Very different experience at this location than the one in Wake Forest. The employees were friendly, if a bit distracted in very busy. The food was OK, however, I've developed a really bad stomach problem since we left a few hours ago and I'm hoping it is not food poisoning. Relatively clean, extremely busy and unbelievably loud. Met someone there for lunch and the noise level was very distracting. Definitely prefer the Wake Forest location. Good amount of parking and in a pretty central location of Brier Creek.

Was craving something fresh yet yummy after a full day of doctor's visits on 6/10/2025. I ordered the calabash shrimp while my sister ordered chicken and we both enjoyed all of our food. Service was quick- I noticed that they no longer serve their fresh juices. This wasn't a deal breaker for me as I ordered water. Just may be something to document if you were a fan! Entrees come with 4 hushpuppies, several condiments and a lemon wedge. All great pairing options.

I've loved the Showmars Pita Burger since I was in college in Charlotte many moons ago! Today, on a beautiful Saturday, I decided to wash my car and run some other weekend errands. This was perfect for a meal at the Briar Creek Showmars just off US-70 near RDU. Frankie's is close by if you want to play miniature (put-put) golf or arcade games. The restaurant is an order at the counter and they'll bring your food to your table. They use numbered table tents to find you. Always greeted with a big smile by a charming, polite, patient, friendly and knowledgeable person at the counter. This visit, I hardly sat down, and my hot meal arrived. I had the Original Pita burger that is basically a gyro with beef burger, instead of gyro, meat. The combo meal comes with fries. I had a 1/2 sweet to unsweetened iced tea to drink. Everything was fresh and delicious. The food was hot and the tea was cold. I am going to get a milkshake to go! I'll be back again! Use their app to earn points and get rewards

One of my favorite spots to grab a fish sandwich. It's hard finding a good fish sandwich in the area and these guys always seem to deliver. Let me warn you, the fish sandwich is big. So bring two stomachs. Great service, great staff, and there's always Ample parking.

My first visit here was a quick, pleasant surprise. This casual restaurant offered immediate service; no line, and my food came out faster than I expected. I ordered a flounder fish sandwich. While the food wasn't bursting with flavor, it was undeniably good--a significant improvement over any fast-food fish sandwich. I look forward to returning return and trying more of their menu.

Good spot for quick fresh good tasting food. They have a variety of items from burgers, gyros, fish and chicken sandwiches. Ordering is easy and the food comes out really fast. They have ample seating in the restaurant. The place has a nice clean decor. Prices aren't bad. I got a chocolate shake and their famous fried fish sandwich and it filled me up. The fried fish was fresh and crispy with not a lot of breading and just some light sauce to add flavor. It didn't feel too heavy on my stomach either.

Showmars has been a favorite for us for a long time now and it continues to not disappoint. Everything ordered arrived correctly, fast, and hot and fresh. The hospitality of the staff was superb and we always had someone checking in on us. The place was clean and very spacious. Looked like it could easily accommodate a larger crowd. Their fish is to die for! Fresh, crisp, and hot. The tartar sauce is more mustardy (which is how i prefer it), complimenting the fish very well. The salmon was crisp on the edges and cooked perfectly. It fit so well with the Mediterranean salad. The pita bread was even served warm with our meals!! I love how all the sauces are ready to go and served on the side - perfect if you prefer to dip or drizzle over your meal. 10/10 would recommend this place to a friend!! An abundance amount of to-go orders going out the door while we dined and I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint there either.

Adorable place with a comfortable feel. Ordered easily at the counter and food came out super hot to our table. Fries were okay as was the fried flounder. Highlights were the fried shrimp, hush puppies and chocolate milkshake.

LOVE this Shomars!! They have absolutely never let me down. Dine in or take out, it's all amazing! The service is always exceptional and the food is so delicious. Their tartar sauce with the founder is my absolute favorite. The food is always so fresh and comes out quick! I love when I'm in the area and get to grab a meal here! Plus, the restaurant is clean and the employees check on you just the right amount ... always available to grab you an extra sauce, box/lid, or more water. Thank you Shomars!

While having a dental cleaning next door today my hygienist recommended lunch at Showmars. She raved about the famous fish sandwich & salads. I had always passed this place and never knew what the menu was like. Southern- Greek ? Two of my favorite cuisines fused ? I decided on the famous fried flounder sandwich. I made it a combo by adding a greek salad. The service here was excellent and the flounder sandwich really blew me away. The fish was good quality, lightly battered, flaky and the tarter sauce was not full of sodium. The salad could have used more fresh greens but it got the job done. I found the menu prices affordable and the service here was excellent. I will definitely return for the fish.

"Consistency Matters"…read more The food is delish, let's start there. This hasn't been on my bingo card for a while and boo hoo! The garden pizzette and chicken shawarma are fan favorites for a reason. Chicken Shawarma is a (IMO) well seasoned cinnamon forward profile that delivers a tender chew. Don't let the cinnamon description deter you. The flavor is complex, savory, and very good! The garden pizzette is delicious. The perfect mixup of feta, mint, tomato, and cucumber...Chef's Kiss (dip in hummus and/or tzatziki for that extra, extra added flavor). We also loved the tzatziki/lebnah sauce. Perfect balance for our Americanized palate. My biggest complaint, would be consistency. I ordered twice in one week. Each meal was delicious, but noticeable different. Not a huge factor, but one I thought worth mentioning. Bread was whole wheat ... cool/ not a problem .. but also not my preference. All in all, a darn good meal! Sold side options. Fast casual Mediterranean/Lebanese : 4.5

I was going to be closer to the Raleigh location this past month so I decided to go to the Raleigh location and see if they could do the same as cary. I went in and asked a young man he said that should not be a problem for me to put in my catering orders and then have my payment done a certain way at the register, as they usually do, in cary. I placed my order and got to the register and then the very nice girl that was there was going to ring me up. She wasn't sure how to manually enter my credit card information that I needed to give, so she asked what I'm going to assume was her manager or whoever was in charge that day? The woman turned around and looked at me as if I walked in and started in her face. Her face was so disgusted, twisted up, and snarled with disapproval. She asked me, with a huge attitude, "what was going on here?". I politely explained the situation, which is that, at the Cary location our company pays over the phone when I arrive. I handed her the phone to give her the credit card information and she was speaking to my boss (who is a very world-renowned doctor) about the payment info. She was so rude to him and said "well usually we don't do this but we'll do it this time". I informed her that from now on, since it was such a problem we will gladly go to the other location or just another restaurant in general. The younger people at the register were extremely friendly and polite and really made this experience the most positive thing from this whole trip to this location. As I was leaving the female who had the attitude earlier did say that she " was sorry, and that she just didn't know what she was walking into". At this point, I really did not care about an I'm sorry, because I will never go back to this location. I don't care who or what she is, but if she doesn't know what she's walking into, then the best idea for her(if she had any business or common sense)would be to approach it in a professional manner and not with a stank attitude. I have worked in doing catering sales, amahing businesses, throwing events, and ordering multiple catering orders for other businesses that I run. I have never and would never, approach anyone like this if I was uncertain of any situation. It puts a really bad look on their whole concept. I have already talked to multiple people about this and told all the physicians that I work with. I have also discussed this encounter with other people who do multiple orders for catering and other event networking groups. I will never be ordering from this location again. I hope whatever they do, they get it right, and start hiring people who appreciate having a job, to make sure that no one else feels so turned off by someone like this. I'm only giving a two stars for the Friends League kids that were at the counter and at the cash register

Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable evening became one of the most chaotic dining experiences I have ever had. To be very clear: the food was excellent. The appetizers and entrées were delicious. This review is entirely about the service and overall execution, which was extremely disappointing. My sister-in-law and two friends arrived before I did. Approximately 20 minutes after I arrived, my sister-in-law still had not received her glass of wine, while the other two had finally received their drinks. She was then told that the wine she originally ordered was unavailable--approximately 20 minutes after placing the order. She chose another wine and ultimately waited about 45 minutes after arriving to receive her first drink. Our appetizers were also delivered sporadically. The first arrived after about 25 minutes, with the others coming roughly 10 minutes later. Our remaining drinks took another 20-25 minutes, and at one point two guests still hadn't received theirs and had to remind the staff what they had ordered. I spoke directly with a manager at that point because I wanted to make sure he understood how the evening had started. Given the repeated delays, we decided to order bottles of wine rather than continue waiting 20+ minutes for individual drinks. I told the manager exactly which three bottles we wanted and even pointed them out on the menu when he asked. Five minutes later, our waitress came back with a pen and paper and asked us to write down the exact wines we wanted from the cellar. At that point, I was honestly flabbergasted. When the wine finally arrived, one bottle was placed on the table unopened. The waitress attempted to open another, apparently hurt herself, and walked away without explaining what had happened. I later learned she had injured herself and genuinely felt bad about that, but the lack of communication left us very confused. She eventually returned with one opened bottle--but we had no wine glasses. One of our guests had to ask for them. We requested one for everyone, but two were missing. We had to ask again, and the wine still wasn't poured. When I asked about the other two bottles, I was told she couldn't open them and was waiting for someone else to do it. We had ordered three bottles for eight people and could only actually drink from one. Again, the food was fantastic, which made the service issues even more frustrating. At the end of the meal, I asked to have the bill divided into three checks. We were told their policy doesn't allow customized checks for parties larger than seven. Normally, I would have accepted that. However, given everything that had happened, I asked if they could accommodate us. I wasn't asking for eight separate checks--just for the drinks and appetizers to be divided among three checks so my husband and I could cover my sister-in-law, who had only had one drink. They eventually accommodated the request, but not without considerable frustration. They then offered complimentary desserts because of the problems. We declined dessert and asked instead to have two drinks comped, which they did. Unfortunately, there was one final issue. We were given QR codes to pay our checks and added 18-20% tips, despite everything that had happened, because we knew many of the problems weren't necessarily our waitress's fault. When we received the printed checks afterward, we discovered that gratuity had already been added to all three checks. It had not been clearly indicated on the bills we paid, so we had unknowingly tipped twice. We had to get the manager involved yet again to have the duplicate gratuity corrected. To say the evening was a cluster**** would be an understatement. I worked in fine dining in my twenties and frequently dine at high-end establishments. I understand that busy nights happen, mistakes happen, and not every issue is within a server's control. But this was not one isolated mistake--it was a continuous breakdown in communication, timing, coordination, and attention to detail. What makes this particularly disappointing is that eight people made a significant effort to travel to celebrate an anniversary and birthday together. We came expecting a special evening. The food was worthy of the restaurant. The service was not. I sincerely hope this was an unusually bad night, because with food this good, the restaurant has the potential to deliver an exceptional experience. But at this price point and for a high-end establishment, the level of disorganization we experienced was simply unacceptable.

The service was friendly, though it seemed like a team effort, so different staff members would take our order or bring out food instead of one dedicated server. That occasionally led to delays when we asked for refills or extra plates, and we usually had to repeat the request to our waitress later. For dinner, I shared the Kofta Kebab and Lahmacun with a friend, and the portion size was just enough for both of us to leave full. Unfortunately, parts of the kebab were burnt, so maybe we just caught them on an off night. Surprisingly, my favorite part of the meal was the warm pita bread they brought to the table.
