like this place, but not anymore. -New ownership/Management -SUPER rude staff in person and on the phone -They lie about who is really cutting your pets hair. When you "book" with someone, it's some rookie in the back doing it. -Fees fees fees all over the place. For any little thing. If your dog breathes in their space, they will charge you for it -They take too long to groom your dog. My dog literally stood there from 12-6 pm. I mean, c'mon. A small 12lbs dog, who needed a basic cut and bath. Really? -My dogs haircuts are always inconsistent. Sometimes they're good and at times my dog comes back looking a little choppy and not like a 5 hour job. -They lack communication, if something is wrong they won't communicate it, will again charge you. -They upped the charges on a haircut and bath. Minimum is now $70 bucks. Ridiculous! -My dog has come back with fleas a few times from this place, which if you read other people yelp reviews, is obviously a problem that they try to talk their way out of like they take care of it. If you are looking for a new groomer for your pet, skip this as I have been here for 7 years until they changed ownership and was bought out. Things increasingly become negative there, especially the girls that work there. They are beyond rude. I had always liked the nail trim service provided here until today. It was usually fast and my dog was never hurt by the previous groomers. Today, the nail trim was taking excessively long and I already started to worry. When the groomer put my dog back into my passenger seat, I noticed he flew to the back seats right away. But the groomer only said "he was very good" in such a pleasant tone, so I thought everything went really well. Once we got home, I carried my dog out and walked him outside. Then I saw bloody marks everywhere on the ground. I checked the back seats of my car and there were also lots of blood stains. This is the first time I had this groomer, and I know my dog has darker colored nails. I understand sometimes things happen but why not at least let me know so that I could stop the bleeding once I get home? That could also avoid having blood all over my car and my house? read more
